Do Swedish men like American women?

I've been interested in Sweden and its history for a while, and have finally started to learn the language. Very interesting, I must say; it has been wonderful so far.

Two questions, though: What do Swedes, on average, think about Americans (US)? And further, what do Swedish men think about American women?

Are we seen as loud, obnoxious, and intimidating to approach, as we sometimes are in other countries? I'm personally very collected and quiet. But having primarily Italian heritage, I definitely do not look Swedish at all. (short, small, dark hair and eyes, very non-Nordic facial features)

I'd really like to visit Sweden soon. I know their culture is more reserved, of course -- I'm just not sure about their opinions on Americans.

I'm Swedish and while I obviously can't speak for everyone here I'd say many swedes are a little bit fascinated by the US. Probably because of American movies and TV series, so people would probably be interested in hearing what it's really like over there from you.

I wouldn't say you're generally seen as loud/obnoxious/intimidating to approach, but people do think you're very outgoing and social. Some people think you seem a bit "fake" or superficial though. Like being overly friendly and talkative to everyone and stuff even though you don't know them at all. Then of course there's the typical American stereotype of overweight, religious and stupid.

All in all I think swedes on average associate America with stuff like Hollywood, fast food, christians, famous American politicians (Bush, Obama and Trump), shootings/ghettos and war/army and Americans with social, outgoing, talkative, fake, stupid, overweight, superficial, friendly.

You shouldn't expect people/guys to approach you. Swedish guys usually don't approach random women here. We're generally introverted people that keep to the people we already know. A lot of foreigners say we seem cold and shy at first, but that once you get to know us we're amazing people and great friends.

I certainly do. I think women have an interest in certain foreign men in general, and Sweden is definitely an intriguing country and I think they have a good image of Swedish men in their heads.
