The assumption has been that a large segment of the population is "against" the COVID vaccine. Perhaps the answer is simpler. It is as likely that it is not so much that people are against the vaccine as that they are indifferent to it.

First, make allowance for the fact that some segment of the population will be against the vaccine on principle. Some for religious reasons do not accept vaccines of any kind. This is true, for example, of Christian Scientists and some strands of Islam. There are also those who have pre-existing conditions and cannot get the shot on medical grounds.

Then there are those who object for political reasons. Indeed, it bears repeating that both President Biden and Vice-President Harris, when they were presidential candidates, said that they would be opposed to any vaccine developed under the auspices of the Trump administration. Changing their views only after they won election, at which point they went to the opposite extreme.

That extreme being that the Biden administration wildly overpromised. President Biden's speech declaring that anyone who got the vaccine would not have to wear a face-mask anymore - ever. That now, of course, being undermined by the new CDC guidelines.

In a nutshell, one of the ironies is that Mr. Biden's approval rating on handling the pandemic has been one of his bright spots - but it is unwarranted. In fact, from the outset, the Biden administration's communications strategy on the pandemic has been erratic and unprofessional.

This sewing distrust among political partisans and also, interestingly, in the African-American and Hispanic communities. The African-American community being particularly resistant perhaps due to the lingering historical memories of the medical experiments conducted on the Tuskegee airman.

This being made still worse by the failure of the FDA to cut through the bureaucracy and give its final approval to the vaccine. It cannot be a selling point that, in effect, the government is effectively using the public as giant lab rats.

To be sure, the COVID vaccine has pretty much proved itself, but the occasional stories of side-effects and the administration's inept comms strategy cannot, in context, have reassured those who are prone to doubts. In that sense, an FDA endorsement would not be a disadvantage.

Yet for all this - and there are other reasons - the most likely reason is that people do not see COVID as a threat to themselves and they want to get on with life. For a parallel example, how much of the population fails to avail itself of the flu vaccine every year.

The flu can make a person feel quite sick. Yet people are busy with the daily business of life and as the chances of getting sick seem slight and abstract, they don't make time for it.

All the chatter about a segment of the population being "against" the vaccine is, in that sense, an exaggeration. The likely truth is that most people are ignoring the government, the media and all the chatter. They are just tuning it out and moving on with their lives.

That is not likely an argument that you will hear made very often if for no other reason than the it is hard for the government and the media, the medical community and other such entities to imagine that the public is not hanging on their every word. If true, it would also mean that any outreach will have to breech a wall of intellectual, social and emotional indifference - and that is VERY hard, if not impossible, to do.

Yet Occam's Razor applies. Sometimes the simplest answer is he correct one. In this case, for all of their preaching and pleading, those pushing the vaccine may have yet to come to grips with the fact that a large segment of the population is simply shrugging and saying, in effect, "Yeah, whatever."

Correction: Biden and Harris did not say they would not support a vaccine developed during the Trump admin. Kamala said she would oppose a vaccine that was only approved by the Trump admin.
The only people who think that they were opposed to a vaccine during the Trump admin are people that only or mostly watch right wing news because that is how they swang that. Fact is, they would have supported the vaccine if it is approved by the FDA, CDC, etc... If the Trump admin did not force the vaccine before it was ready.
The context of this time frame was it was right before the election and Trump was hinting that he would authorize an emergency vaccine the day before the election.
Obviously, that would be for political reasons and that is when Kamala said what she said about not getting vaccinated by a vaccine pushed through for political reasons. However,. that turned out to be all talk because that vaccine never came under the Trump admin.
I understand how people can be confused with all of that.

With that said, the Biden admin has never changed their stance, wear a mask when needed and get vaccinated as soon as you can as long as the medical community is recommending it.

You also mentioned that they went to the opposite "extreme". Getting people vaccinated is not an extreme, it is the norm. Refusing vaccines and masks during a pandemic is the ONLY extreme.

      part 2:
Biden's promise to get things back to normal were not far-fetched. We have the capacity to vaccine every eligible American, but what he did not realize was that so many people would absolutely refuse the vaccine.
I'm a scientist, I know how vaccines work and how this particular mRNA vaccine works. So to me, getting the vaccine is a no-brainer. I imagine that for someone that lacks that sort of education, would be skeptical due to the vast amount of false information circulating on social media. And in this political environment, we seem to treat the experts (physicians) as just another opinion vs politicians that do not know what they are talking about. This is a war of facts vs fiction where scientists and doctors are trying to tell everyone what is true, but they get bogged down by the politicians that say the opposite (but lack any sort of expertise in the subject).
No matter what the subject is, expert opinion matters. It is not realistic for everyone to understand the complicated science, but people should trust doctors, we are trying to help.

