Roland, my friend... it's "woke" to tell the truth about anything these days. Columbus was a fucking ass wipe from head to toe. I'd love to see you do one George Washington, another totally fucktard in American history. How he got on to Mt Rushmore is a fucking disgrace.
Not only did that bumbling moron not discover America, he didn't discover ANYTHING. I fully agree that the truth should be taught and the day formerly dedicated to him is now called Indigenous Peoples Day.
I think many people like this from history would surprise you. Many are made larger than life. I wouldn't be surprised if he was banging the queen who financed his trip.
No, I don't think they would surprise me. I would have been surprised back in high school. But after having to do my own research, I don't think I would be surprised anymore. I am just wondering why we are okay with schools withholding information or outright lying about historical figures.
That ugliness doesn't need to be taught to children. I remember watching in school the Nazi WWII films in the death camps shot after the war. They were pushing bodies into open graves. Stuff of nightmares.
I don't know if it is true or not, But It does sound woke, like taking the knee for racial equality , Fake black inventions and of course the racism = prejudice + power. Black people are losing credibility. So any real issues black people bring up people are starting to just not believe it. Generally If it sounds like A SJW or Black person lying because that have an axe to grind then it most probably is.
It's the I hate white people but I want to live with them attitude. Negros rarely look at the atrocities their people commit Who care what a white man 600 years ago did? If you hate white people go back to Africa.
@findacure4wokeness No, it isn't. I can hate "White" supremacy, but love my "White" fiancee, her "White" sister, niece, nephew, etc. I can love my "White" friends, I can hire "White" engineers and technicians.
But I don't have to pretend this nonsense about Columbus is valid, simply to keep from hurting an online racist troll's feelings.
It isn't like you respect me or anyone else who comes from another culture/make-believe race anyway. So why would I go out of my way to address anything you post? And besides, why am I supposed to pretend that a nameless racist on the net shares anything with the people I love? You don't speak for all "White" people.
White Supremacy, White Nationalist, White Separatist. Do you even Know the difference? Does racism = Prejudice + power? If you want to study that racist mind we are going to need to know the definition. I respect some Negros just not most of them and for the reasons I mentioned before. You sound like every other Negro that never looks at his own Faults and blames others.
Well lying to millions of school children about what Columbus did and what he discovered. . ain't "Black" supremacy son. It ain't Indigenous supremacy. It ain't even Russian supremacy. "White" people seem to be cool with this knowledge, since they are the ones who actually unearth the evidence.
But you will find some "White" supremacist fruitcakes claiming "wokeness" over posting the truth about him.
So. . . I am just trying to add a little common sense to your argument.
Don’t most of the globe already know that he was an ignorant twat? By the way, the Taínos weren’t Indians. They lived on a Caribbean island and Indians live in India.
Don’t many know about the discovery of Greenland by Erik the Red or at least the discovery of Vinland (Newfoundland) by Erik’s son, Leif Eriksson?
Just going on the description of the the Taino by Spaniards. Believe it or not, you will run into folks in this thread who rebut the genocide of the Taino by talking about the cruelty of American Indians.
Dude, I am not going to argue with you. My friends call themselves Indigenous or American Indian. If you think you can rename them, do you. I will call them the name they claim.
Indians for Native Americans is as offensive as gypsies for the Roma and k kes for us Jews and half as offensive as the n word for political reasons (let’s skip that part, OK?). Not all Native Americans have roots in India, just as not all the Roma are descended from Egypt. Many native Americans find the word Indians offensive.
I reckon you haven’t met enough Native Americans. Here’s what the dictionary says: The term American Indian is generally accepted and sometimes replaced by Native American. However, it may cause offence if intended to include Canadian First Nations people.
He discovered america in the sense that europeans didn't know about it.
He didn't discover the planet was round.
He used the fact that planet is round to find another route to india. Thats the reason native Americans are called indians. He thought he landed in india.
Its not woke to tell the truth. Its woke because of how its portrayed and how one sided it is.
