basically, people need to start learning about how things are, not how they want them to be.

I think, in many cases, so called gender IS "how they want them to be". NOT "how things are".

Gender is internal to that person. It cannot be seen, or known of, by others. It is not really relevant to outsiders.

Most people are not concerned with the technicalities of the variations of sex, either. Those should stay in the realm of medics and scientists.

No. I'm not an idiot. Anyone with a well-informed view past their own cultural/religious norms doesn't have this issue. It's not an issue in academic circles amongst scientists that study this because it's plainly obvious it isn't binary.

So you're saying you believe everything you read or rather anything that conforms to your own ignorance? You don't actually know you just don't question what's put before you. That's the same kind of thinking that gave religious organizations incredible amounts of power.

I got news for you, sunshine: there are only two genders, male and female. We as a species have known this for thousands upon thousands of years and now all of a sudden scientists claim that this is no longer the case just as "woke" culture begins rearing its ugly head? I don't think so.

If you think science in incorruptible, that those who claim to be experts on the matters can't be bribed into lying then you my friend are just an easily manipulated fool.

Hey "sunshine" male and female are sexes, not genders. Also if you believe everything that is put before you, you would believe in a binary system like you do... You realize we discover shit all the time right? You also realize the binary systems only been in place since the 1900s? I guess not since you think it's been thousands of years 🙄

@SlightlyEccentric No, I don't believe everything I read. I believe credible information vetted by experts in the field. Experts that I'm sure you've never listened to a day in your life because your dumb brain with your limited worldview is somehow better than the collective knowledge of humanity's best and brightest.

Male and female are sexes, not genders, and they're not even the only two sexes. There are other variants of sex in humans and in many other species. Scientists have known this for a long fucking time, you just asserted they don't because your head is so far up your ass that you can no longer distinguish bullshit from everything else.

And of course experts can be bribed. Nobody ever ascribes listening to one specific fucking person as absolute authority on everything. So unless you're going to sit here and say literally every scientist that has ever studied this is on some woke payroll, shut the fuck up.

Just admit you're a fucking idiot with no clue about what you're talking about and read a fucking book before you talk next time.

      Born with penis? Male.

      Born with pussy? Female.

So when I say we've known it for thousands of years, I didn't stutter. We have known it for thousands of years. Gender and sex are the same thing. Having your thoughts altered my morons who try to tell you you might not be what you were born as does not change that you are still the one you were born as. Simple as that. No amount of surgeries, makeup and horomone medication is ever going to change that.

Its like burying something. No matter how much dirt you add on top, that thing you buried is still there.

Yeah, your anatomy, chromosomes, hormones and whatever determine your sex (either male or female) - even on the rare circumstance where a kid is born without either reproductive organs are later on classed as one of the two sexes. I feel like it works the same way for gender, you’re either male or female (so a transgirl I feel would be considered female in gender but not biologically female in sex). Everything is still bianary tho in my opinion.

But sexual orientation is a whole different world, you can simplify it as being “binary” by saying you’re either straight or not tho

No, although humans are not ever true hermaphrodites, some people are intersex, where they have both male and female chromosomes and may have both male and female sex characteristics. Regardless of your opinion on nonbinary or genderfluid people, it is a scientific fact that sex and gender are not a strict binary.

    Human gender types:

    Normal development:
    01. Male A
    02. Female A

    Abnormal development:
    03. Hermaphrodite variants (may appear feminine, masculine, or androgynous, but always has male and female sex organs)
    04. Intersex Neuter A (male embryo thats testosterone resistent and develops as female in appearance/is genderless)
    05. Intersex Neuter B (female embryo thats resistant to estrogen and develops as male in appearance/is genderless)
    06. Neuter C (genderless and androgynous in appearance)

    Surgical intervention:
    07. Trans/Neuter D (male with sex organs removed/genderless)
    08. Trans/Neuter E (female with sex organs removed/genderless)
    09. FH Male/Male B (former hermaphrodite with female organs removed)
    10. FH Female/Female B (former hermaphrodite with male organs removed)
    11. Trans/Neuter F (hermaphrodite with both sets of sex organs removed/genderless)

So 2 genders (male and female), with approx. 3 ways of posessing each, and multiple genderless variants, but being genderless is the absence of gender, so it doesn't count as a third, fourth, etc., and mentalities/personalities/habits vary greatly with any setup, with no detectable corelation/causation between personality types and gender.

