Honestly I think excluding body types thinking you got em weeded out is a faux pas, and that exclusive selection should only be performed after the visual aid. Like... are you got or not

Body positivity should not apply to anyone. It´s just a way for ugly people to fool themselves into thinking they look acceptable.
I somewhat disagree, body positivity should apply to people with deformities. Like missing limbs, Burn scars, or other things that are not really fixable. But it shouldn’t apply to obese people or those who chose not to take care of themselves.
@Anna__M I could get behind that. But it should apply for skinny guys who can't easily gain weight.
@Anna__M It doesn´t look any better because it´s not fixable. While I can feel compassion for those unfortunate people, it doesn´t make their looks any more positive.
@Taylor_C that’s ok. you don’t have to find them attractive just don’t go out of your way to degrade and make them feel bad. My idea of body positivity is just not to tear others down despite them being (uncontrollably) unattractive.
&Robertcw the thing is skin men can actually change the way they look. As a skinny girl who has a hard time gaining weight in a world where men like em thic. I understand where they are coming from. But I also don’t think I should get special treatment due to a problem that isn’t 100% permanent.
Body positivity is for everyone. Our bodies are literally vessels carrying us around, and everyone would be grateful for their bodies and take care of themselves.

You have no idea about the lack of self confidence an obese person has. We need people to help get us out of a hole or repetitive cycle. I genuinely believe my obesity is because of the bad habits I was taught as a child. Rather than shaming we need to get behind people and it may be by telling them they are overweight. Teaching people to break cycles and education on diet and excercise so the person can have proper nutrition and proper fitness regimes. But it won't happen by shaming them. It will happen by encouragement and helping them break the cycle.
What is called "body positivity" these days is a delusion. It's a convenient means of sidestepping personal responsibility when it comes to healthy living. But it eventually catches up with those who embrace it (premature death and severely compromised quality of life from strokes, heart disease, and even bone damage from the excess weight on the frame).
It does. Though it depicts majorly women, I have seen commercials in which larger men are being embraced as well. The point is that bigger people can be beautiful and can still exist in a healthy weight range.
I do see a high number of people who are ignorant about the current premise of feminism (even third wave). Excluding the outliers (radicals), feminism has expanded to include equality for all and the dismantling of the patriarchal society to be replaced by one that benefits none more and all the same.

I think body positivity is great when it comes to having confidence, but it should never be an excuse to be healthy. If you are obese and overweight, it is never good to chop it up to be body positive. Love yourself, but in doing so, make sure you get to a proper weight for health reason, make sure your numbers are right, put the time and effort into making sure you are doing the things you need to he healthy. If you so that, then your body positivity is a benefit.
Your right, I have had to work out hard to flatten my beer belly, it took three months. I have slot of girls that consider themselves over weight look at my dating profiles, if they don't have exercise as an interest on their profiles I won't make an effort to message them. It's not my fault they have no interest in their body image. I'm only interested in success, and being lazy is not something I like in myself or my partner. Feminists call this sexism. It's just reality for me. Being honest.
there's a point at which encouraging positive attitude to severely overweight people is a health issue. There is a difference in encouraging people to be happy with how they look and encouraging people to be 200 % their recommended weight that can lead to health problems.
Double standards are standard when one community starts from behind. Whether it’s black Americans, women, etc, they started from behind white men. To equal out the bias, a double standard is formed (think affirmative action). So it’s no surprise we get A-holes like this who are mad at supposed backlash.

Women don't want the housewife role of the 50s and yet they measure men the way women in the 50s did. They see how well you can take care of them by your bank account , job , assetd house car land .. etc. they take it for granted men take care of them but reverse the rolls and guys are dumped. women who are the bread winners don't like to support a man and find it imbarrassing. No. More like many young men being rejected. Which leads to self-doubt. Which leads to 'man up' comments, which leads to low self-esteem.
Being rejected is part of being or becoming a man. We do the chasing. I don't know what to say to a young guy who think being rejected has something to do with his looks. Women are not the type of creatures who have a respect for logic. Being successful at dating has nothing to do with being logical.

Actually i have to agree, that while i support women being equal it can be taken too far and can cause a sexist act against men. Especially against men who have always supported women in their cause and the effort for equality.
