I have the urge to throw things, advice?

Why do I have the urge to throw things?

Do other people have the urge to throw things when angry?

Do you actually throw things when you're angry?

Do you throw objects at walls or at people?

Does the object you throw have to break to be satisfied?

What other strange things do you do when your angry ( screaming, stomping / punching, etc. ) ?

Well I used to throw things when I was angry why I still to this day couldn't tell you but I would throw things at the wall people anywhere and I would pick up anything that was near enough to me I didn't care if it was breakable or not but if it was breakable and it would break I would feel so much better afterward why I couldn't tell you. I did get tired of breaking things so I went out and got some play duh and made little small balls and stuck the small balls together to make nice size balls and I made a bunch of these and placed them all over the place and when they dried out they would somewhat break when I would throw them. And I would kick stomp scream and curse and push who ever out of my way to get through to where I needed to go. What really helped me was when I started figured the root of my rage and I also got anger management and therapy to help me work through my problems. When I was going through this it was the worst time in my life and now that I'm better, I haven't thrown anything ever again. I wish you the best of luck and I really hope you get yourself help.

LOL yes when I'm angry I want to throw things. However I dont. But I do imagine throwing things, or droping the plate I'm angry just to see it crash. I might throw non-breakable things, like say dropp a book on the floor.

When I get angry I also cry, and yell at the person I'm angry at. Or ill just walk away and go to my room to escape the conflict.

When I'm angry I also get this ability to insult people ( like mention something to them I know will hurt them) but that's the only time I usually get that.

Punching things is good maybe once, if it just builds up, but I don't release my anger that way.

If you're feeling such a strong urge to throw things, you definintely have some anger issues... or even worse possibly a personality disorder. My ex with Borderline would always throw stuff or punch things when he got mad.

I don't get upset easily, but when I do I just try to find something to distract myself until I cool down. I'll usually watch something on TV or play a video game. I never really get the urge to throw anything though. I also definitely wouldn't be satisfied if I threw something and broke it. Wouldn't that just make things worse? Now you're angry AND your PS3 controller is destroyed... awesome!

Only people, and they have to properly deserve it. Been in two fights this past month, one was with this arrogant, juice head who took my glasses, got my ass whooped but at least I got a couple good punches to his face before his buddy joined in. Then at a club with this dude that started dancing with the girl I was with, he started grabbing her ass so I went mental and took him out. Even got teeth marks on my knuckles which is pretty cool.

No I personally don't get the urge to throw things when I'm angry. When I get really angry I turn really red and I start to cry(silently). Tears begin to run down my cheeks and don't stop(idk why this happens but it does when I'm mad). However yes there are other people that have the urge to punch things and throw objects etc. when they're mad. My best friend (he's a guy) whenever he gets mad he gets the urge to throw things and punch the wall and stuff and my brother as well. I'm guessing it releases their frustrations and anger. I remember when my best friend got really mad at work (we worked together) the only thing I would do was hug him really tight and tell him to calm down and I was one of the only people he actually listened too.Which was kind of difficult as he's 22 about 6'5, more than 200lbs and has a cocky look to him. So when he got mad nobody wanted to be in his way. But yea people do get the urge to throw objects.
