What do you think of women's universities in Japan?

Men and women also tend to learn and retain information differently, too. There's actually a lot of merits behind the concept of segregating higher education by gender. I wouldn't want that to be the official standard, but it's a good option to have for people who are serious about learning.
The US would not ever accept that practice as mainstream, however. We are too busy bending over to people's personal feelings, and stroking romantic notions about meeting future spouses in college while brainwashing everyone into submission at the expense of practical education to actually do something with long term benefits.

Unacceptable.
I get the point.. Personally, I could not have attended an all girl school. No way.
It seems like an all-women university would be a lot more boring.

I really haven't thought about women's universities in Japan recently.
Not all universities should be segregated. It would be fucked up if there were universities for men only. But I have no problem with the existence of some women's only universities. The reasoning makes sense.
It makes no sense since I'd imagine women are the majority of university students in general. Also I think the only reason sexual crimes went down is probably because women don't count as perpetrators much like the UK and the vast majority of cases in the US.
I think that's wonderful, anything that helps women from any kind of abuse is a positive thing.
Yeah all-female schools, or all-female anything, tend not to have a lot of rapes.
It's not just in Japan
Whatever...