I believe this is about changing the definition of the word gender, and assigning it to something other than your birth reproductive organs. In essence, I believe it's a fruitless discussion because it focuses on terminology, and NOT what the crux of the matter is about, which is "why can't a person choose to designate their sexual preferences and orientation?" Ok, I'm fine with a person choosing that, but I'm not fine with re-assigning the term "gender" to include all the variations out there. I'd be happy if gender remained either or, and how you choose to "align yourself" were called something totally different, like S. O., for "sexual orientation", or even MBO, for "mind to body orientation".

I realize some people say to just use "sex" to be either male or female (binary), and use however many variations there come to be as "gender". It's a word game at this point, and there's no science behind choosing which term is better for which thing.

    Yup!

"And God made them male and female..."
The way I read that, is there are ONLY two genders/sexes. There are no other choices.

In the EXTREMELY rare instances where a baby didn't grow one or the other sexual organs, those individuals are extremely rare.

To set up society to accommodate people who "say" they're male when they're born as female (or vice versa) is stupid. To say these type of individuals are normal is also stupid. They need counseling. They need help. They do not need encouragement to continue that type of thinking and behavior.

The rest of us don't need to accept their warped ideas of 47 different genders, using the opposite sex bathroom, cross dressing, etc...

Every you don't believe in God, nature should prove to you that sex is binary - male and female. Animals of all types require an opposite mate to procreate. Even with plants, you need a binary combination to continue that species.

There are no halfway, partly male, sorta female, combination type animals or plants. Binary sex was God's design (intelligent design?) that's built into life on Earth 🌎. And then He gave His creation the command to be fruitful and multiply on the Earth. Sometimes, I think weeds and mosquitoes 🦟 take that command a bit too seriously! Sex is divided between male and female only.

I'm sorry if the current stupidity over sex and gender has you thinking different versions of male and female, but truthfully, there ARE ONLY 2 sexes. Don't believe into the stupidity of the "open minded" liberal/progressive ideas. For centuries and even millenia, there have ALWAYS and ONLY been 2 sexes.

I don't know where everyone gets the idea that if sex is not binary then everyone is not male or female. No there's a scale. You have male one side, female the other and in the middle you have intersex and either side of that you have the various sex chromosomes variations.

Also non binary is seen in animals. Spotted hyenas both male and female have testes and penises, some birds can reproduce asexually, clownfish are born hermaphrodites, male seahorses get pregnant and give birth, there's so many other examples of non binary in the animal kingdom.

As long you’re not confusing children and having them mutilate their genitals.

I used to be a huge tomboy as a kid. Then I turn hyper feminine (everything pink!) now I’m a tomboy somedays and a girly girl some others.

The whole time, no one came to me with this talk about what I act like needing to dictate what’s going on in between my legs. So we not gonna be quiet if you try to talk that way. Expect some push pack mate.

Those are 2 separate things which often get grouped into one.

Gender is an amalgamation of sexual preference, appearance, mannerisms, and societal role. Gender can be changed on a whim, on environmental factors, chronic or intermittent substance use, and even by dietary changes. If that seems ludicrous you might have placed too much stock in the value of gender. Personally, I find gender worthless as an identifier, as it's so inconsistent.

Sex is immalleable. There are 2 major sexes, and everything else is an extreme sub-set of people typically resulting of a condition or birth defect. I believe most people align their most meaningful identifiers of people with sex. You just can't populate a planet with a pilgrimage of 50 Trans-women and 50 Traditional Men.

Probably. But I also don't see why it matters. If people want to be referred to as certain pronouns, it doesn't bother me. Just let people live their lives with the equal protection of the law.

The thing that does bother me with the trans thing is that it's just way too similar to a religion. My attention is limited and I need time to just be my true self. When I'm expected to pay attention to someone else, I have to put on a pretense of, among other things, giving a damn about them. I don't want anyone to get hurt or die, but my concern for their self-worth is perfunctory. I'm not going to donate my attention to helping someone else work through their insecurities. So unless someone wants to pay me for my time or something, I'll vote for any trans right, I'll vote to fund trans causes, I'll sign petitions to get "other" available as an option for gender on job applications, but I'm not going to pretend like I believe any of it is real.

Realistically nothing is binary. You say what about 0 and 1 i say 0.5 exists.

To just say everything is just as simple as 1 and 2 exist nothing else don't make much sense on any level of science. There is always a middle that exists and everything between and there is also the opposite to 1 and 2 aswell.