What people need to realize is that any side effects the vaccine may cause (which is rare) are usually mild. And thatactually getting covid-19 will produce those same effects to a far worse degree.
What people fail to understand is that a virus can rapidly change. We are already dealing with a delta variant, the longer this virus spreads, the more chance it can mutate into something worse. Eventually, it can work its way around vaccination and start to kill nearly everyone that catches it. This is of course, not likely, it would take a long time for such a monster virus to come about, but that is why we need to get vaccinated, to prevent that possibility.

Anyway, I liked your answer mostly, but I felt the need to make these additions/corrections.

@ccrain24 Thanks. As far as your point about Biden and Harris - that is a distinction without a difference.

On the advanced timetable that Operation Warp Speed was pushing, FDA approval was never going to be in the cards. As, indeed, the vaccine has still not been approved by the FDA.

My point was that by injecting doubt into an already highly politicized situation, Biden and Harris were not likely improving matters. Indeed, were no doubt seeking to exacerbate the distrust of Mr. Trump's handling of the pandemic that was, fairly or not, a fact of life.

As to the failure to understand how many would opt out of the vaccine. That, too, is problematic. How many do not get the flu shot every year?

Bottom line, Biden and Harris inserted doubt and mistrust into a situation that would only make popular support of the vaccine more problematic. In this, they now reap what they helped to sew.

As to how science has handled this. The problem is that science speaks the language of A+B=C. You want to eliminate the pandemic, you must to - to mix metaphors - "X" and "Y" and "Z."

The problem is that the public in general - including politicians - do not read the world that way. For them it is more ambiguous. Thus when science was forced to revise its statements in the light of new data, the public did not recalculate what it had previously believed. It merely began to doubt the messenger.

Thus again where we find ourselves.

Also, the authorities have lied about everything involving COVID so far and flip-flopped their stories (from masks to it being developed in a Wuhan lab), so why the f*ck would anyone with a brain trust them now?

And when I say " the COVID vaccine isn't new" I mean the one for COVID-19. I should've stated that earlier. There have been coronavirus vaccines for dogs and rabbits for years, but they aren't COVID.

      1. it was not rushed out, there was a GLOBAL focus to make it as fast as possible. As of now, it is the most tested vaccine to date. More people have used this vaccine than nearly any other and only a handful have side effects and most of those are mild.
      2. It did not have the standard three years because people were dying. Also, this vaccine was already in development. It just so-happened that a pandemic for a virus they were already making a vaccine for came about.
      3. Politicians are forcing no one. That is a lie. They are definitely encouraging it.
      4. The "bribes" only came out in RESPONSE to the vaccine refusals, as someone else pointed out in this article, most people are indiffierent about the vaccine. Getting something for getting one changes their minds.
      5. They are begging you to take it because it will END the pandemic and save thousands of lives.
      6. J&J was NOT proven to be unsafe. It had a 1/million chance to cause a blood clotting disorder, in comparison to getting covid, that chance is 1/100. So, the vaccine is a no-brainer because as it stands, it is impossible to be completely safe from the virus. J&J was suspended for a few weeks and then restated for this reason.
      7. People that understand the science and fail to understand why others do not think you guys are selfish (I am not like this) they think that you are refusing the vaccine because you think you will be okay, but you do not care if you spread the disease to others that may not.

      8. Vaccine passports are highly limited but should be widely used.
      9. unvaccinated people put everyone (even vaccinated people) at risk for contracting covid. The virus cannot survive without a host, unvaccinated people are the only reason the virus is still spreading like this. It is a common-sense health measure to limit unvaccinated people away from population dense areas like offices spaces, schools, restaurants, etc... Because otherwise they may get someone sick that may die.
      10. By not wanting to be a "guinea pig" for a vaccine, you are agreeing to be a guinea pig" for the virus. The vaccine is trying to protect you, the virus wants you dead.
      11. your last statement is absolute garbage/not true.

