Many of my female friends, including myself, think he was somewhat attractive, lean body, average height.
He was rich, he wore very well fitting and expensive clothing. Owned a nice BMW vehicle (very expensive car for an average college kid. This should have made him stand out, at least..)
His dad being a director, he had good connections and had potential to have a fulfilling career. His dad was also second unit director on the hunger games, so him and his family had status.
Some people assume that he couldn't get a girlfriend because his personality was weird and he didn't sound quite right because he was a psychopath. But in the last video of him "Elliot Rodger Retribution", he was 22 years old and he said that he was a kissless virgin. He also said that he had been chasing after girl for 8 years since he was 14 and got nothing but rejections. I don't think someone can be a psychopath for 8 years without anyone else noticing. And even if Eliot was a weirdo, plenty of women have gone out with weirdos before.
Why was he such a failure with women then? In his manifesto he talks about how he was ignored by women, how women never gave him the time of day, but how is someone like him who has a lot of things going for him unable to get some girls attention?

Elliot has always been the one shooter I relate to most. I don’t condone the killings, but I never knew anyone who shared my struggles with women until he popped up in the newspaper. I think his biggest flaw was lack of confidence in approaching women & asking them out after a friendly chat. He arrived drunk at a party & almost immediately started fights with everyone before being pushed off a ledge ffs. That’s not gonna get him any social skills! His style was classy but there are classier he should’ve experimented with. I know he had at least one dating profile, but we’re uncertain if there were more (if not, there should’ve been so as to broaden his options). He should’ve gone to more bars & nightclubs instead of gatecrashing house parties he found out about “by stalking people’s Facebooks”
It's true, he had virtually everything going for him, but he was a control-freak who would NEVER have been satisfied with anyone. Even if he GOT a girl, she wouldn't be good enough in his eyes. She wouldn't be attractive enough, or something, so he would want someone else, and the cycle would continue. If all he wanted was to get a kiss or get laid, he could have easily gotten an escort for that.
He was loaded with air of entitlement and self importance. You can tell he didn’t expect to earn a woman’s attention. He just wanted to show up in a fancy car and have someone jump in his lap and do whatever he told them to. He was also young and a lot of guys his age are inexperienced. He was only a couple short years of becoming an arrogant rich bastard womanizer.
He came across creepy strange and sinister, if he had of got a girlfriend he’d be extremely jealous and possessive, it was obvious that something was wrong.
I don't blame elliot, I am very narcissistic as well. I think Elliot should have gone with escorts instead though.
Narcissists believe that they are entitled to all the best stuff and entitled to the sexiest women as well by default. When they see men that they deem to be "inferior" with pretty girls - could be ugly men, short men, very skinny men, poorer men, etc. they get very angry and annoyed.
This is ultimately what happened with elliot, his narcissism combined with feeling like he was outcast and excluded from society and romantic relationships caused him to lash out and kill people..
I think the best way for narcissists to go is to just pick out the hottest escorts and sleep with them or later upgrade to hot sugar babies. This way you can keep your freedom in tact and still get your needs fulfilled of sleeping with hot girls. Elliot didn't choose to go down that road which would have helped avoid the murders.
Women are very tricky to understand, yesterday for example I went to a dance event with lots of pretty girls there. I was the most muscular and jacked guy in the place and at 6 feet tall , taller than the majority of guys there. I felt superior to everyone there, I did speak dance with some hot girls, but two were married.
Two that I was interested in didn't respond to my advances, yet later on in the night I found that one of those girls I was interested in got the number of an ugly black guy and the other girl got the number of a really short and skinny guy.
Women are very difficult to understand and this is precisely the problem that Elliot had which resulted in him getting very angry, lashing out and killing people.
I've looked into his story, and the conclusion that I came to was that he was extremely entitled. He believed that women "owed" him companionship and sex, and that's NOT how it works.
He was weird. And creepy too, and the people who came into contact with him and actually remember him tend to agree there was something really "off" about his personality.
It's not just about looks, or wealth, or status. If you don't treat people with respect (and he didn't) you won't find a significant other, a partner.
Girls probably had an intuitive "stay the fuck away" reaction to a guy like that. There's more to attraction than your looks and what kind of car you drive.
