Why Modern Feminism has failed

I was reading the comments of my previous Mytake and it has got me thinking: Why is feminism so hated?

1. Feminism has ignored issues that most people, including other women, care about

The issue with the west is that we've run out of problems and yet ignore the opposed women of other countries. Feminism isn't a cure if you can only use it to heal a single person, we need a better future for all our daughters, wives, and sisters! Then, only then, the future looks bright!

2. Feminism has lied to women

The women before us fought bravely so women would be free to live the life they wanted. Now I've seen many of my fellow feminists pushed other women down a dark path.

Showing off your body isn't empowerment. Having the ability to dress how you feel comfortable is empowerment!

Putting off getting married and having children at 35 isn't feminism! It's the ability to live a childfree life without judgement or having children at 25 BY CHOICE is feminism!

Our mothers fought so we could live our lives freely, not just to walk down a singular path chosen for us.

Only you can choose your life!

3. Feminism has ignored biology in favor of sugar lies

Women are beautiful, powerful, and strong. Unfortunately, the world isn't a safe place for ANYONE. Many feminists vow to protect and care for victims of abuse and horrendous violent crimes while ignoring basic safety processions.

A 5'2 woman cannot fight a 6'2 man, don't try to! Luckily many women try to avoid dangerous situations. In the dark of night, there are criminals. They don't care if you're a woman or not, don't make yourself an easy prey.

4. Modern Feminism has demonized Men

Men are not our enemies, other women are not our enemies, most people are good. Many feminists make men out to be rapists, murderers, and worse. It is true that many men fall down a dark path but it is not our job to demonize ALL man. Criminals need to be dealt with appropriately and we need, as a society, to help prevent more men from falling down a dark path.

5. Feminism has robbed men of options while allowing women to step into traditionally masculine roles

If a man wants to be a teacher? Pedophile!

If a woman wants to be an engineering? Empowering!

If a man wants to be a Stay at home dad? He's effeminate!

If a woman wants to be a career woman? She's strong and hardworking!

If a man doesn't want to be the main provider? Lazy!

Feminism was started as an equal rights movement, it is time for the movement to help our brothers, fathers, and sons to have opportunities. Not everyone wants to live the same life, is a freedom of choices that is needed!

Fathers matter, Men are also important as teachers and mentors, they need to be appreciated more.

6. Modern feminism teaches that masculinity is wrong

Men are masculine, That isn't a bad thing. Women are feminine, That isn't wrong!

Again feminism is the freedom of choices

If a woman wants to be a stay at home mom and provide for her family while wearing dresses, that is fine.

If a man wants to hit the gym and become muscular, that's fine too! If he wants to work and provide for his family, that is fine! Masculinity and femininity both require healthy outlets but are not innately wrong, they're good!

Feminism ONLY helps women rise to the level of men and beyond. It never helps men reach the same level as women and it’s never about the responsibility required for having the power men have held. They gave us people like Nancy Pelosi or if you wanna argue the other side Marjorie Taylor Green… the right to work? Yes because doubling the workforce took living wages. Now if we won’t do it there’s a woman or man that’s not a man that will do it cheaper… or a Chinese sweat shop.


People are not equal. Two men arnt equal. I believe we all deserve respect until we show we don’t but otherwise all living creatures should live life very simply… Treat others how you wish to be treated. But societies warped. A woman’s word can steal a man’s money, future, life… a lie from a woman can cause a man to be unable to have a job ever again. Society might even attack them in some misguided attempt to dish out divine justice…

This country may be a patriarchy but it’s gynocentric in nature… This means every aspect of society is aimed at benefiting women over men. Women and children first… protect the women… never hit a woman even if she’s slapping you… she’s worth it so you have to be worth her… we don’t even consider the men hurt by women. Assault happens to men daily we just don’t cry about it. She don’t have to earn me I have to earn her. If she needs and I fail to provide them I fail but she don’t have to give me anything because it’s unfair… We have tipped the scales in women's favor far too much.