Because they believe it's either a hoax pandemic, they're getting injected with a tracking device, they're going to die from some imaginary "off" switch, or what have you. Instead of listening to the scientists & medical professionals.

Honestly, at this point, majority of the new hospital intakes, ICU intakes & covid deaths are from the unvaccinated. I hope they all experience a personal loss or extreme long term side effects from catching covid. I have zero sympathy for these people anymore. Unless you're under the age of 12, it will interfere with your medications, are allergic to an ingredient, or already had covid, then you have zero reason not to get the vaccine & deserve the worst coming your way, because it is YOU who is keeping this bullshit going.

Democrats were all about anti-vaccine rhetoric prior to the election, all the way up to Biden himself and 85% of Democrats expressed vaccine hesitancy back in September.

Total idiots who are incapable of sensible reasoning. Who is most likely to get covid? A vaxed person or an anti vaxer? With a bit of luck, we might have a few less anti vaxers bleating all this false bullshit. Wanna cop a load of it? It is your risk, and no one else gives a toss.

Because it was rushed out desperately quickly as an obvious political move, and is being pushed desperately hard as an obvious political move. And bluntly, because it's being accepted with desperate eagerness by an appalling number of people as an obvious political move. There are very, VERY good reasons that testing on new drugs is so thorough, and so long-term; you can't do five-year testing in six months no matter HOW much money you throw at it.

Add to it that they're not vaccines (well, Sinovac is, and possibly Sputnik (I keep hearing contradictory information about that), but their effectiveness is kinda dubious, and neither's legal in the US), but mRNA gene therapies- a technology that has a nasty history of killing test animals and has only really seen use on terminal cancer patients who don't have much to lose- and that they were granted "vaccine" status only to absolve the manufacturers of any liability, and you have plenty of reason to be suspicious. Then remember that Covid is less dangerous than chicken pox, and why WOULDN'T you be against it? Opposing this particular treatment doesn't make you part of the Wakefield crowd.

I have a theory about that and I think it might be psychological.
It's true nobody knows the long term implications of taking this vaccine. Yes, tests have been done, but where as a vaccine would normally take 10 years before being released, this has taken less than a year (I Know it had already been worked on in the case of Biontec/Pfrizer) and loads more money has been thrown at it to get it done quicker. But here's the real crunch for me.
If they had released 10,000 vaccinations in the first place and said they were only going to be available to royalty and emergency personal only, the outcry would have been massive. You would have people selling it on EBAY and anyone with money would be offering thousands, even millions for it.
Me personally? I read the BMA Journals (British Medical Association) and I came to the conclusion IF I was offered OXford/ Astazenica, I wouldn't take it because of the high risk of blood clotting, but luckily I was offered the Pfizer and I had that one (Both doses)
I tell anyone who asks me, do their own research from the scientific perspective, NOT the Government and then make their OWN choice, even though, unless everyone takes it, we will never be rid of Covid because of the way it mutates when passed on.

Every medication has side effects, which vary from person to person.

There is a very very small chance, that you suffer health issues by getting the vaccine. Certainly tiny in comparison then getting the real infection, but it is not zero.

It is basically the question "Do you risk to get sick, to prevent getting even more sick from something, you may never get?"

And yes, I myself am already double-vaccinated. Why? Because I am vaccinated against a lot of diseases and never had any issues with those other vaccines. Knowing how vaccines work, you basically react to the same ingredients in vaccines, so if you never had an issue with a vaccine, chances are good, you won't have any issues with the covid19-vaccines as well.

But some people have allergies, some have other health issues, I leave it to them, if they want to get the vaccine or not. Their body, their choice.

But I am not a doctor, this in no way or form medical advice. Talk to your doctor and do not listen to celebrities or politicians. Listen to what your doctor says!

There are actually good arguments not to get the new experimental non FDA approved "vaccine" that has never been tested successfully in the past. In fact, long-term issues that came up before where the subjects either died or had long-term repercussions on these types of simulated proteins mDNA experiments on lab animals.

Supposedly safe now? From a virus with a high survivability unless not healthy, which is most Americans. Less than 5% are getting sick enough to seek out care, less than 4% with complications needing advanced medical care. It can be deadly, but again, just above a bad flu season (which for you haters, is not the seasonal flu).

