Why won't the government support my idea to end the covid crisis?

Question

As you all know I'm a genius and as a genius I have come up with a foolproof plan to end covid in just a few weeks. Covid is spread in droplets when people breath so obviously the solution is to stop people breathing. Now I get that can be slightly problematic so I thought what if we all wore breathing apparatus similar to scuba divers? If we only breathe in clean sterile air then covid will be unable to take hold and this will lead to it's extinction.

So would you give up breathing regular covid contaminated air for a few weeks to end the crisis?

I get that this is a joke post, but there is no containment strategy that will work due to the virus reservoir in wild animals. This is partially how we get endemic diseases, which, make no mistake, Covid has been endemic for a long time now.

great idea... apart from you would also need an exposure suit too as can be transited through touch and people touching their own openings e. g. eyes etc.