He didn't find another path to India. In fact, he never even stepped foot on the North American candidate. We all know he thought he landed in India. But the Indigenous he met were called the Taino Indians. They have no relationship to American Indians.
Hey understood. And just a quick note, I am probably going to take the word of someone from the Balkans about Balkan history, than just spouting some ignorance on the subject. You feel me?
Nah, it isn't used to guilt Europeans. Indigenous weren't guilted when we sat and listened to how the Aztecs would cutting out the hearts of their enemies and sacrifice them on an altar.
It is just that racists pricks are really, really sensitive and project that sensitivity onto everyone else. Most Europeans can live long happy lives knowing that their ancestors weren't as perfect as they were taught.
I was told this stuff when I was 14 years old. While being told the lie of a kind and gentle Columbus.
Aztec priests, using razor-sharp obsidian blades, sliced open the chests of sacrificial victims and offered their still-beating hearts to the gods. They then tossed the victims’ lifeless bodies down the steps of the towering Templo Mayor
But it is used to guilt europeans/people of european ancestry Have you not noticed the only statues being removed or destroyed were those of who were white?
Have you noticed we didn't have any statues of Indigenous leaders until recently? So we didn't have any statutes of them to be taken down. Because we were always told of their cruelty and savagery first.
"Let me be a free man, free to travel, free to stop, free to work, free to trade where I choose, free to choose my own teachers, free to follow the religion of my fathers, free to talk, think and act for myself — and I will obey every law or submit to the penalty."
Yea thats kinda unfair to not have statues of indigenous people of notice.
But thats not the point. The "reason" thise statues were removed is because they were racist, this and that. Which is dumb because back then everyone was.
If we're going to judge people from the past by modern moral standards, you might as well remove any and all structures built throughout history.
So you are not going to address my point. You are just going to whine about statues being taken down. That's how callous your belief system is. The point is we judged the Indigenous by modern standards. Which is why there were no statues of them in the first place. It is why we justified genocide against them.
And by your statements, we don't even seem to have evolved to the point where we might begin that genocide is a bad thing.
Nah, you didn't. Again, you whined about statues being taken down. But you don't whine about being denied the knowledge of who Chief Joseph was.
It isn't even a rational point.
Chief Joseph (1840-1904) was a leader of the Wallowa band of the Nez Perce Tribe, who became famous in 1877 for leading his people on an epic flight across the Rocky Mountains
Fine ill do it again. The reason this is labeled as "woke" is because of the political motivation behind it. That motivation is: trying to guilt trip white people and pretend they are the only ones with a bloody past. I brought up the statues to reenforce my point.
I wasn't denied said knowledge. It wasn't covered because its irrelevant for basic education. Just like its irrelevant for you to know who Rudolf maister was.
1. A racist is the most sensitive hurt being on this planet. And why you guys always try to pretend that all "White" people are hurt by the truth is beyond me.
2. You learned the Aztecs would cut out the hearts of their prisons and offer them as sacrifice in a bloody ritual. But miraculously, the motivation behind telling you that was not woke. So stop being disingenuous. This isn't about truth, this is about protecting your heroes from criticism. For some strange reason, your heroes have to be universally loved. . . by everyone. And if that doesn't happen, it is because of "wokism". The whole idea is absurd.
3. So if Chief Joseph is irrelevant and supposedly universally irrelevant, what is the relevance of the lie that Columbus discovered the world was round? Especially in light of the information the Greeks had worked out the circumference of the globe only 1200 years before he was born. Or why was it relevant to omit his cruelty of his governorship? Or that he was imprisoned for his crimes and stripped of his governorship?
Again, this does not approach anything resembling logic.
And your issues with statues supposedly reinforces this point, when there are painfully few statues dedicated to Indigenous leaders. You faked concern over this, when in truth you don't think their history is worth honoring in the first place.
1. who is "you guys". Who made the statement that columbus is a hero? he's a notable figure because he accidentally discovered a land mass west of Europe.(vikings fid the same but somehow no one else noticed at the time).
