Platonically sharing a bed with the opposite sex?

From both guys and girls, I want to know if this is something you do with friends. If it ever means more consciously or subconsciously, though that may be harder to confirm.. And, how do you feel about it? I've heard so many varying opinions, like one friend who won't share a bed with the opposite sex unless they're dating, or another who will sleep in anyone's bed and doesn't care..

I honestly think sharing a bed isn't any form of platonically. Cause Bed is a sensitive word, anything related to bed wouldn't get away from the feeling of trust, for example you wouldn't sleep with a bear, it will take you as snack anytime it wanted. So once Two agreed to share a sheet together whatever there is anyother move or not, subconsciously they had feeling in eath other. it's more likely setting a barricade for the moving on towards the straight point. they just wanna slow things down and enjoy the ambiguous moment, very romantic i agree.
The one doesn't care why didn't he/she sleep on the floor? What if the one he/she sleep with is a troubler, hmm? an ex criminal or rapist?

This is funny as shit to me.

I will share a bed with anyone, clothed or naked or in just underwear. Does not matter to me what is worn or what the gender is. I am mature enough and adult enough that I know we are there to sleep, nothing more. Sure, body parts might touch, you might wake up with a hand cupping a breast or feel an erect penis against your backside or a hand on your bed-mates erection but that all happened while sleeping or was not intentional. Big deal. It's funny how society hears "sleeping together" and automatically think that it is sexual. Shows where the maturity level is. Most people are the same way about nudity or seeing a breast or penis.

I've only slept with a guy friend I didn't want to date once and it was because I had no where else to stay because the guy I was originally supposed to have a night with ended up crying half way through... nothing will ever happen with that guy friend though I find him repulsive

in college for about a semester I did have a cuddle buddy. we often slept together weekend nights but no funny business went down. for me it was purely platonic and I presume the same went for her. I liked it as it was nice to snuggle up to someone

I've slept with many of my female friends in a purely platonic fashion, some of which were in relationships at the time and were perfectly fine with it. Sure something may happen while we're asleep like once I woke up and my hand was on my friends naked breast, but that doesn't really matter if neither of you view it as a sexual act.
