They don't get a month from me.
There is no government agency or regulatory body in charge of setting National Doughnut Day. It is just something that different groups do to try to draw attention to themselves. Apparent;y, someone in the lesbian or homosexual activism machine decided to proclaim National Alphabet (LGBTQ) Month, but the rest of us are free to ignore them.

Well I think I can answer this question with this question. Why is this question being asked? Is it some movement to garner more attention for veteran's day and for our country's veterans and get them a full month? Or is it some weak attack at LGBT to move "time, money, and energy" that you probably don't spend on it yourself anyways away from LGBT. Because you could have both, like we could have a veteran's month, but that's not the goal here. You're not trying to do anything for veteran's here, it's more a weak 'guise, I'd be willing to bet you don't care so much about our veterans at all. You just want to attack the LGBT movement. It's not even a criticism of LGBT because the problem here lies in that veterans aren't getting the time, money, and energy they deserve, which really has nothing to do with the LGBT whatsoever.
To answer the question directly, why does LGBT get a month? Because of people attacking the movement/LGBT like this question seeks out to do.
Why do veteran's get a day? No one is ACTUALLY dedicating time, money, or energy to actually get veterans the respect they deserve.
If you really had any interest in doing anything for veterans, I think you would start by talking about veterans that often come home and end up being homeless and/or disabled afterwards. I don't recall much about that talking point, but as I last recall, that's still a rough outline of an ongoing problem in the U. S. But that's not the thing you want to discuss here, you want to whine why LGBT get a month like a 4 year old when someone plays with the toy they weren't playing with in the first place.
No idea but I just wish there were more recognition for veterans especially when most of them are living lives with mental issues that people simply don’t care to pay attention to and the physical issues that they might have too. My stepfather committed suicide in February a couple days after he found out his body was shutting down and he had a hole in his brain... all of that because of the shit he went through in his 3 tours. But the thing is nobody ever took his shit seriously. Not even his white as shit rich family. His aunt basically flaunted the fact he had PTSD... and his cousin and brother would go get him drunk and shit knowing that he had a drinking problem. Veterans need to be recognized so when they come home they get what they need and people know how to take care of them. It’s like once veterans come home, they’re aliens or something and become nothing but a memory.
because they wanna shove it down our throats, most people already are fine with LGBT and stuff and don't mind it, but they can't stop at that and want even more attention for who knows why, and they'd rather focus on non-vital issues because I think it's an escape from reality for them.
I get where you're coming from though, I feel that teachers and other civil workers need much more respect and resources. Most people don't really care about veterans as much unless they know one or someone in the service, and we usually stick together. I personally don't need a month of celebration I'm not that shallow. VA takes care of vets depending where you're located lol, I got lucky at least.

Because leftists are using identity politics to try to gain control of the country and to further highlight differences they make a big deal of months. eg black history month, women's history month, etc. While veteran's day is a legitimate holiday celebrating those who made or make sacrifices.
Why do Veterans get a TWO legal holidays, one to commemorate their service and another to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for their country and LGBT don't get any legal holidays?
Why do Potato Chips get a National Potato Chip Day on March 14th, if Veterans only get Veterans Day in October. Same question about National Receptionist Day in May and National Video Games Day in September and I won't even get into Star Wars Day on May 4th.
See, you're not the only one who can ask idiotic false equivalency questions. So, here's the thing: I've been asking myself that question ever since I discovered that June is considered lgbtq+ pride month. So I typed the question into my browser to see what I could find out. Well, I discovered that, while Veterans do seem to have one or two days dedicated to them, May is considered National Military Appreciation Month. The sad part about my story is that I found out about lgbtq+ pride month because both of the calendars on my phone show this to be the case. However, I had to find out about NMAM from some obscure Reddit posting from a year ago.
So I think the question now becomes "Why does lgbtq+ pride month get more press, so to speak, than National Military Appreciation Month?" After all, I bet that very few, if any, who read this one that May was National Military Appreciation Month.
LGBT stuff is being promoted is it? Or is it simply there to remind us that those people deserve as much acceptance as everyone else, considering how they’ve been treated over the years!
Comparing that with Veterans Day is bullshit. It’s a completely different thing. Are u ok? The military have a whole month called national military appreciation month (NMAM) which is celebrated every May, they also have Memorial Day And other many other one day holidays for veterans to celebrate them and certain branches of the military. But you obviously don’t care about veterans other wise you would have known that.
Because for most of history veterans have been widely respected and appreciated while the LGBT+ community has been shit on, imprisoned, murdered, and raped.
Because the entire LGBT thing has been co-opted years ago and is now just a political tool by the radical left and it's useful idiots.
Higher suicide rate. Plus no one gets the month off.
Maybe because joining the military is a choice and being lgbt not?
Maybe because veterans were always "respected and celebrated" and lgbt not? You're right. And there are veterens who suffer from PTSD and poverty. I'm assuming because the squeaky wheel gets greased and veterans tend not to complain bc they were trained to strive in harsh conditions
i mean society as a whole don't really do much. It's not like the government is pumping money into pride parades. If you really feel like no one is thinking about veterans then go out and do something instead of complaining when someone feels more passionate about something that you dont like
Man here you go again. Seems like something about LGBT awareness or tolerance gets your panties in a bind, and gets you triggered.
You know what they say, ..."Those who spend an inordinate time dwelling on such things are the ones who have personal 'close to home' issues that they need to work out"they served the country as their dutty some are heroes others did terrible things instead of helping so either way they should have some credit (the good ones) but the government doesn't care at all never did. they werent discriminated nor killed for being who they are like lgbt if people werent like bothering for who you are" the pride month never existed" everything would be ok but meh people mind others business sad Tho.
They hardly even get a day now since ignorant lefties who've lived easy cushioned lives wine about not being paid for being lazy while people go through absolute hell and put their lives on the line to protect them.
veterans do not adhere to militant far left agenda seeking to destroy society.
Veterans get multiple days. And LGBT month is about getting people to accept them. Most people accept veterans.
May is Military apreciation day in the US. Pride month exists as a rememberance to the personal battles members of the LGBTQ+ (to which I am a member) had to fight to get equality, and the on going struggle for rights in other countries.
One day is enough for me. I didn’t serve for recognition. I’ve been out of the Marine Corps for nine years. I feel uncomfortable at times when I get thanked for my service.
Because liberals think the world revolves around them
Maybe it's because LGBT don't get paid for being who they are. But still I'm neutral about the pride month. I'm only against transgenderism.