If you're young and fairly healthy, not very concerning. If old or not healthy, weigh your risks.

That comes from a person who is older and has one of the "Vaccines." I am old enough to roll the dice.

I would be very hesitant with teens getting it. The heart issues that some will get will be life-long. I would be willing to be many will have cardiac issues after 40. Many will likely die in their 50's. No one, including the CDC can know for sure.

In my state, it's actually mandated that all children are to receive the polio vaccine, MMR, and I believe 28 others on a state mandated schedule. They used to have a religious exemption, but removed it about 7 years ago.

The only way to avoid it was to homeschool. Public schools can't admit unvaccinated kids, and this INCLUDES the newer HPV vaccine for both boys and girls.

I protested this, as my daughter isn't able to be homeschooled, and was told to get her vaccinations up to date, or she's not allowed to go to school, and then I would be prosecuted jailed for her truancy.

That's forced vaccinations for you. When I bitched about it, I was ridiculed as anti-vaxxer, etc.. I just didn't trust the HPV one. It's not clinically proven for shit in my opinion.

Anyways, I do believe the covid vaccines are safe and got them for my whole family. Mostly it's a bunch of sore loser crybabies making anything and everything a political fight to stop any progress so they can blame Biden, democrats, or "libtards" for everything. And they've infected most of the world now with misinformation... if ONLY we had a vaccine for THAT.

People lie to them, a lot. Republican people. Republican leaders and influencers. Most of them, including Trump, have recommended the vaccine at some point, but they're not going out of their way to amplify those statements, and using the lack of uptake to pretend that Biden over-promised, instead of being undermined - 70% coverage by July would have been easy without the counter-narrative.

Half a million Americans died in the first year, as it spread from a dozen known cases. Liars were saying it was no big deal, the numbers weren't going to get big, and they were a drop in the ocean of millions of Americans. They were saying exponential growth is nothing to worry about. They were saying you should just protect the vulnerable, and let everyone else go about their business creating wealth for the man (over 100,000 working age Americans died before the vaccines came out, with only 10% of the population being infected; many times as many got seriously ill).

They ARE saying Democrats were against the vaccine under Trump (when, in fact, they were simply against taking a vacccine released by Trump before the FDA authorised it). They are saying that it's not "FDA approved" is an excuse not to take it, when the alternative to emergency use authorisation would have been millions more Americans dying, each year. They are bringing up old stories of the government experimenting on minorities, when most of the people who have been vaccinated are white.

They were and are saying that scientists can't be asked anything more complicated than "how do we ensure absolute minimum deaths", when obviously they can set out a range of options for politicians to choose from.

Speaking on press or social media is one thing, having a case study is another. This is no more serious than flu? That well may be, but flu is seasonal. We had this pandemic for more than a year now. I doubt it is same as flu.
Hydroxychloroquine as treatment? Did he present samples/studies? Talk to right agencies? Present his case properly? Or did he appear in front of a camera, with a few pieces of paper stating that it just works?

    "Nurses dancing"
Let's assume that those nurses are taking care of covid patients. How many are they in percentage of all the nurses in that city? In that region? Very few.

    "Government gaining more power"
What do you want the government to do? And what is this them having more power? So they decided to do a lockdown, restrict everyone's movement a bit - I don't know, maybe because more people are contracting covid? If more people died - it's the gov'ts fault for not doing anything. If they do something, they are accused of getting more power. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Remember that you still have access to your basic needs, food water, shelter, medicine. Heck even internet and freedom of speech.

Masks and "temporary" in government terms meant "indefinite"
It's becoming indefinite because people are not doing their part. Instead, they don't want to wear mask, they want to be able to party, they don't want social distancing, they want to travel. I think if we had a collective thinking to sacrifice slightly for a year, this will all be over.

Because the shots are still in testing until at least 2023.

Politicus made sure when anything goes wrong it is of risk of the one getting the shot the maker goes free even if everyone would have died.

    I am not taking it.

The sides effects showing up for now are still small except for those People that died or can't walk anymore or have a problem with the heart now when they were perfectly healthy before the shot.

And if these are allready the short term side effects I don't have good hopes for the long term side effects.

I Am not against vaccins I am Just not taking this one. Also we were promised that when People that actually can die from covid19 so

40 and obese, 80 or People that allready are dying. When they got their shot we would get our lifes back.

