Of the 5 people who meet such cases, they'll be exempted. The rest who just won't deal with consequences that follow having football teams run a creampie train on you and refusing the free birth control pills we offer, they have no right to murder.

You do realize over 80% of rape cases go unreported right? And birth control isn’t free. On top of that, should they refuse medical treatment for people who smoke and get lung cancer? I mean, they have to deal with the consequences of their actions too, right? What about car accidents? You knew the risk of driving the car so you should deal with the consequences, right? No medical treatment. Weird how it’s only abortion that’s the only one that has to “deal with consequences “. And you do realize that not everyone sleeps with a bunch of people, right?

They have to deal with consequences because they still don't have a right to kill another human for their convenience. I don't. Only something like 1% or less of the cases put forward for abortion are due to incest or rape.

Ban abortion. Require the rapist to pay a fine equal to what a surrogate mother would be paid to carry a child... plus the rapist goes to prison for rape.
Abortion typically protects the aborted. That's because the majority majority of the time it occurs during a stage of pregnancy before the aborted can experience pain. If an organism can't experience pain and doesn't understand death, it cannot be harmed by death. That organism can, however, be helped by death... in the sense that if I'm, say, a 16 year old who gets pregnant and I get an abortion and have another child later, that's essentially teleporting the first fetus into the future, when the parent is more ready to care for it.
In that way, banning all abortion punishes the child, the parents, and society in general for no reason. A more ethical form of tyranny... one that would actually help people... would be to set up a state-run eugenics program that would mandate abortions of any fetus with a genetic disorder or birth defect. That would be terribly tyrannical... but it could be argued to protect children, unlike your system.

All abortion should be illegal. Now the rapist should be tortured medieval style and executed but just because one wrong occurred doesn’t mean you get to commit another wrong by murdering your child
I believe ultimately the woman could decide to have the baby or not. But as a person who was almost aborted, I believe the child deserves a chance at life.
I like this answer. I think a lot of us wouldn’t personally choose it but shouldn’t tell other people what to do with their body because they will ultimately be the ones who have to raise the baby if they keep it.
Agreed, ultimately all choices have a reward or consequence, whether it happens immediately or over time. I guess in general, the best solution is to avoid more regret than adding to it.
Yeah that's too extreme. They should get the special exception. I would still say give up for adoption even in this extreme circumstance but knowing how bad our foster care system is I think they should have the abortion option.
Hopefully it'll be overturned in court. Women should have the right to terminate pregnancy and it shouldn't be societies responsibility to raise defective children due to inbreeding or damage from disease or drug abuse.

I think that's perfectly fine. Those people will generally get them quickly. The cost of pregnancy would be much greater. I think they should be encouraged... given that we still live in a world in which people sometimes get pregnant just to give the baby up for adoption.

And can you think of why that would matter? Because I can't. If I don't know that some other version of me could have existed but never did... the other person who was born still calls themselves "me." That person is, therefore, me... just me without some trivial genetic differences that I have no reason to care about because I never knew I could have been anything different.
What makes death harmful is any suffering that results from that death. If the organism can't experience pain from the death hand doesn't understand death, it cannot be harmed by the death. That's the important thing to remember.

I read for context, not for perfect grammar so I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't point it out. I suspect date rape drugs are not a frequent problem. Regardless, the Texas law allows 6 weeks for an abortion which is long enough to miss 2 periods since it is 14 days from ovulation to the first period. Therefore, that is long enough in almost all cases. Again, no law is perfect enough to account for all possible circumstances. Therefore, it is a tradeoff. Occasionally, someone is unlucky and that is unfortunate, but that's life. Even so, for the rare unlucky girl, she has the option of going to another state.
And anyone she asks for help can be sued.

If you do some fact checking you will find most rape and incest victims choose to keep the baby. Most of them understand its not the child's fault. At least this was the case a few years ago.

I personally know someone who was raped by a group of men and still had the baby. I believe killing an innocent life is a no no, its murder period.
I am not into forcing people to do something they dont want to do however I am not going to support it in any way.
