How do guys, especially male criminals, react to a female police officer in countries that don't have guns?

Do they just hire really big women, or do the criminals act all chauvinistic and gentlemanly towards the female officers, anyway? I've never understood this, but never cared enough to ask until now.

Like, what is some 5'6", 120 pound woman going to do to a criminal who outweighs her by 100 pounds without some kind of gun or deadly weapon on her? Ladies, would you be a police officer in a country without guns or deadly weapons included with the job?

Usually in a confrontation the thugs just shoot them, beat them to a pulp, or push them out of the way. Unarmed policewomen are usually assigned roles like traffic enforcement, family matters, office duty, and other posting that are unlikely to turn violent. This frees up males officers for the nasty stuff.

No idea, never lived outside of the US but I imagine they handle it as much as you think they would i. e. it ends poorly for the officer.

I think even if they aren't armed with firearms, they have billy sticks, tasers and other weapons.

And the female police officers are trained in handling criminals, so I'm sure they know what they're doing.

It's not a matter of just KNOWING. It's being able to physically do it.

@Jamie05rhs; I'd expect that they can or they wouldn't have been allowed to graduate the police academy. It's obvious that they're going to be dealing primarily with male suspects.

Most of those are ineffective though. A lot of men will brush off a taser like it's nothing, especially when adrenaline kicks in. And a man can easily snatch a nightstick or billy club out of a woman, or man's, hands if they know how. Or knock it away from them. Or anything else. And I actually have experience with all of these weapons because I used to work in executive protection (bodyguard work) eight-to-nine years ago, even though I was never a cop or military. Out of all non-lethal weapons, police-grade pepper spray (Mace; CN/CS tear gas, is the weaker version) is what civilians carry.) is the only one to actually stop a dangerous criminal, assuming you can get a clear shot at his eyes, and even firing a gun at someone can miss pretty easily in the heat of the moment.

I wish cops lived in more fear. Almost every time someone unarmed killed or tazed it was a woman. People in jail fear them more cause there known be more violent while mail officers will just beat you choke you etc

Those aren't real cops. The only female cop I know was a fat latino at 200lbs something and her beefy 300lbs something back up. That's why they get one of those SUV car to move around.
