I'm an atheist. I say merry Christmas. here's why:
Scholars agree jesus was most likely born in Aug/Sept. Most Christmas rituals are pagan rituals. The tree, lights, the gift-giving as well as the jolly do well mentality. Once you scrape away how much christ is in Christmas it turns out its pretty much just in the name
