What do you think classifies as sexual assault/harassment?

With all the recent news stories this question HAS to be asked. However, this problem has been around for a few years now
I've noticed girls have been reporting guys for sexual harassment/assault, but than when I read what they actually did, "That is NOT sexual harassment." So what you think classfies as sexual assault harassment. It seems there is no set defenition, so in the US a guy can have his life ruined simply for flirting with a girl, touching her on the arm, or oggling her in the subway.

Sexuall assault to me is when a guy touches your butt without permission. Or touching any intimate body part without permission. When going a night out if a guy suddenly grinds on you or hold your waist is to me also sexual assault. When guys are catcalling you on the street or won't leave you alone is also to me sexual assault. Everything what uncomfortable is for a girl is some type of sexual assault.

I agreed with the first part of your comment, but I have to disagree with the rest. This is EXACTLY the sort of thing I am talking about. I don't think cat calling constitutes sexual assault or even sexual harassment. If he is following you, harassment yes, but certainly not sexual.
And see, that's what's so stupid. What might be uncomfortable for one girl, another girl might not be bothered by it. Public speaking is uncomfortable for me, so should I press charges against my professors?

I don't say everyone thinks what I said is sexual assault. However some girls might see it as one. In my opinion. I don't mind cat calling. But some really do so it really depends on the person

EXACTLY. That's why I'm saying there should be a specific definition by law, because I could tell a girlk she's pretty and she can say I sexually harassed her

Touching a girl in public who is a stranger to you without her being happy about it. You can tell by her body language and you shouldn’t touch anybody in public.
