Why are so many men threatened by independent women? (Page 2)

Question

In this day and age women no longer  need  men, which I think is great! Women are not financially on dependent on men any more which frees them to be able to make their own choices about careers, livelihoods and relationships. Do the men that are unhappy by this just want that level of control and for women to be defendant on them instead of being able actually chose?