    By birth, yes.
Circumcision is when they change it to little babies - either because multiple men were involved or because the mother doesn't want that child. It may happen that it grows up completely unaware
Non binary is when they add a penile implant to a girl and she has a vagina still. Some people think that is how completeness/hollyness (wholyness) is achieved.
Terrifying but true - and refugees arriv8ng to Europe are mostly two-gendered (girls with a penile implant/belt - they also think that is what the bible belt is.
Bible belt is in fact a chastity belt, metal that covers vagina and is locked by key, to prevent intercourse so a girl cannot have sex with any other man except her knight (in shining armour; it's a middle ages custom - people mixed all of that up)

Yes and it should not be confused with preference and fantasies. Sex and gender is the same thing in my book. And it has nothing to do with dresses, makeup and selecting your role in society. It's what you where born with between your legs. Ie what your biological function is.

The two cannot be separate. Males have penises and produce testosterone. Women have vaginas and produce estrogen. These components define the genders, their bodies, and how they desire each other. Opposites were created to want one another so that they can come together and produce more.

Dude the fact that your biological knowledge barely passes high school with a C- is showing. Both males and females produce both estrogen and testosterone. You can have both a penis and vagina entirely naturally. Those components don't define gender at all, only sex. Gender is a social phenomenon that deals with cultural expressions of traits associated with the common sexes. Sexual attraction is also far more complex than what you've suggested. And then you pop in with the creationist nonsense so I don't even know why I'm bothering with this.

@PrinceWalnut Both sexes do have both hormones, but testosterone is dominant in men and estrogen dominant I women. 'Intersex' individuals are not even 25% of the population.

There is a reason why we have males and females, penises and vaginas. If any other sexuality, orientation, etc. was meant to be an actual thing, there would be no mystery about it or something society needs to try to "understand."

There are two sexes and Gender is just another word for the sexes. Other than that people may identify with that which they want to be instead of what they are.
If you look at the theory of evolution as it pertains to this question. There are often offshoots of the norm that strive to become stronger and survive. But many of the offshoots can not make it and are lost because only the strong survive. The real question is if you put two of these offshoots together will they procreate and produce one of their own or one of the norm? If it can not produce one of its own then I do not think it has what it takes to be a part of the norm...
by the way, I do not believe in evolution, God created man and woman and sin distorted what was good...

Biological sex is binary, and there are 2 gender roles based around the biological strengths of these sexes combined with what worked for centuries.
Then, you can have any combination of traits from these gender roles and to some extent biological sexes that you can either label or not.
I personally think its better not to label those and just be yourself without worrying what gender that belongs to, while at the same time deciding how much you want to conform to a society's standard.

Thats a birth defect that blurs the lines a bit, similar to that we can agree that humans have 2 arms and then you have a category of people that either lost an arm or have a birth defect. Its why i said 'to some extent biological sexes' in the combination of traits part because i did allow this kind of rarity in my argument acknowledging this is possible. Doesn't change the rest of my argument though that you can choose to label them, or you can choose to just have them pick either one and treat them like the rest of us. I personally think the latter is a better option.

I doubt extremely that its accurate to the degree it has any observable impact. According to an article i found they claim it is the same percentage as people with red hair. I have been around people with red hair before, i have seen multiple people with red hair so red hair is definitely something i have been able to observe. Indeed a small group, but an observable group.

If the intersex group is equally large i would have encountered it by now, which i never have. So i am not going to assume the 2% statistic that people who advocate to label all the different variations is an accurate assessment.

So i pulled up an article that seems to be arguing from your side, specifically this one : answerstoall.com/.../

It cites that the estimate is between 0,05% and 1,7% and coined that red hair claim. Then it suggested that true hermaphrodites are only 5% of that group so its even rarer. In the other cases they list things like : Small penis, Enlarged Clitoris, Partial Labial Fusion, ovaries in boys, testes in girls. Etc.

But even here in the article they do not back up your claim that this somehow means that sex is not binary. There are 2 sexes, male and female. And there are degradation in masculinity and femininity, typically in someones personality and also in the body (Even if you exclude birth defects, i am for example a very slender guy so i do not have the masculine trait of having a lot of muscle mass but that does not mean i am a girl. I still have a penis). If someone had ovaries because of a birth defect but lacked breasts and has a penis than he'd still be a guy. But a guy who happens to have ovaries because of a birth defect.

