I listen to lots of woman saying 'there's something about brad pitt' and I don't understand it. He's the male icon of our modern times, yet there are many guys who in my opinion are better looking/'sexier' (btw I'm 100% straight) - so girls, just what does brad pitt have that we other men don't?

i mean I've seen many girls who are more attractive than her but because she is in the public eye then that means more guys are exposed to her and it doesn't hurt that she was in an action movie that was geared prodominantly towards guys

believe it or not there are a lot of girls out there that don't like brad pitt but it all depends on the girl's individual taste

i guess that the best answer I can give you is that "back in the day" he was young and attractive (not saying he's not now) but I guess that because he was kinda the cookie-cutter good looking guy that girls all ogled because...well, he was there. many women still "love" brad pitt because they remember him being the young, hot star in all of the movies

Brad Pitt used to be really really hot when he was young. He was very attractive, but now that he's older he's not nearly as attractive anymore.

I have never found Brad Pitt to be out of this world hot. He is attractive but I find him kind of bland altogether, so I don't understand the hype either. Granted, I do consider him a good actor and I enjoy watching his performances (especially in Se7en).

ive never been into brad pitt...whenever I hear the stereotype too that all girls love him and such I just don't see it..may be he's not my type...and its not even that he's like 50 now even from his young days I've seen his movies and yea... he's just not my type...

im more into badass/musky/sexier men like robert pattinson not edward in twilight but him in real life (despite what people say I like his attitude and style, just turns me on he's a total bad boy!) I also like adam levine from maroon 5...id marry him anyday! zac efron is cute too and so is jesse mccartney (at times)

i don't like Brad Pitt, I don't think he's attractive. I think Johnny Depp is attractive sometimes, I thought Orlando Bloom was hot when he played an elf, I can't deny that Zac Effron is gorgeous. Josh Hartnett I think is weird looking, Clooney is ok, I don't know who Crawford is.

i definitely prefer Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

I honestly don't like any of the guys you listed; I've come across plenty of guys in everyday life who look better than them. Brad Pitt isn't terrible looking, but he's old enough to be my father.

If I had to make my own list, I would say Jensen Ackles, Shia LaBeouf, and James Franco are at the top.

As a person tied to the industry everybody knows that sheer charisma won't get you as far as the team of people that advocate for you. Stars have a carefully controlled image which keeps them in the public interest. This also explains the infatuation of the masses. Before Pitt was famous he'd walk around as a dirty hippy in a poncho. Now they have him in casual suits an expensive designer clothes. He emulates a bourgeois everyman. Which maybe he is or isn't. His image = Attractive force
