How big of a blow is it to the anti gun left with Texas joining 20 other states in enacting constitutional carry?

I’m sure the anti-gun crowd will oppose this but laws that govern the carrying of weapons don’t make a lot of sense. They’re only effective on people who are law abiding enough to follow them. In other words, the people who are least likely to commit a crime. Criminals will carry illegally and society can only punish them after they’ve victimized someone. Constitutional carry won’t result in a significant increase in firearms related offenses. It will just remove restrictions on average folks who jumped through whatever hoops they had to in order to obtain a carry permit.
