Doesn't make any sense how black people hate themselves more then other other race, and still cry when others hate them. For example, I've met a lady from the island of Antigua in the Caribbean. Her profession was banking. No one would hire her in her country because she's a darker shade of black. These were other black people who wouldn't hire her because she's too black. If these were white people who didn't hire her because of her black skin. Imagine the riots that would cause?
Once I dated a black girl named Sasha who would always rant about how much she hated black men. The stuff she said actually creeped me out. She used to talk about how she wishes all black men would get killed by cops, and that any black baby boy should be aborted. I mean that's bizarre she'd say this. I've never heard a white girl say anything like this.
Yet one time my buddy Brandon made a joke about black women wearing wigs. Sasha lost her shit and called him a racist. To this day she still hasn't gotten over it. She broke up with me because I wouldn't stop being friends with Brandon.
Black people need to get over what whites have done in the past, and focus on the self hatred racism in their community at the moment. Because right now whites have way more respect for black people than they have for themselves!

Colorism exists because during slavery, slave owners used to put light-skinned blacks "working" inside their house. While dark-skinned blacks were forced to "work" outside, facing harsh weather conditions and performing much harder tasks. So, the lighter you were, the "better" it would be for you. Even tough, you were still a slave. Unfortunately, this idea is still strong in the minds of some black people. I don't know how many times I've heard people I know and some of my relatives, saying how good is to be light-skinned and how bad is to be dark-skinned. It's really sad and ridiculous, because we're all black and human.
The girl you dated, doesn't represent all the black people in the US, or even in the world. That was what she said and thinks, it's not like all black people are like her.
I don't know who Tommy Sotomayor is. I've never heard about him. But, I do know who Christelyn Karazin is and it doesn't seem to me that she hates black people.

This just isn't anything for anyone who is not black to have an opinion on. Blacks are the oppressed people. They get to define the forms of oppression used. They are not all perfectly enlightened either - they experience the same society we all do and sometimes subscribe to racist views. The correct term is internalized-racism.
Racism is bad. It needs to be called out wherever it is identified. Sure, not every accusation of racism is true, or provable (even if true). But so very many complaints are legit, that the rest of us need to open our damned eyes.

That's not a nice perspective you're sharing. You can't tell African americans to "just get over" something as traumatic as many years of slavery and torture. To this day, the chinese despise the japanese from the event that happened (the rape of Nanking: now known as Nanjing). I agree that we should all learn to move past this, but it'll take a VERY long time and the fact that racism is still out there today makes it hard. Although it is hard to say whether or not we are evolving but we definitely are improving and living in the best time. My point is, this kind of stuff takes time.

Well.. internalized racism is not exclusively seen within black communities. People within east Indian/middle-eastern communities, for example, far too often get killed or completely cut off from their family because they interact in one way or another with people that are of the same race, but of a different caste/socioeconomic status than themselves. South-east Asian cultures don't exhibit violence towards other subsets of the same race but there's a lot of internalized 'racism' between say.. the mainland Chinese and Taiwanese, or Chinese and Japanese people.
This is based on black lives matter movement but it seems like they always scream racist, because it makes people think there being verbally attack and they also seem to think it will get them free stuff when in reality its not true. Are there cases of racist insults againist blacks. Yes there is but not its not as big as a issue as they make it out to be. From what i saw working with blacks is there respectful to you if your respectful to them. So when you have a movement making everyone think blacks are being attack and doing months of rioting it can make people think there is a racist issue when in reality there is not. I think it has more to do with politicizing racism by the left. Even someone who has never had racial thoughts, if you keep calling them racist they’re going to get tired of it and start thinking racially in self-defense because they are being mentally segregated and it then becomes us versus them because They feel isolated and attacked and begin looking for others in a similar situation which means in this particular situation knows of a similar race which should never be occurring in the first place. The one calling them racist is really being racist when instead they could have easily approached them calmly stating I feel as though you’ve disrespected me as a person, then settling it between two people, Usually ended on good terms because nine times out of 10 it’s a misunderstanding. By calling someone racism they’re basically claiming that somebody has a mental problem that can’t be solved simply so that they can feel above them when they actually have no clue what the other person is thinking or what believes they hold. Now of course there are circumstances were someone is out right racist but that is actually pretty rare but they are also quite obvious. Usually someone is disrespectful because they themselves felt disrespected or doesn’t like the way someone carries themselves… But as I stated previously that’s where you approach someone and solve it non-aggressively with conversation person to person which is something that is becoming more rare today unfortunately.