If the shot was actually healthy for you the governments wouldn't try anything in their power to force you to take it.

People are demanding other People to shoot stuff in their body only country's that have done this before are.

    Nazi germany
    USSR
    North-Korea

    It is Just wrong

I mean let's take a step back for a second with a calm mind. I took both vaccine shots but for others if they have a phobia about needles or the side affects, how can someone force someone to take something? I'm sure anyone who is pro-vaccine is not going to listen to everything that is out there even if it is a religious source. What if a doctor came out and said that drinking causes increase in depression then what? Would people who enjoy drinking completely stop and listen to doctors? There are many things doctors and the health field tell us not to do but people don't care. I know people who got the vaccine shots but they disregard certain health measures that are common sense to follow and abide by but they don't listen. Should I force those people to change their ways? I know someone is going to read this and give my comment a thumbs down and say that's different! "This is a deadly pandemic! Offer stuff doctors say aren't as bad!" However, it may be bad or if not worse. For example, pollution can actually have more health concerns of people dying more then Covid for our body or overworking ourselves with minimum wage jobs and no benefits or factories/plants destroying our environment, people don't seem to care about that either. Just because the media doesn't report people dying due to awful air quality like the smoking people are inhaling living in the west coast like California, Oregon and British Columbia, yes even that can affect our health, these are things people should take seriously as well. That's just my 2 cents, people can't lose their shit on me, I got both vaccine shots therefore, people online can't insult me or be rude for leaving this comment.

I have replied to a few people here. I will just say that you all need to trust doctors, scientists, etc. We are trying our best to protect you all and keep you safe. We would never recommend something that will do you harm.
Do not listen to people with no expertise. Ignore the social media, most of that information was deliberately made to make you not get the vaccine. Their goal is not not convince you that a vaccine causes "infertility" or something (which is false). The goal was to say so much crap that it would make you be skeptical enough to not get it. You can think of their motive, I think they do it for political reasons.

I'm a medical student, I have given many covid-19 vaccines, I know a lot about these. I know how it works. It is one of the safest vaccines in human history and the millions of people that have been vaccinated and are not dying proves this even more. Over 99% of all people in the hospital, dying of covid, right now, are not vaccinated. We have our hospitals at FULL capacity with unvaccinated people.
Things do not start to REALLY get bad until all hospitals are full, then there is no where for you to go if you get sick, then the death rate of those that get covid skyrockets.

Get the vaccine, it's free, it's easy, it's safe. It may safe your life and those around you.

Because they don't want to believe the information that's shoved down their throats, because it's not always accurate.

There's some deeper theories, like people thinking it's to do with population control or to experiment with people and that's fine.

The reality is, unless we're watching what's going on behind the scenes or anything like that, then we won't know 100%, but I don't think it's stupid not to believe everything the media shoves down people's throats and just because something is mainstream or widely believed, it doesn't mean it's factual, because sometimes, we don't discover things until later.

Only reason why I am is because I would be one of the people dying if I took it.

Other than that there is a lot of hysteria behind it but overall getting the shot for other people does not prevent covid it simply lowers the chance of the vaccinated person to be hospitalized.

The shot should be tested further I think before its extended to children until FDA approved.

It doesn't matter if you got the shot and everything turned out okay so far. People need to acknowledge that in the end the safest form of prevention is wearing a mask and washing your hands.

The shot is a risk and no one's life is worth that if they have a better chance dealing with COVID-19 itself.

It's depends on how strong people's beliefs are, be it political, religious or historical. A large subset is against it because it was made to be political, others depending on religious beliefs were strongly against vaccination to begin with, then there are communities due to race or economic class are wary due to past wrong doings. In the end of the day it's about science and common sense. No matter your view right or wrong, science is winning out not the people, the more we hold onto certain beliefs the worst we are for it.

Because it hasn't been tested for long and the long-term effects, if any, are still unknown. It doesn't prevent you from transmitting the virus to others even after you've been vaccinated. It only helps your own body to fight the virus. So, if you're a person with a healthy immune system that can naturally beat the virus, there is no benefit to taking the vaccine, and lots of potential risk.

A better question is why are fully vaccinated people so concerned with unvaccinated people, if the vaccine is so effective?