Like i said, you can choose to label and segregate people based on these traits. But in the end i only see that do harm, and i have never seen that do good. So instead i chose to respect who they are by including them in the regular definitions. I do Not exclude anyone. So if you are a guy with ovaries, or a girl with testicles. To me your still a guy or a girl. Because to me that is how i respect you, by not excluding you from the rest or putting you into a separate box.

Choosing to ignore a percentage of the population is very harmful. Denying their very existence is harmful. Imagine growing up knowing you're intersex, not masculine enough to be a man, not feminine enough to be a woman just somewhere in between. Kinda sick to just brush off their feelings yeah?

No, i'd be happy if someone acknowledged me as a man. Being put into a "Your not a real man" box would be the harmful part that would make me feel less of a person. I am doing this for them, not because i am ignoring them. You don't need to label and segregate someone to acknowledge these things happen. You can acknowledge them as the gender they are and treat them the same as everyone else so that they to can feel included.

Technically no. Sex is a spectrum but from a prqctical standpoint it is binary, at least in the human race (and a vast majority of other animals), and at least as of now.

As for gender, it's a social construct which means the limitations are more or less non-existent (just like gender is, on a way, lol), so no, it isn't binary. That doesn't necessarily mean I subscribe to the legitimacy of gender, but it still is what it is.

Gender is only binary in the sense that there's two ends of a spectrum, on one end everything stereotypically associated masculinity and on the other end everything stereotypically associated with femininity. And of course A LOT in between. Most people will find themselves rather close to one end or the other of the spectrum, while others somewhere in between.

The same, albeit to a different extent and in different ways, is true about biological sex.

Look, any psychologist will tell you that it is YOU who needs to sort herself/himself out. Relying on others to validate your own being is the worst thing that you can do to yourself.

That being said, we are always one or the other. We are always binary. Preferences and BS don't matter. Most people make this their personality. This only signals that you do not have much going on in your life, neither that you are trying to. Again, there are good people who mind their own business and then there are morons who get in your face (and worse attack you) to make themselves feel "safe".

It's not a belief it's a fact. Gender is a social construct. Gender identity, sexual preferences, sexual expression is different for every single human being. Brain scans have determined that a penis or a vagina does not define our gender. A true study of chromosomal pairings reveal we are far more than the xx xy we were taught when we were 15. No.
The anatomical difference between men & women consists of genitalia, different brain size & grey matter composition, bone structure.
Men have stronger skeletal muscles and a higher red blood cell count, a larger tracheae & bronchi, more oily skin, more body hair, men have redder skin.
Women have a thicker layer of fat underneath their skin, blond or red hair significantly more often than do men, green eyes significantly more often than do men.
Female fertility ends with menopause at around age 50. Men can be fertile up their 80s-90s.
Women have larger hippocampuses (used for memory).

Brain performance also shows a difference:
Women perform better than males on tasks of attention, face & word memory, and social cognition tests. Men perform better on spatial processing and sensorimotor (sensory + motor systems) skill tasks.

As we know, men have much more testosterone than do women. Women have much more estrogen than do men.
Women have higher verbal fluency in language.
Women have a higher body fat percentage. Men have a greater muscle tissue mass.
Women have lower blood pressure than men & a faster heart-rate.
Women have a longer lifespan than do men in every country on earth.
Women are more prone to depression.
Men have better long-distance vision. Women have better colour perception.
      Women have better high-frequency hearing.
Men have deep voices. Women have high voices.
Women's ligaments are softer & thinner (which is why women are more flexible).
Men experience baldness significantly more frequently than do women.
Men are more likely to be born autistic.

So, no, it is not just a difference in genitalia. Nor is this an exhaustive list. There are more differences than what I have listed: physical, psychological, behavioral, so on.

Parts of women's brains are larger than men's; parts of men's brans are larger than women's.
In speech, women use their left & right brain hemispheres while men use mostly their left. — The right hemisphere controls emotions.
Men's brains have better connectivity front-back within a hemisphere, while women's have better connectivity between the left & right hemispheres.

I don't want to go on because the point is already made. Men & women have numerous differences which have no relation to genitalia.

@Naydyonov so what about people who don't fall into the typical male / female category?