Thats why he git a statue.
The woke crowd claims that he got a statue because he was a genocidal maniac.
I mean, Colombia is named after him. You gonna tell me they think him a hero?
Aztec cut out the hearts of their prisoners as offering. Thats something we learned in school. And? I dont remember them passing moral judgement. Its was part of their culture. Many ancient european tribes did the same.
Your school system may have a sugarcoating problem.
Speaking of my heroes. Rudolf maister, kajuh, Samo, King of slavs. Those are some of my "heroes". Columbus is of no importance here.
I didn't say chief joseph was universally irrelevant.
I said he was irrelevant in the general discussion in our history classes. And ill take that back because its an unjust comment on my part.
Find me the idiot who said Columbus discovered the world was round. Thats a dumb claim to make.
The world being round is the reason why he sailed west. wasn't he trying to find another route to india? Which would be impossible if the world was flat?
Who the fuck is teaching history at your schools?
There should be statues of natives.
Why omit his cruel governance? I don't know i guess it has to be child friendly? I think i was around 12 when we covered america im school. And the genocide was brought up. So i guess your schools are sugarcoating it because they're pussies?
Actually i do think their history should be honored. Because the same thing that happened to them happened to my ancestors. Christianity destroyed our culture. Our language was suppressed and outlawed multiple times throughout history. We're pretty lucky to even exist.
You know what, your right. Forget the statues. I've got a better example of wokism.
American football teams. Some of them are named after native tribes. The woke crowd decided thats racist and wanted the teams to change their names.
You'd think they have those name in honor of the warrior spirit of natives in a violent sport like that. Im kinda surprised they didn't go after the army for naming attack helicopters after indian tribes too. And guess what. The natives werent offended. Its the white leftoids that are butthurt over stuff like that. Thats wokism.
Do you get it now? I don't have a problem if people want to tell the truth about history. What i do have a problem with , is the fact that its being used a political weapon to demonize which ever group is the target.
1. I never said who you could or could not receive him as a “notable figure”. Your point is that he is supposed to be universally “notable” or loved. And I am just saying, tell history truthfully and let the chips fall where they may. You will make it through life, if someone doesn’t like some hero of yours and tears down his statue. If you can’t make it, then I am not certain why I should have pity for you. You seem to have little for anyone else. 2. What does the name of Colombia the nation have to do with this discussion? 3. So you were told to believe they were doing the prisoners a favor? Or that they were the “good guys”? You were told to make a positive moral judgement or to believe that one of their leaders was someone “notable”? Again, your argument does not approach rational thought. Why were we fed lies about Columbus. . . and that is considered to be anti-woke and “complimentary” to racists? I won’t let you speak for the “White” race. 4. Columbus is important you. Because tearing down his statue insults you and your “group”. Right? If I dislike Columbus, somehow I have insulted you personally. Even as I don’t know you from yesterday. The funny thing is I can insult your other heroes and everything is fine. Right?
5. Chief Joseph isn’t supposed to be universally irrelevant? What’s this? Your decrees are not just for yourself and for those who share your beliefs. You make these decrees as “objective” statements, right? That “we” are all supposed to build statues for some folks and not for others. Based upon an objective assessment of their “contributions”. That’s not my claim. That’s your argument. I would argue, to some people, Chief Joseph’s struggle to help his tribe is significant. But I wouldn’t be so dim as to claim this is some universal compelling story. Obviously, there are folks who care little for him or his tribe. But I don’t criticize their lack of enthusiasm as being “woke”. 6. You are kidding. Several people make that very claim in this take. @MrTaboo, monoprise, a couple of anonymous posters, etc. all made this same claim. And you don’t seem to understand your own argument. The point was we were taught he was trying to prove the world was round. And that the people from his age, believed the earth was flat. Did you even read my take? As for my own teacher, he claimed that Columbus could tell the earth was round because ships dipped below the horizon. A claim that a five year old just could not refute. 7. Again, why be disingenuous. It isn’t as though you are passionate about the history of the Indigenous. You actually pretend that you are concerned over this when in truth this pales in comparison to your issues about Columbus and his statues.