Nobody had provided a decent argument as to why we should get the vaccine yet. They just revert to insults. What is the benefit of taking the vaccine? Besides making trillions of dollars for big pharma? These same companies have recalled hundreds of their own vaccines through time because of dangerous side effects that develop. They're responsible for an opioid crises. They rob diabetics blind. What makes you think they're so perfect all of a sudden? Even if I take their vaccines I can still get Covid, I can still spread Covid, I still have to wear a mask. There's no benefit for healthy individuals. None.

Because it's not technically a vaccine.. It does make you less likely to get it, and if you do get it, it reduces the symptoms to that of a minor cold.

Also there is the my body my choice thing.. Being forced to vaccinate is not cool.. Take France, they are throwing people who can't prove vaccination in prison.. That is the definition of tyrannical government.

And before some dumbshit calls me an antivaxxer, I took the vaccine.. I did it by choice.. But if where I live they made it mandatory, I would not have, I would take my guns and violently oppose that kind of law.

When they decided to take the names of every one that had the vaccine and do a lottery with it without getting people's permission.. That turned me against the whole thing. I do believe that is a HIPPA violation, violating every ones right to privacy.. Then pretty much having it forced upon people.. Some places refusing to serve people with out a mask that was forced upon everyone. I don't mind the mask. I have had so many medications that have caused adverse reactions. Until they work all of that crap out and don't violate people's right to privacy. I may get it.

For 40+ years obesity, addiction, divorce, debt, have all massively increased I'm supposed to trust a for-profit corporation to create something more than the bare minimum required to get emergency approval? Further, anyone who says there's no long-term issues with spike proteins & mRNA is a liar, given this, literally, is an experimental vaccine, using technology and processes never having widespread use in any vaccine before. I'm not against it, I just don't trust mass competence given how society continues to deteriorate.

"We screwed up debt, divorce, addiction, obesity, worsening for 40+ years, but we know how to solve a pandemic, we have science - just trust our rushed solution, and if you ask questions you're an ignorant, reckless scumbag (shaming as incentive to take their desired action)

Just because we're not getting it doesn't mean we're "against" it. It's a new vaccine with little research that hasn't even been fda approved yet. People are waiting to see if it's safe. That simple. I don't see how that's hard to understand.

That is perfectly reasonable. I had some doubts about it too until I did more research. We now have significant data on short-term effects and I'm good with that, but obviously we won't have long-term data for a long time ;)

Firstly Im all for freedom of choice , so I respect the decision of those healthy individuals that dont want it. Those that are ill and dont want it? Well Id question that decision.
Bottom line is Im pro vax , had my first shot today ( this was earliest I could get as a foreigner in Thailand , been waiting 6 weeks ) , Im a traveler , I have little choice and I well understand its not about " me " its about the good of all.
I think , education , explanations to those who think its all a conspiracy , but freedom of choice must be allowed , otherwise we are all going backwards.

    I'll say this.

I had a very bad case of COVID last fall, with continued severe Long COVID symptoms.
I received the Pfizer vaccines a couple of months ago, causing illness almost as severe as the original acute COVID illness produced.
The Long COVID symptoms have since become much worse.

Whether these worsened symptoms are due to the vaccinations or would have occurred anyway from having initially having COVID is up to the researchers to determine.

Multiple DVTs in my legs and PEs in both lungs were determined to be present a few days ago, resulting in my hospitalization.

I wouldn't tell anyone to get vaccinated or not.

    Everyone is different.

You roll the dice and take your chances.

Aren’t you the guy that always posts videos? I will post one this time. I highly recommend that all open their minds just for a short time and watch this link; it is the true evidence behind this pandemic. Schedule 1.3 hrs to watch. This is it all taken from US PTO tracking, the most credible thing I have seen. “A Manufactured Illusion. Dr David Martin with Dr. Reiner Fuwllmich” 7/9/21. It is still up (7/27), so grab it. https://www.bitchute.com/video/L3zryn6Hm86m/ This explains in excruciating factual detail how big pharma and MSM coordinated it all and is continuing to the “variant.” The origin of the virus and the technique of vaccine manufacture are explained. All patent records cited are available to the public. It may require several views to capture it all. This is the most disheartening thing I have seen.

