How can America put a stop to the ridiculous agenda of PC culture?

It’s almost everyday in which I see a huge news story going on for such ridiculous reasons.

Hallmark didn’t want to play an ad that showed a homosexual couple kissing because they said it would be distracting to what they were playing.

They didn’t want that kind of publicity in that moment. A bunch of PC police on twitter started bullying the company, and then gay celebrities like Ellen tagged along. If hallmark doesn’t think it’s a good business move to play that ad in this climate, then that’s their decision and they should stick by it. That’s their call.

I honestly feel like this country needs to start fighting back against these assholes, and start letting them know that they don’t get their way just because they’re overtly sensitive minds become offended by something.

You can spread awareness, but these people are vicious. They bully celebrities, and huge companies into apologizing for things that they shouldn’t have to apologize for. What’s pissing me off is literally nobody stands up to these bullies.

Shit is WILD now. I don’t even have an issue with the agendas being pushed necessarily, on a conceptual level. I have no issue with gay people, I’m all for acceptance and normalization of homosexuality, I know some gay folks who are A+ people. But what you said is absolutely right, Hallmark or any other business is under zero obligation to undertake pushing the agenda, particularly if it’s possibly harmful to sales. Hallmark sells greeting cards, not social justice. The current and most recent mayors of Boston won’t allow Chik-Fil-A to open within city limits due to the owner being a holy roller and having outspoken views about anti-homosexuality. It’s kind of crazy to me, because while I certainly don’t agree with the Chik-Fil-A guy and maybe would go as far as saying he gives me strong piece-of-shit vibes for his beliefs, he’s still absolutely entitled to hold those beliefs, and they shouldn’t have a thing to do with selling chicken sandwiches. Customers can decide whether or not to frequent the business if they’re personally offended. I don’t know, I just take issue with people who try to prevent people with different beliefs from being successful, like they can’t stand that someone they disagree with is also wealthy. I don’t really eat Chik-Fil-A much, but that’s because it’s fast food and counterproductive to nutritional and fitness goals I have. But you can’t just freeze out people with some umbrella policy because it upsets you to see them succeed. “Cancel culture” is absolutely insane. R. Kelly is my favorite R&B singer. He’s also a legendary piece of shit. But you can’t just cancel his music and pretend it never existed. You can personally stop consuming it, but I’m not going to. And I’m not mad if they bury this guy under the jail, someone should probably just kill the guy, fuck legal recourse. But I’m not going to be bullied into pretending Ignition Remix isn’t Mt. Vesuvius fire flames. Just listen to the song and enjoy it. Or don’t, if it makes you feel some type of way. But just do you, and let others do them, period. R. Hey, PC culture is not a massive thing in my country and we are becoming more tolerant because nobody screams at us. Do I like the idea of being told I'm a privileged white male that is inherently racist, homophobic, transphobic while that person doesn't know me nor my life at all? Uh duh. And speaking of him, jesus fucking christ, are we going to argue over an ad like we did about the blue or yellow dress? On both sides of the aisle. Is this what human rights and civil rights has been reduced to? I choose no. You can choose an approach where maybe, just fucking maybe, the middle side, who is not calling every creature racist while being racist, or who is not calling the LGBTQ community the spawn of satan, maybe the middle is the sane and mature approach.

I really hate to shake up your world, but this is literally nothing new. PC culture has been threatening movies, music, and adverts for years with what the general public, the religious, the rich, the political party in power, the majority race, etc has wanted for decades, it's just you hear about it more now with the internet and television and 24/7 news being a thing and people more easily able to mobilize.

Some of it is completely out of control, true, BUT, these things are largely consumer driven. You or anyone else has the right to say I agree with those in question or I disagree. You have just as much right to fight for as you do against what they are trying to market to you and they CAN walk with their money. No matter how tough you think you're company is or how right you are, bottom line, one can't argue with their profits disappearing. A business can't do business without consumers or their money. You say why doesn't anyone stand up to these "bullies," and I say you have the internet too, there are celebrities on both sides of every coin that can tweet, and you can take it to the media----so if the reverse outragers aren't there just as strong as those in outrage, then what happens, happens.

Considering how aware the public is about PC culture, I honestly think a business might be able to profit by standing up to them. I feel as if a lot of people would want to see that finally. There would be a shock factor, and if they’re public affairs and CEO do a great job at articulating their points, I could see it as a huge plus. It's already happened actually. This or last week the so called sexist Pelaton bike ad was released and despite the company seeing a 9% drop in shares, I believe over the public outcry, they have stuck to their guns and continue to run the ad as is. That's one example, however, I don't think a Pelaton stationary bike is a product that most use or let's be frank, care about. It's a take it or leave it, but a company with far reaching ties likes say Cheerios or Coke, has to be far more careful with standing up to the consumer b/c doing what's 'wrong' in terms of PC culture, could mean, people with mortgages and kids in school don't get paid----so a business doesn't always have the luxury of going ahead with their vision unscathed.

People go nuts for gay ads. Embracing LGBTQ culture is a massive plus - and Hallmark has classically marketed to emotion and love.

The "love" flavour of the past few years has been rising LGBTQ acceptance.

Unfortunately, crafting such PC statements took a sort of cleverness that the constant cuts to education left many Republican voters without, so Republican voters started to long for the great times when they could just call brown people drug dealers and rapists, directly. Republican politicians picked up on this, of course, and as is their go-to strategy when their base is upset about something, they simply state that it's the democrats doing it.

So, now we have republicans no longer bothering to be PC with their racism, and democrats not really being PC in the first place. All that's left, then, is the rumor that PC culture exists, which is left over from the Republican effort to blame it on the democrats. And they'll continue to do it for as long as it works. Get rid of the republicans and we get rid of the rumor.