What is the point to being disingenuous? I don’t understand.
If you aren’t American, you probably shouldn’t comment on American society.
American football teams? Which ones? Because the “Redskins” is not the name of a tribe. The Indigenous who were upset about the name said, the word “redskins” came from the term used scalped American Indians. I know of no team that had an issue with a tribal name.
So you don’t even know the difference between naming something “Apache”. And naming some a team, “redskin”.
Maybe one day you will get the courage to talk with some actual American Indians. They don’t consider their history or their culture, woke.
I know what he was but it is more inspiring for me to think he was trying to prove the world was round. Because the courage that that would have taken is what I need. Now I know he didn't set out to prove that and I know he didn't discover America and I also know we should stop teaching it that way. However I will use it as motivation and say (in my head) he set out to prove it and discovered America. I use it purely for motivation
But he didn't prove the world was round. Everyone knew the world was round. That was a lie. And we have let our educational system misinformed us for decades. If you don't want to read the take, at least watch the video. It is funny and AceVane provides a really accurate description of what happened.
Who do you think sailed with Columbus? All the best and brightest? Fuck no.. the bottom of the barrel of society. Who would be crazy enough to sail across the ocean? Probably thieves and murderers or pirates too. The indians were not innocent either.

The native Americans discovered America thousands of years before this clown. And after them , the Polynesians discovered Hawaii sailing from other islands.
Columbus is probably one of the most undeserving "heroes" out there. I don't always support cancel culture, but he must be up there.
it is neo marxist because it is taught with the intention of engaging phase 1 of communism; demoralization- the tearing down of societal values and heroes to replace them with marxist doctrine and figures.
so what if he did a bit of genocide. all civilizations are built on genocide. i'm proud of y ancestors for being killers because it means they weren't killed themselves.
it is neo marxist because it taught you to be dissatisfied with the narrative of our civilization.
everything is built on lies son. shut up and believe it or you'll be in the next genocide. you will force society to restart that first phase of civilization (barbarism) and build new myths out of the violence.
What the fuck does that even mean? Racists and xenophobes are offended by every single thing. Everything is offensive to "your" civilization. A civilization that isn't even yours. You are offended by someone even disliking Columbus, even as he was greatly disliked in his own era. He was even locked up and stripped of his governorship.
And if everything is built upon lies son, then I will "choose" to believe in my own lies over your bullshit. I will tell myself stories about my ancestors. But the difference is, I won't try to convince you or your children.
As much as your woke learnings are moronic to say the least. Yes, he wasn't the best person. But, hey, 99% then agreed with slavery and the that the world was flat. It was the "believe the science" of the day.
Dud others find America first, yes. East Asians, easy erupeans, then vikings. But none of them made the discovery well known. Columbus did. So he got the credit.
When the truth about a thing becomes known, disproving what was previously thought of as true, this is suddenly "woke" learning - as IF that's a bad thing, huh? Plus, you're only off by about 2,000 years when it comes to thinking the Earth was round. Pythagorus first proposed this around 500 BC, and it became widely accepted by a great many thinkers, philosophers' and men of "science" during his time.
As to slavery being "accepted" at the time, it wasn't accepted everywhere in the world. Sure, the caste system existed in many different forms, but that never made it right, or humane. Don't worry though, the US government probably won't take your Federal holiday away just because Chris was a little shithead.
It's just really interesting that anyone, but mostly conservative right-wing nuts, don't want to be confused with facts or new information when it is unearthed. You don't have the wherewithal to even realize that NO progress or discovery was EVER made without new information or realizations being brought to light.
@loveslongnails To me it is like they are making an argument against the human race evolving. We have had dudes claim that disliking Columbus was about making "White" people feel bad. The same guys who can recount the brutality of the Maya and the Aztecs. We have the common argument that we are applying moral standards of today on those in the past. When you can say that about any holocaust, genocide, etc. They could make the same argument about Stalin, Hitler or any great murderer from the pages of history. The point is to understand these were great wrongs and we can repeat them and justifying them creates the danger that we will.