Because it’s a scam. The one person who is really pushing it, Bill Gates also ran a pandemic scenario in NYC in October 2019, Event 201. A few months after , well we all know what happened. I too work in the medical field, I refuse to get it. I trust my friends more as well as family members who work in the medical field as to what they’re seeing in their facilities, a majority of the people I know have not taken it either but we’re all still alive working the “frontlines.” It’s a joke, if you look at any industry that works w hazardous chemicals they have these high tech, expensive mask, yet we in the medical field are wearing these cheap ass cloth mask to keep us safe from one of the deadliest viruses ever. Makes no sense. I could be wrong.

It seems like most of the antivax crap online originates in the USA, particularly those who hoped Trump would be president today. They have a "louder" voice today than those a century ago with the Spanish Flu outbreak. As a result, the influence of the Karens and Kevins out there is a bigger threat than in times past.

I imagine that had the Orange Menace been returned to power his cohorts would even now be trying to find legal ways to force the vaccine onto those who were skeptical - probably the disgruntled Biden supporters who had lost.

I don't know the reference. If you're referring to the infection that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome then you'll find - if you research it properly - that HIV is a retrovirus, not a virus. That's why it hasn't been possible to develop a successful vaccine yet. Retroviruses work very differently to viruses. A few people (I happen to be one of them) have a genetic profile making it impossible to contract HIV. That immunity is also the reason I almost died from covid last year. The same genetic sequence that made me immune to HIV left me highly vulnerable to Covid-19, and without the expert knowledge of my pulmonologist I would be dead right now.

Covid is a virus. The new vaccines target some of the protein markers in the genetic sequence of the virus (RNA) rather than using dead or weakened virus cells the way traditional vaccines work.

because the realistic risk that "normal people " (not 70+ year old or with severe conditions) do not have a significant risk of suffering severe consequences from this disease.

so unlike with rabies, polio or tetanus, where the severe and pretty much guaratneed negative consequence of the disease warrants the vaccine, that isn't gviven for the covid vaccine. plust the vaccine for covid is still experimental. cause every vaccine that has not undergone a 5 year tresting phase is experimental and inherently unsafe. no matter what bullshit they're trying to convince you of in the current propaganda.

Not as many people are against it as you may think. You're likely to find that a lot of people who caution others about the vaccine have already received both shots. People in the country are less likely to have it than people in big cities since there's more available in those areas and the pros of getting the vaccine outweigh the cons as covid can spread more easily when you're around more people. Those in the country are more likely to hear about the brutal side effects of the vaccine like temporary paralysis, flu, mild pneumonia, or even the virus itself when it comes to defective vaccines, I'm looking at YOU J&J! They're likely to see those and weigh it against their odds of getting it given how few people they interact with and combined with clearer air and more sunlight, both of which the virus doesn't like, and arrive at the conclusion that the cons of the vaccine outweigh the pros given how low their odds of getting covid are.

Because every medicine that was being proposed before weren't even considered, and now the vaccines are like the only things that can protect us against the virus. I am fully vaccinated myself, but to say the other side brain dead or they can't think for themselves is insane, we have no idea about the long term effect of the vaccine and there were reports that heart inflation is seen in young people.
Surely in the past the vaccine had been thoroughly tested and it took a significant amount of time, but the amount of money that was poured into the research and development and how advance we have become in developing a vaccine, I think it's fair to say that they are well prepared but I can still be sceptical about the long term effects of it.
And then there are people who believe that the virus was the cynical plot of the establishment to take control over the world. So everything about the vaccine is false to them.

Some people don't trust the vaccines because they were made quickly. They're concerned about the side effects and the risk of death. Others don't believe that Covid exists so there's no point in having a vaccine for it. Others believe that vaccines were made to control and to kill us. And others are against vaccines in general.

I believe some people want to vilify the government because they have low self esteem and telling themselves they are superior in their views to the rest of society makes them feel important - I believe most people believe what they want to believe and few believe what is actually true. They might not know they are trying to convince themselves they are superior - cause that motive could be hidden so deep in their unconscious they are not able to detect it.

    - the companies that made them have been sue for Billions due to side effects of vaccines.

    - the vaccines skipped animal trials and went straight to human trials.

-its still in human trials stage, authorized for mass distribution.

    - The FDA changed the definition of "vaccine" so these would be able to be called a "vaccine".

    - natural imunity is far better, but it is not being talked about. At all.

    - and if this was an actual pandemic, it won't need a huge marketing campaign. Or lotteries in some states.