Saying sex is binary would mean that every single man is taller, has broader shoulders, has a deeper voice, has more body hair than every woman. Which we know is not the case, there are men who are shorter than women, there are women who grow more body hair than men, there's men who can't grow facial hair, and women who can, there's men with higher pitched voices and women with lower deep voices. Some of these things can just happen and some happen because of sex chromosome variations. Sex is as you said based on Various different things, a lot goes into it so it's kinda silly to assume that every single one of those things aligns perfectly with every single person

Though I believe in a dual binary state (binary sex and binary gender), I will admit a much stronger argument can be made in support of having more than 2 genders. However, I cannot see the argument for sex at all. Gender is indeed more complicated and depends more on subjective interpretation. That being said, to a large degree, it too has this masculine-feminine duality, in which a person can hold traits from both sides, but there is not a third side — no third category.

The non-dual categories used nowadays basically describe different combinations of masculinity & femininity. I'd argue this is just be the creation of categories based on gender differences caused by individual personality differences. However, as each person has a unique personality, this would make for an infinite number of categories.
Because a category logically exists to be a broad container of subcategories which groups together these subcategories based on some kind of commonality, it makes sense to limit the number of categories used in describing humans — their gender, in this case. As the gender spectrum goes only two directions (masculine ↔ feminine), these are the two overarching categories which contain subcategories.
We do this with politics: the right, the left. We do also have "the center". However, as a category, "the center" is the least consistent one, as it contains people who have a random mix of left & right. So by this analogy, an argument for a 3rd gender can be made ("the center"), but it would suffer from an inherit lack of commonality other than a single unifying factor: the randomness of the people it contains.

Thus, from a broad view, 2 genders exist. Zooming in, we can potentially find some subcategories of female and male which share some commonalities. These would be sub-genders of male & female.
Needed for this, however, would be large enough difference between these sub-genders. The same way Conservatism is not Libertarianism, nor is Liberalism - Socialism, so too would there need to be a significant enough difference between two groups of males two be able to sub-characterize both.

I hope I've explained my perspective & logic well. If so, you should see my stance is not built on prejudice, but rather an attempt to find consistency and a functional way of defining humans — the most complex creatures in existence.

      Fun fact:
Gender, as a word/concept, for all history until the last few decades was used only for grammatical differentiation. It had no other meaning.

Men and women have different levels of estrogen and testosterone. So it's a scale no two people of the same presumed sex are the same, they're not binary.

Yes. Because it is. The left loves changing the definitions of words to fit whatever depraved concept they are pushing, like gender, which they now claim is on a spectrum and is the degree of masculinity or femininity a person expresses. The rest of us who aren’t moral degenerates would call that personality. They had to go there with it because once they started claiming men could get pregnant and menstruate no one was buying it, so they changed the definition of gender again.

This doesn't help those that choose to not identify as cisgendered individuals, instead it further cheats them of the opportunity to make their case and be heard. Why would anyone listen, if they're known to be insincere.

I definitely don't feel swayed in my opinion. I may respect ChrisMaster69, but I do not recognize him as an authority, or you for that matter, on gender studies to be motivated enough to read a bunch of opinion articles suggested by either as fact. I really really don't think anyone else will.

@mashingdoozy Biologists say humans have two genders. Male & female. Regardless of birth defects/abnormalities since "female and male reproductive functions have not been observed together in the same individual". No such thing as a person who is both. And no such thing as a person who is a third thing. No unicorns out there, sorry.

@Smashingdoozy Wrong. No such thing as hermaphrodites anymore. Scientists realized that was a cosplay fantasy idea when they thought about: "female and male reproductive functions have not been observed together in the same individual." That word Hermaphrodite is not even used by scientists (talking about humans) anymore. Next.

Humans are born male or female, but they can call themselves whatever they want. That's why the term "gender" have been hijacked and turned into the joke it is today. When the list of "genders" exceeds 100, it no longer has any meaning at all. It's just a sad joke.

Intersex can be described as many things. Often is more about external genitalia rather than chromosomes. They can infact have xx or xy chromosomes but have both genitalia. There's also people who look one sex on the outside but their chromosomes say the opposite or they say something completely different like one of the other 16 variations X, XXX, XYY, XXY, XXYY, YYXX etcetc

As I said there's varying degrees of what could be considered intersex. Either way 3 makes it not binary.
The binary system is reliant on the old belief that we are either XX or XY. It doesn't consider the other variations.

Okay, trinary then, with one "nary" being extremely small. Still not seeing the scale.

In any case, I do not see the justification for a loooong list of genders. There is male, female, and a small handful of exceptions.

I am fine with people coming up with whatever "sexuality" category they want to use to describe themselves, but not with hijacking the term gender and rendering it utterly meaningless.

