Why do humans make a conscious effort to forget we are animals, who just like every other species in the kingdom, are subject to animal behaviors?

I feel like we as a species live in two worlds. One being the natural world which is governed by biology and physics, scientific and natural laws etc. The second being the socially constructed world of human society, this world however is governed solely by the human mind. I then theorize that this dichtomy is responsible for a lot of the existential dilemmas we face as a species. You may or may not agree with mine, and if you can understand what I'm saying, you may think of some of your own completely independent of my suggestions. But for one, gender roles, through millions of years of our ancestors practicing certain behaviors, men are hardwired and conditioned to want to fuck everything in sight and lead his clan; women are conditioned to nurture and make sure her "leader" can provide stability to raise her children to adulthood. That's looking at it through natural lens. Somehow along the way we gained advanced sentience, which allowed us to evolve behaviorally but to also allow us to project our consciousness into reality. So through the socially constructed lens, we can now realize that to some extent we don't have to live and die by our ancestor's evolutionary behaviors, which leads us today to the movement of eschewing gender roles, single motherhood being a badge of honor etc. But this is where the thesis of my question lies, it has been proven that in MOST cases (because there are always exceptions) single motherhood and a woman trying to tell a boy how to be a man don't work for the seamless adjustment of a child into greater society, we are forgetting that some things our ancestors did, they worked and did it for adequate reasons. Another example is our diet and health, our ancestors didn't really get cancer, diabetes, HBP, and a lot of the other ailments and birth defects a shit load of us suffer from today because all they did was sleep, exercise as a means of survival and eat fresh and what we would consider today "healthy" foods. Ran out of room.

Another example, we forget that we are a tribal species. Now I'm not saying don't fight them but as much as you want to wish away racism and xenophobia, it will always persist because it's in human nature to intrinsically to organize in and find hierarchy and the downside of that is the "other" is often used a oppositional cornerstone to build those hierarchies and social orders off of, us vs them in a sense. Speak of hierarchy another example is the sham of politics

You think by participating in Electoralism, you are doing this honorable and noble thing when in all reality, all you are doing is metaphorically giving your bananas up to the alpha ape, voting doesn't matter
