Implications of the loss of self esteem in todays society in teenagers

Presently in our society today young men and women are consistently exposed to increasingly provocative and grotesque scenes. Expectations of young men I have experienced myself, there are constant ads playing saying I need to become a man, an ever increasing list of expectations are pushed on young women to look beautiful, to have nice boobs and butt by our very culture itself.

Young men will get plastic surgery for their breasts so they are not made fun of. People keep asking the question of why a kid won't exercize or a young women won't look prettier. It creates this overwealming need think and habitually scrutenize their own actions, building berriers to block hope for self esteem to come back making it near impossible for them to feel at peace. This causes children to grow up sooner and cause often mental implications of doing so.

As for young women I cannot speak for however my ex always had to look pretty, she needed to constantly be complimented by me or some other guy. If she wasn't she would quickly become depressed, dressing only more provocativly to attain more attention. With the overwhelming issues of young women frequently being driven to look prettier and young men being forced to be inside and not being taught properly in terms of education you end up with two sexes merely living an existence of guessing their own moves and actions.

Young men and women Learn differently. These days, males, who are active by nature are indoors taking multiple choice tests and not progressing towards something he feels is important. When placed into an environment like this they quickly will become insociable and will push away from social contact much like a dying dog does. Implosive behavior is a term in psychology where your emotions are bottled up until that bottle explodes....I am not saying school shootings are because of this one thing however this could play a very significant part in creating this implosive behavior.

This is just my view on how kids are quickly becoming adults, I find it terrible. When there are issues with someones mentality it usually can be traced to actions taken or not taken by others when the person was young. So essentially we are raising with the society we live in now a force of mentally ill equiped, low self esteemed unhappy young people who are quickly turning to alterntive outs such as drugs to handle the increasing irrational societal expectations. I am just irritated that even though we are progressing we are still focused on topics that have been resolved or are now in the past, rather than focusing on the future.
