Does anyone recognize this debit charge name?

I noticed about 1800 dollars worth of charges from the end of January to the end of March in my bank account. They are all a little less than 300 and it says "mentom retail" for each. I live in a state where weed is legal and about this time I found out my husband was smoking behind my back. Which I don't know why he would because im not against weed. ANYWAY.. 1800 is a lot of money. So im annoyed because he's acting like he doesn't know what it is. Then he said it's student loan debt.. blah blah blah. Lies. I'm trying to figure it out for sure though. He basically said it's none of my business. But yet any other time it's "our money" we both work and have contributed to the money in the account equally. But regardless even if I didn't make any money at all I feel like I should know where 1800 dollars is going. Am I in the wrong? He used the words "psycho" and "stalker". I don't see how me looking back in our account and noticing weird charges makes me either.

The big thing is that your husband was lying to you, he said he knew nothing then he admitted that he took the money and used it to pay for something which means he's the one taking the money for something. It could be weed it could be literally anything, but whatever it is it's expensive and he's ashamed of it.

You are not in the wrong for being financially responsible, if he's not willing to sit down and have an adult discussion about the finances, then you need to pull your money out of the joint account and have your own account otherwise he's just going to blow through your money too. Also if he flips his shit at the concept of discussing what the money was actually used for... Consider a divorce. Because he's hiding something and it's probably nothing but your fucking married! You're supposed to be able to be completely honest with each other, and he doesn't want to be

Thanks for the advice! It does feel better hearing it from a guy that I wasn't being ridiculous.

I called the nearest dispensary and they said they only do cash transactions UNLESS you are a rewards member. And I asked what would a charge look like if I were a rewards member? Of course they said mentom. Lol.

I did go a little crazy and "investigate" because not only am I a penny pincher but also I DESPISE bring lied to. So I wanted to catch him up. This is the first time I knew something wasn't right in our relationship. I had checked all the dates and noticed the day before each transaction he had left work early each of those days. Once I told him I think he was shocked I even went through the trouble of matching dates. He ended up admitting he went to the dispensary all those dates. I'm sure he felt like an idiot for spending that much but honestly not even sure he ever added it up until I told him. Because he couldn't believe he spent that much. I dont care about pot but if I'm being lied to that's the worst thing in my eyes. He said he just felt like I might not be okay with it and it just helps him with his anxiety. I'm hoping at this point he realizes that lying isn't the best option.

Do you perhaps live South of Boston? I found this post by searching for the name and it reminded me what it was, a dispensary in Middleborough MA. I forget the name but I’m sure you can Google it if this sounds about right. I believe the service is used to anonymize charges so I bet it’s used by other dispensaries.
