than it does with culture.

Simply put, there isn't as much of an interest in the White community towards "going pro in the NBA"
in the Black community, its extremely defining of their culture.

Take into consideration the Black community also has the highest obesity rates in the USA. The majority of them not capable of being athletes (yet they turn out a disproportionate amount of NFL/NBA players due to the culture).

I think you're missing something obvious: height is not the only requirement for being good at basketball. Also, most black American subcultures are more fond of the game, and playing it enough to reach high levels of skill and proficiency is more common among them.