One thing to consider… If women quit their jobs right now what 5 industries would collapse? Nursing, entertainment, retail, customer support, education… Now what if men stopped? Electricity, plumbing, construction, doctors, oil and natural gas depots… one future looks a little darker. We prop up your comfortable lives. Im tired of being treated like we’re in the way. You think strong men are bad? Wait and see how bad weak men with nothing to strive for are. It’s coming. Look around.

the modern ideology of feminism has failed because people are starting to realise that men and women are not supposed to be completely equal. After all, men and women are not only different physically but also commonly forgotten emotionally and mentally different. Men are created physically stronger to the protector and mentally and emotionally able to deal with the role, women are created physically different with less muscle mass because she does not need it her role is to be emotionally sensitive to care for their husband and children. Things like this. Ordinary feminism fought for more rights for women, women did not really want to be a man in the old days or wear a male suit (until the 80s suits came in), women just wanted to play a bigger part in society, women are realising what ordinary/initial feminism fought for and thus don't want to be apart of modern feminism. I can say ordinary feminism is no longer required, I feel as a woman able to do anything I wish to do without thinking 'well I am not sure because 'I am a woman.'

Feminism is really just a license for women to practice ALL of their bad behavior (for examples): Cheating, going on power-trips, stealing, sleeping around with whomever and whenever, having babies out of wedlock with multiple partners and then collecting welfare, lying their asses off and gossiping to high-Heaven on social media, sometimes falsely claiming rape when they didn't get their way with the guy they were trying to sucker, and many other acts of really terrible un-ladylike activity.

I support my decent, upstanding, mentally well-adjusted and balanced female sisters of the world, but I do NOT support all these toxic man-haters, and "White men or all men are keeping us down" female idiot psychopaths. They are brainwashed (like so many people around the world) to believe this, that, or the other thing. Slap 'em and wake them up! Just saying.

For the record, feminism has NEVER been about equality. You actually touch on the truth of this herein, but but the devil is in the details. Equality doesn’t end at equal rights and privileges. Equality also requires equal responsibilities and sacrifices. Feminists have never fought for women to be required to register for the draft. They’ve never fought for fathers to receive equal parental rights and privileges either, particularly in matters of divorce and child custody. Feminists have never demanded that women face the same penalties as men when they commit the same crime. From the beginning, feminism was exclusively about expanding rights and privileges for women. That’s all fine and dandy, but it’s not equality by any stretch of the imagination. Feminism will continue to be rejected by intelligent and fair-minded people until feminists demonstrate fair-mindedness. The whole thing about "helping women in other parts of the world" is so fascinating. I honestly believe Western feminism is one of the biggest enemies to helping women in third world countries. Why? Because for the most part, it has bought into the whole "white man bad, minority good" mantra. Basically, patriarchy and evil was invented by the white man and minority women are the most saintlike and can do no wrong. If they commit a crime? They're justified. Feminism will not only turn a blind eye to violence against women in other parts of the world (in the name of "intersectionality" and other ridiculous terms), but turn around and blame the victims from these countries of "Islamaphobia" or something like that.

Take Ayaan Hirsi Ali, for instance. She is an ex-Muslim atheist who was a victim of female genital mutilation (a common practice in the religion of Islam). Is she hailed as a feminist icon? Nope. She's condemned as an Islamaphobic, racist, etc. Why? Because what happened to her doesn't fit the feminist narrative... and feminism has lost it's sanity.

That's something we can add to the list: feminism is an enemy to third world country women because they openly stand up for the abusers and blame the victims.

Yeah I still remember when I was younger it was common to see this one commercial on TV here that compared men to trash, to be recycled, used and thrown away whenever they had outlived their purpose. This was fine apparently. So many modern societies have grown so used to being sexist towards men that way it doesn't even register.

Noticed that too about masculinity. You are not allowed to be it, but for me, being masculine in whatever way I might be, is as natural as period is for a woman. But in my experience you are shamed for being masculine and shamed if you are human. My wife showed me a post a few days ago, which I agreed with too. It was a post about Norwegian men being : when they are happy and sad. Not smiling when happy, not frowning when sad, wife have experienced me this way too. Basically you can't tell if im angry, sad, happy, depressed etc, it's all the same neutral face. I always thought it was just my quirks, but can kinda seem like are many men that way in my country, but I do know, are also plenty of men who are not like that at all. But makes me wonder, about the era that I specifically grew up in, what kind of impact it might have had. You became a robot, cause any sign of anything is wrong. No tears, no smile, no nothing.