Sex is strictly biological and binary. Gender is a broader term that considers cultural concepts of characteristics that define male or female. People mistakenly use the terms interchangeably. Since we know that non-binary people exist who don’t fit the accepted mold of what is considered male or female in their behaviors, actions, and thinking…. I would say gender is not binary.

Sex is functionally binary with 99%+ of people being clearly either male or female genetically. Gender you could more reasonably put on a spectrum from super-manly man, to average joe, to femme-dude, to butch chick, to average jane, to super girly girl.

    That's my take anyway.

Yes. Lions, hyenas, a type of monkey.
Would like to add that something being not binary does not mean that they are hermaphrodites. Doesn't mean they can change their sex. Just means that their sex doesn't correspond to the general rule. Female hyenas having testes and penises for example.

And how do mating rituals exist in mammalian species? It usually comes down to pheromones, colors, male fighting for dominance, etc. But one is certain is that this has remained uniform for several millennia.

Why is that all of the sudden the human species is making these radical changes in only the last decade?

Again I believe hermaphroditism and gender dysphoria exists. But these are extremely rare and exclusive circumstances. But now we are going to pretend a 4 year old boy who says “he feels like a girl” despite being born with a penis should be labeled and identified as a girl? Are we going to start giving puberty blockers to young children until they “decide” their gender? What’s your end goal here?

And a chromosome is foundational blue print of life.

I do believe there obviously much variations going on. Some men have higher estrogen levels. Some have higher testosterone levels. There can be variation in sexual preferences. Environment can impact factors to a certain extent (but gender sure as hell isn’t “socially constructed). There can also be variations of brain chemistry and structure.

But in uniform women are much more similar biologically to other women (and men vice versa) when it comes to 99.99999% of people. However when it comes to truly gender dysphoric people that is a tiny fraction of the population.

There are some activists out there who say “‘men can have periods” now which is absolutely bat shit (or worse men can get pregnant). Sexual organs such as ovaries, testicles, etc. play a SCIENTIFIC role in reproduction. Depending on what you were born with out decide your gender.

But now we have this warped approach saying that gender malleable. It’s not for the vast majority of people.

It is binary. Goes to root “gen” or genos birth, race, kind. Now in order to generate of spring you must have a complete reproduction of both male and female genitalia.

100 years ago there were no plastics and minimal chemicals in food. Today, I have no idea what all the chemicals we are exposed to, do to mimic hormones. I am open to the unknown influences on the body causing gender identity issues.

@ElizaPam I understand that you were born the way you are, my point is that you and mother have been exposed to chemicals that did not exist 100 years ago and that exposure is not inconsequential. There was also no microwave exposure 100 years ago.

There are two sexes- male and female.
"Gender" is construct of the mind, and useless as far as biology goes.

@Smashingdoozy Yeah the Statistically irrelevant ones, like having an extra X or Y Chromosome. XX and XY are the overwhelming majority of Humans on this planet. You can't just throw on a wig and magic away a Y chromosome.

Never said that was the case. Sure they are a small % of the overall location but statistically speaking most schools would have at least 1 person who doesn't fit into either one of those categories.

It's two Mutually exclusive statements, True and false are Binary. What you're talking about is investing resources into statistical anomalies. You have to do some really invasive shit to check if someone is intersex. You have to throw down thousands of dollars in PCR tests and Medical exams to get the "I'm Special Card". In all practical terms its irrelevant to society as a whole.

It doesn't matter what you have to do to verify it. Intersex exists which makes sex not binary. But also that's not even true you can easily detect the sex (chromosomes) of a baby when the mother is pregnant with them. It's pretty common practice nowadays.

And so what? There going to be 99.9993% percent of the time going to be XX or XY. It's fucking pointless way to fish for "Special points" to take the edge off the other bad shit that typically comes with Chromosomal disorders. It's irrelevant to the rest of the species at large. Some weirdo Enby is still going to have two X Chromosomes no matter their previous psychological trauma.

Having other possibilities doesn't mean everyone can just choose to change between the different categories. Saying sex and gender is not binary is just acknowledging that there are people that don't fit into those typical 2 categories.

Goes back to my original answer. It's not a perfect loop, but it's honest work.

Meaning state of your body (sex). Male, female, intersex. (Doesn't matter if you take hormones, just visual and some minor bodily function changes)

Meaning state of your mind (gender). Whatever labels the society comes up with.

      They are separate.

    No.

Besides xx and xy chromosomes, you can have about four more types - which invariably cause harrowing diseases.

As for the apache attack helicopter sexuals, I have no comments.