I agree. The argument that inhumane behavior was "socially acceptable at the time" gets equated with saying "wide bell bottoms were in" during the 60's ! The same folks tell us that the Native American tribes of the North America were savage and constantly at war and slaughtering each other in an attempt to conquer other tribes, so what's so terrible about what the white government of the USA did?
For one, that premise is only partially correct - that the tribes were extremely territorial, some worse than others. But eventually the Iroquois Confederacy was formed by 5 tribes who recognized the senselessness of all the killing. Jefferson and Madison incorporated many aspects of their tribal laws when forming the basis of the US Constitution. People just don't like finding out that, as Firesign Theatre once said " everything you know is wrong". LOL
Well I think because it’s like a gateway to other lies you’ve been told a sense of ‘escaping the matrix’ you begin to dig into other things

It's not that it's necessarily woke to be educated on the true facts about Columbus, but rather the motivation behind it and the joy these woke asshole get out of pointing it out. There is a certain group of people today who just love finding any way they can to drag down their country, and that is definitely a very woke thing.
If you have some axe to grind create your own thread. This is about the nonsense we were taught about Columbus. And why should I be happy about these lies taught as truth. Not many of you can actually address that. You just post about your political agenda.
I wouldn't know as I don't live in Trumpturd land. I never voted for the orange POS. I also don't live in woketurd land with people like you because I can't stand the smell.
@findacure4wokeness Yeah he's always been one pf the more politically motivated and partisan users on GAG. It's just particularly absurd when he posts something about this and then asks people to tell him why it's woke to do so. What a joke.
As far back as Ptolemy, some men have said, "The earth like an orange is round." However, until Columbus, none ever said, "Follow me, sail to West and the East will be found."
It's like saying that criticizing Hitler is just woke/SJW nonsense. There's no way you can defend Columbus and still be a decent human being with morals.
It is almost like they are trying to justify mistreating other people today. Like you should be able to mistreat homosexuals, non-"Whites", etc. today because it is "socially acceptable". There is no bottom to this hole.
No. And no and no again. This thing between you two pretty much sums it up. It's like saying people must eradicate the pride of the Dixies. The south cannot have a kickass cool flag that is thee Confederate Flag. You keep on erasing American history. It must be banished like the cool swastika that existed way way way way way way before the Germans. No one and I mean no one will eradicate the greatness of George Washington. Yet you guys have no problem with Washington. His estate will forever be updated and restored. He had slaves though? Them were the times? You will not stop until Mount Vernon is simply burned down. Wokeness wants that. It's really fucking retarded.
And then you "teach" us all by your standards. Then you wonder why people call you woke? It's the ever revolving door going back to ancient times. The written history, the erasure, the re writing. You are part of that Conundrum! We must remove all statues and history simply because you are butt hurt! You can't have a statue of let's say, Calvin Griffith? A man who is historical? Simply because you are butt hurt? I use the MN Twins as an example, because it's mental and modern/current. You take down everything that makes you butt hurt. Calvin was quoted as saying he moved the Twins from Washington because of negroes doing their thing that they still undoubtedly do to this day. Rod Carew was pissed. In a day and age where racism was rampant. So, he went to the California Angels. Guess what? Calvin simply was being a racist fuck no doubt, however, he did everything in his power to get Carew a more lucrative contract. In retrospect Carew saw that. He has no fucking qualms. He made peace with Calvin. He also had health problems. Carew got a heart and kidney transplant from WHHITE folks. Yet, he did not stand up and say squat when Calvin's statute was removed from the new Target Field. He simply said, in so many words, wokeism is OKAY. Fast forward to Torii Hunter. He got traded to the Angels himself. All because Torii wasn't being payed enough by the Twins.
@schittywok No one is erasing American history. The fact is the Confederacy was a racist theocracy.
