Just wondering if anyone else felt like punching - something , upon reading some of the responses here.
You people really love to throw around big "facts " that you have absolutely no expertise or authority in. It's annoying especially when it is done out of personal convenience.
Gender neutrality? I find the fact that gender is even stated in this argument offensive. How about a gender neutral term for gender neutrality? I think it already exists... it's called androgyny.
"but Meson, `gender` is natural - males and females ARE different! There are significant biological differences within the brain structure, and our cultural beliefs aren't exactly based on absolutely nothing. Why on earth would you even try to bother to disagree"
This happens in a lot of countries but not America but gender roles and all that are very different for everyone because of culture and traditions. Every one live life on their own accord I won't force anyone to live a life they aren't comfortable living that's wrong. Everyone needs to be open minded of others cultures and not be ignorant so you claiming that anyone who does not agree with you is wrong you are in fact the wrong one for wanting to force your ways onto others
The point of the title is that people tend to think gender neutrality is something "bad", even though technically it is just because they don't truly understand the purpose of it. Which is to see others for the individuals that they are.
Homestly I think large portions of the population think differently about this issue. There should be terms to show the differences like gay is a term and as such I know that I am not compaible with that person for relationships. I like a traditional woman, I dont want to bother with the other type. Pick your team and play it, dont force the rest of us on your team.
I partly agree, but partly I don't. I personally do not need to create types and terms to see and assess whether I find the behavior of someone appealing or not. You would see if someone is undesirable, whether there is a collective term as "gay" or "traditional" for it, or not. In fact, I think by using these collective terms, the information it is meant to hold loses value. These terms mostly only partly apply, after all.
I want a woman that thinks the way I do... Makes sense. Easier to weed through the "no's" if I know upfront what she wants. Dont ask us all to conform to your way of thinking with statemeents like in your title.
Everyone should just be treated as individuals and not by what people think they should be like according to there gender. Thank you for your take on this. ☺

If you don't want to assign yourself a gender, that's fine. But you can't tell people they shouldn't do so. That can make them really really uncomfortable. If someone wants to assign themselves a gender, that's THEIR choice. Not yours.
Well of course. But there are numerous other ideals, labels and identities that you can use to define yourself, many that don't result in psychological trauma if overdone.
Oh geez lol Women should/can do the same thing lol! And being a man means different things to different people
Some people it means riding horses and wearing cowboy hats As far as gender neutrality i dont think it works in society, its not natural Men and women aren't equal, but thats not to say one is better than the other we are both beautiful in our own way
So long as society clings to "gender roles" we will be slaves to group conformity. Everyone has to act a certain way, even if its not natural for them to act that way. People are so judgmental.
Technically though, there's only a part of the expectations that you *need* to follow in order to not to get backlash for it. For example, as a male, you can't really wear skirts, otherwise you can run into severe problems. But whether you suppress your emotions and try to be purely logical and strong and put up a facade to make sure you look indestructible on the outside, well that's pretty much up to you. Many of these elements only come up in given contexts, and those who would judge you for it wouldn't necessarily learn of it. In the end, there's balance, you don't have to give yourself up completely for the sake of others.

That's kinda the reason why I felt writing this take was necessary. Some people just don't see that there is an alternative way to looking at things.
that's exactly how I feel everytime I read some feminist propaganda :)

Smart.

Im sorry I had to giggle at this
Thank you for this take. I like this. However, maybe humans should look more at the similarities instead of the differences.
Very proficiently written sir, I appreciate it :-)
Haters should read that "The purpose of gender neutrality is not to erase every difference." before misjudging.

Lol ok my bad i read it but maybe I got a different understanding from it
Nah, you are not the only one. The point is that I wanted to share my take on this subject, and that is what happened :D
Yeah but now I understand what you mean it isn't bad or anything

YES THANK YOU. And for the people complaining, he addresses both men AND women equally.

As long as i have a dick and balls i will keep acting like a man
interesting take though
¿What does acting like a man entail?
Being me! doing what i do
Making decisions and trusting my gut homie
@Noxifer626 you got a response
@PiuBelloAmante if that's what "men" do, then what do "women" do?
@PiuBelloAmante All of that can be related to women as well. So that's not acting like a man. It's a philosophical question, really.
Oh geez lol
Women should/can do the same thing lol!

I enjoyed reading this take and all the comments on this take.
It would be good - if it existed anywhere.
Well it is only a question of values. So the majority rules. Maybe if more people will understand... :D

This was gloriously written.
I agree completely