When I began high school in 1969, there were cliques. We called one clique "the hippies". They were all about peace and love, opposition to war, support for equal rights and liberty, and distrust of authority.

The hippie chicks were into "women's lib". It was pretty tame. They refused to obey female dress codes. They obviously supported equal opportunity. They weren't promiscuous, but they were sexually liberated in a time when the pill hadn't been around for long. There were free clinics that provided all kinds of services to both men and women.

I totally supported "women's lib" and still do.

Those "hippies" had, what I describe as, liberal values. Those are MY values. But, over the past decades, liberalism has been hijacked and driven completely off the rails, just as has "women's lib".

I suspect that some big money with secret agendas promotes and/or creates radical players to subvert movements. Another example of that of BLM. The globalists want chaos.

2. You contradicted yourself. Dressing "sluty" is how some women feel comfortable. Doing so without fear if judgement is empowerment.

Today the average age for women to be mothers is 31. Average. So what? Better to do it when they are more mature and financial stable with a good partner in the same condition or not?

The original message of feminism was noble. Just like every other organization though, first comes self preservation. They can’t reach their goals if they don’t edit but again once their goals are reached they still focus on self preservation. It’s extremely common for organizations to outlive their goals.

Realistically we would be better off with separate schools for boys and girls so that each school can focuse on the education techniques that work best for each sex.

We can neither hold accountable nor trust a single public school system to teach in an equable way for both.

Like it or not boys and girls are programmed to be different in how they learn to better work with their biology.

Boys need a more competitive and technical environment, girls need a more people focused environment.

Declassified records show that Gloria Steinem and other feminists were on the CIA payroll. Companies reaped huge profits while the real income of men has actually decreased since the 1970s. The economic impact of feminism combined with mass immigration (another program favored by corporate and government elites) was to send the cost of living skyrocketing while reducing real wages. So sure, couples have a theoretical choice about whether one stays at home or works, but in reality most are compelled to have both working. The intangible costs in terms of children seeing less of parents is significant too. All of this to make the wealthiest among the elite richer than ever relative to the greater population. Sheesh, some of the comments are really going too far.

I understand your point, but I think the real enemy here are extremist feminists. Just like there are extremists in religion, extremism leads to conflicts like you mentioned (for example, extremist Islamist vs muslim). I can compare them because they are both ideologies.

I also think most of this negativity is mostly seen online and on mainstream media. Most normal people you encounter in real life have moderate views and don't have this black and white thinking.

It is a myth that feminism is about equality. It has never worked towards equality, instead it is a supremacy movement hiding behind a label of acceptance and equality.

I base this on the fact that feminism has, from it's inception, wanted equal rights, but not equal responsibilities. The vote without the draft (the way that the common man got the vote was the draft, it was so intertwined that it was the key argument that the anti-suffragettes used to fight against the vote for women) is a great example.

A modern example is breaking the glass ceiling while keeping the glass slipper (just as most CEOs and head of companies are men, so are most homeless. Risk must equal gain and feminism wants the perks without the risks)

You're basically correct with what you say here, but... well... it's not as simple as this. For example, the teaching profession is losing people, from both genders, at an ever-accelerating rate in my country (Australia), but the reasons for this are many, and men being perceived as "paedophiles" I do not think is one of them (it has more to do with teachers being under a lot of stress, with long hours, poor pay, and horrible students who can basically get away with murder). Plus there's the fact that children don't seem to be learning a damn thing that will actually be of use to them (ex. how to spell, tell the time, count), and instead are being brainwashed by idiots with a woke political agenda to push. I mean, who in their right mind would willingly subject themselves to that? It just isn't worth it.

"Modern feminism isn't feminism at all." Call it what you want now, but it's nothing whatsoever like what it started out to be and shouldn't even be called "feminism".