That is a historical fact. You are trying to erase history by claiming that flag stands for something that it never did.
What the fuck? Some people have serious issues with George Washington. I know American Indians who hate him. I know people who talk about his slave ownership. I "choose" to honor him. You know why? Because I can choose to honor whomever the fuck I wish. Just don't spin lies about them then expect everyone not to be angry that you gave them bullshit instead of truth.
@schittywok I am not trying to "teach" by anyone's standards. You guys pretend this is so hard. If the we have to learn about the Aztecs ripping the hearts of prisoners or the cruelty of the Maya maybe we could learn the historical truths about Columbus too. But every time the spotlight is on one of your heroes, you lose your mind.
I never said anything about removing statues. But people have a right to erect any statue or remove it as long as they pay their tax dollars for their maintenance or removal. If you want to vote for some cat who promises to build more Confederate statues, that on you. Stop making that my problem.
I have no idea who Calvin Griffith was. I was never made to read anything about him. In fact, my schooling taught me painfully little about the fantasy of race or the experiences of racism.
Are you telling me, you studied the life of Calvin Griffin as a requirement of your high school education?
Can you post one rational point rather than rant like a lunatic?
He was worse than Hitler. Hitler had a bad childhood and thought that us Jews really were to blame for His loss at WWI. He was vegetarian and was Columbus vegetarian? Did Hitler torture people as painfully as Columbus?
It isn't. If you are just highlighting the historical facts like that. I think it becomes woke when people start asserting intentions that no one can know or use comparison to modern morality to imply he (or any historical figure for that matter) was especially immoral in his time.

Last time I remember learning from school, Columbus left on the intention of going to India to trade, which is why he called the natives "Indians". Meaning when he supposedly slaughtered all those natives, he intended to do it to the actual Indians instead.
This makes no sense because why would he want to piss India off and risk them embargoing Italy? What would Columbus get out of that?
Another poster who can't address anything in the take. Even if what you said was true, why lie about him "discovering" the world was round? Why claim most folks thought the world was flat and pretend like he was some genius to figure out something everyone else already knew?

You are so racist that post talking about Columbus genocide against the Taino indians, you are worried about "Black" folks.
That is amazing. Again, I really think the racist mind needs to be studied.
Russell Means would lead yearly marches to disrupt Columbus Day. . . and your racist ass responds by airing grievances against "Black" folks.
That is an actual psychological condition you have.
It's the I hate white people but I want to live with them attitude. Negros rarely look at the atrocities their people commit Who care what a white man 600 years ago did? If you hate white people go back to Africa.

Many Indian Americans are actually very nice except for this autistic OCD bloke. I haven’t heard of an American who moved to India.
American Indians and Indian Americans are two totally different groups of people.
https://www.ncai.org/
American Indians are Americans who moved to India or their descendants. Indian Americans are Indians who moved to the Americas.
Dude, I am not going to argue with you. My friends call themselves Indigenous or American Indian. If you think you can rename them, do you. I will call them the name they claim.

If you dont want a guy from the balkans commenting, please try to keep the wokians out of our stuff
I didn't say anything about you talking about America.
Do you get my point or not?
Seems like you took a detour for some weird reason.
Why is it woke to tell the truth about columbus?
Its not.
Throwing it into people's faces is.
Throwing truth in people's face is an example of wokism?
You are on some bullshit.
I just wanted to make sure.
If you're doing it with a blaming tone, yes.
No, what you stating is nonsense.
We were told lies about Columbus. Correcting the record is now considered to be "wokism".
The U. S. celebrates Columbus even more than the Italians do. They have a more nuanced opinion.
I didn't say telling the truth is wokism. Read again.
Italians? wasn't he Portuguese?
Dude, I don't think you know what you are trying to say. Perhaps you should have a talk with yourself and post us when you guys decide.
Ok i was trying to be formal.
Why is it woke?
Because the truth about columbus being a genocidal prick is used to guilt europeans.
