Should more black women give up their kids for adoption in an effort to get more black kids raised by fathers?

Okay 70 percent of all black kids don’t know their fathers. This is because of welfare and public housing laws that would give out more money if the kid was being raised alone and not with a father. I feel as if that we need to take a more aggressive approach in curbing lack of fathers in the black community and I believe that more black women should give up their kids to adoption in an effort to have them grow up in homes with a father.

Do you imagine that there are a lot of black parents eager to adopt? The problem is mass incarceration of black men for drug offenses, coupled with employment discrimination and multi-generational poverty.

I think all kids can benefit from having both parents in their life. It isn't just a racial problem. And just where did you get that statistic?

That's largely because their moms keep stealing their children from them.

Or because the dads are locked up.

How about providing enough free contraceptives and sexual education to the black community to reduce the numbers of welfare babies out of wedlock altogether?

That's ridiculous- those mothers should not be encouraged to give up their parental rights for that reason. In addition, many of them get assistance from family and friends.
