Yes.
But that isn't the question that matters. The question that matters is "why do men get paid more?"
And unless the answer to THAT question is "gender discrimination," then it is safe to say there is no scandal, full stop.
So, why do women get paid less?
There are two big answers to that.
The first is, different job choices. More men are in more highly paid jobs. This can be seen by looking at college majors and seeing what fields are predominately male lead, and what fields are predominately female lead, and compare the average salary in those fields.
More women are likely to work in HR, for example. More men aree likely to work iin sales. There are reasons outside my expertise for why women TEND to prefer one role, and men TEND to prefer another, but any understanding of economics tells you that the roles are of different worth, and one deserves more pay. The men aren't paid more just for being men. And this can be seen by the fact that the few women who are successful in male dominated fields... make the same kind of money the men make.
Generally.
Because this brings us to point two:
Men tend to work longer hours, have more flexible schedules, and take less time off.
There was a story out of the BBC in Britain recently. A female won a case alleging a male was paid nearly twice what she was, over the same period of time.
Seems open and shut, right?
Well, turns out the guy work, approximately, twice the hours she worked.
The fact is women, in general, are willing to work less hours, are less flexible with their schedule (expecting or demanding certain time off, not staying late, etc) and therefore almost all the difference between a male and female employee, of the same skill level, in the same job, at the same company, comes down to the fact that he worked more hours than she did.
Now, generalities are not universal. I know some women who pursue male fields. I know some women who work like beasts, get all the over time they can, show up when called off the clock, etc.
But when you take every man, and every woman, and compare the average wage of one to the average wage of the other, you are not comparing the same people, with the same skills, working the same hours, in the same jobs.
So women are paid less, on average. But that is because they earn less, through job choice and hours worked, and not because of discrimination.

It is not true for the same job, no. It's illegal to pay two people a different salary for the same exact job. There can be minor discrepancies but only within the set salary band for that role. The salary band for a given role might be 35k to 37k. You might be on 36k, I might be on 35.5k. The difference usually comes down to experience.
The only real differences have been shown in average annual earnings between men and women and they don't take into account the fact that more women work part time and choose to have babies.
The gender pay gap is one of the most well understood, well documented phenomena in economics.
The only real question is about what causes it.
The American Association of University Women has a fairly comprehensive report that will help you understand what's being measured, and addresses causes.

Yes this is the case usually. It is also been proven that between two people with the same qualifications people will hire a guy before they hire a girl

Yes, meta-studies have conclusively proven this. The only exception is Iceland, where the gender pay gap has been effectively eradicated in recent years.
Yea and no
Cuz men are made to work and handle big stress... and not fall for emotion and can stay strong.
But that does not mean some women cannot do the same job as men... some can but most will not be able.
Same for men.Depends. For example, average man making more than average woman means nothings since it doesn't take into account age, experience, education, the field they work in and other smaller factors. If the average woman is a nurse and the average man is a doctor then is it wrong/strange that the man makes more?
The marketplace doesn't see male or female keep that in mind. If we are being honest men are better at being miserable and having no life then women are. I think you can skew the data to make any side seem right.
If companies got away with paying women less, they'll only employ women. However, much more of the employees by all businesses are men.
No, that is very rarely the case. The gender gap is a myth, debunked hundreds of times. Some women do get paid less, but not just because of their gender.
They make more, yes. Do they get paid more in the same job? No, that's been debunked literally hundreds of times.
Depends on the situation..
If we both go out and show out asses to people
You might walk home with hundreds of dollars
I might walk home with a black eye & a busted Lip... so depends on the situationRegrettably that is very often the case.
Depends on the profession.
Based on gender solely, no.
I aggregate, yes.
Sadly, it is true.
Nope
Not really.