Thats the woke part. Using historical fact to demonize an entire group of people because they superficially resemble cruel people from the past.
While being told the lie of a kind and gentle Columbus.
www.history.com/.../aztec-human-sacrifice-religion
The leader of the Nez Perce.
And that is terrifying in and of itself.
I did address your point. And you said im full of it
Nah, you didn't.
So why did you lie?
1. who is "you guys".
So no, im not faking concern.
Believe that or not.
Ok. Since you want to twist my words, were done here
Nah, I don't twist your words. Your guy has to be universally loved and accepted by everyone.
And if someone doesn't share that belief, you call them "woke".
It's not woke to delve the depths of history to recover the truth
I don't really care about them if I can get from A to B roughly
I am just blocking his posts. He just rants. He doesn't even attempt to have a rational thought.
I don't always support cancel culture, but he must be up there.
first off the term is neo marxist
it is neo marxist because it is taught with the intention of engaging phase 1 of communism; demoralization- the tearing down of societal values and heroes to replace them with marxist doctrine and figures.
so what if he did a bit of genocide. all civilizations are built on genocide. i'm proud of y ancestors for being killers because it means they weren't killed themselves.
That's not the issue.
Why the should I be proud of your ancestors? Why is it neo marxist if I think Columbus was a piece of garbage?
it is neo marxist because it taught you to be dissatisfied with the narrative of our civilization.
everything is built on lies son. shut up and believe it or you'll be in the next genocide. you will force society to restart that first phase of civilization (barbarism) and build new myths out of the violence.
That's your deal.
you were taught to be dissatisfied with our best civilization on earth. that's neo marxism.
conform to society and love columbus. genocide is ok.
It is only marxist to an anonymous batshit GaG troll. Everywhere else, it is possible to dislike Columbus without being a marxist.
"Our civilization"? Son, do you even know what that is supposed to mean?
no it's marxist to anyone who cares to learn
Like I said. Learn what those terms mean. No one can interpret your kind of crazy.
i know what marxis is, you don't
As much as your woke learnings are moronic to say the least. Yes, he wasn't the best person. But, hey, 99% then agreed with slavery and the that the world was flat. It was the "believe the science" of the day.
Dud others find America first, yes. East Asians, easy erupeans, then vikings. But none of them made the discovery well known. Columbus did. So he got the credit.
So you didn't read the take either?
Starting with. . . most people already knew the world was round. Dude, at least do some basic research.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_Tbw5q219w&t=13s
LOL
Not woke at all. Columbus was a dingus of epic proportions.
Thank you for writing this up! I enjoyed reading it.
"You just post about your political agenda."
Ummmmm...
I know dude, truth, facts, science. . all that stuff is political in trumpturd land.
I wouldn't know as I don't live in Trumpturd land. I never voted for the orange POS. I also don't live in woketurd land with people like you because I can't stand the smell.
Roland can't handle truth unless is supports his politics, he is going to delete my posts
@findacure4wokeness Yeah he's always been one pf the more politically motivated and partisan users on GAG. It's just particularly absurd when he posts something about this and then asks people to tell him why it's woke to do so. What a joke.
Yawn. . . why do folks lie about voting for Trump?
What is the purpose to being disingenuous?
@findacure4wokeness I don't remember deleting your posts. But if you want to whine about it. I will shed some tears for you.
:D
You said to me ""bye the way I will be deleting your post"" don't you remember?
@RolandCuthbert I never voted for Trump and never would. Talk about disingenuous. Lol
@findacure4wokeness He does that so much I'm sure he can't keep track.
@findacure4wokeness No, I don't.
It must have been really important!
What's up blue man group?
Why are there so many blue anons?
Why does it matter?
Because being woke is all about exposing someone or something. In this case your holding a man from 400 years ago to todays moral codes. I
Another poster who can't address anything in the take. Even if what you said was true, why lie about him "discovering" the world was round? Why claim most folks thought the world was flat and pretend like he was some genius to figure out something everyone else already knew?
Was that about "morals"?