    Look what's happening.

Read between the lies, sorry I mean, lines.

Never before has their been so much coercion, where debate is so brutally suppressed, over an (experimental) medical treatment. There's clearly an agenda, and more and more people are waking up to it.

Do you even have to ask this question, since it became so obvious, even from the start.

    1) Doctors and researchers lie
    2) Side effects
    3) No way they could have tested it enough to know long term side effects could be.
    4) Can't trust Gov't

Pressure and speed is a bad combination with anything. Lots of mistakes are made when this happens.

This vaccination was not really tested , hurried up, and rushed to be 100% trusted. Remember it usually takes 10 to 15 years produce a tested vaccination.

I won't be taking it. Now if I was 80 years old I might figuring I have 5 years left at best to live anyway.

They are pushing that vaccination that helps prevent cancer from having sex too. I have no clue whether that one is safe either.

This is all to prep us for the chip , to track us 24/7.

You people are giving up your rights and individualism.

Gee, I wonder why that is? LOL So I guess the virus won't spread if it's your turn to talk, or you're eating at restaurants.

@joeldalton It matters little what the figures are. The number of covid deaths world wide is in the millions. There were thousands BEFORE the vaccine was available.

Let's face a true fact. No one gives a toss if an anti vaxer gets covid. Just keep it to themselves and don't infect me again. It is fucking diabolical!

Covid-nineteen is a virus that causes pneumonia! you're government has lied to you! Are you happy? ↗

Developed too quickly, the medical establishment having completely destroyed their credibility, the political class treating COVID like polio or the Spanish flu, the overly heavy handed approach to those that are skeptical, the censorship... Kamala Harris during the 2020 campaign said she would not take a new vaccine if Trump said to.

She is guilty of spreading anti vaxxer rhetoric because she hates Trump.

So I don't want to hear anyone saying only Trump supporters are anti vaxxers

I'm amazed at the number of people who believe it's a big government conspiracy. *shrug* who knows? maybe the dems actually do control all the governments in the World and now we're all screwed.

Many will say its because they were told as kids to not take experimental drugs and the vaccine is just that. Too fast, too untested... if so I expect those people to actually take the vaccine after a couple more years.

Plus there is those who oppose (one of the brands) cause it came from aborted fetal tissue... not sure about the others.

To put it simply, it was made into a political issue instead of the public health issue that it really is. Once it was politicized, certain people on one side have dug in their heels and have ceased to think for themselves. That being said, if someone wants to believe disinformation and risk getting sick, then let them. It’s a (mostly) free country.

I dunno about the collective but I know personally o never trust new or rushed vaccines i like to be 100% informed of all possible side effects and see how well it actually works before consenting to anything being placed in my body. I think vaccines are great but I dont think something so important should be rushed and let's face it multiple countries were rushing to find a vaccine.

I'm against it because I believe there are a lot of ulterior motives behind this pandemic.

this pandemic has only been around for a year and a half, the survival rate is 99.99% (I'm an example) and already they have a vaccine for it that was RUSHED up vaccine that doesn't sound like it cures or does any benefits while supposedly the disease itself keeps evolving under our noses.

something here does not sound right

I’m fully vaccinated because I’m asthmatic and have been told by my very close doctor that has been treating me since I was little, that I could most definitely die if i catch covid. So I didn’t want to take any chances. The people who are against it have their own opinions. I don’t really care what Angelina in Manhattan New York thinks about the vaccine, because me and my whole family are fully vaccinated, and just want to be safe.

Vaccine can’t keep you 100% safe, no vaccine of any virus can,
It only works for 3-5 months. But still you can easily transfer virus to others.

Lack of education, mostly. People don't trust what they don't understand. Unfortunately, people are also inclined to actively avoid education and even if they do attempt to educate their self, they are bombarded with misinformation from other uneducated individuals, which can make it difficult to tell the difference between fact and fiction when you don't have a basic understanding of the subject.

I always speak what I think. I want to know as soon as possible which people is liked minded for a particular topic.

I never get responsible for adjusting other people's points of view. Either they already have it or they don't. Ultimately it's their responsibility to have good criteria.

Choose deal or no deal, the reasons you have for your option are secondary to me. The only thing I care is if you are interested in the same as I do.

Here I won't express my point of view just because it will always sound as a disagreement.

    They aren't.
