Can somebody explain to me why liberals are still obsessing over Trump? He has been out of office for over a year and has no major platform?

Did you see conservatives still obsessing over Obama in 2017? My theory is that liberals secretly miss Trump more than anyone. They don’t have a scapegoat to blame all their problems on anymore. I don’t know what kind of so called “trumpism” influence he can possibly have. He’s been banned from all social media.

I never was a huge Trump fan. I never liked his personality and often insufferable rhetoric. But the man understood enterprise and economy. Also his get tough foreign policy was something America absolutely needed. That’s why I voted for him twice and never regretted it.

If you believe in justice then wrongdoings must be punished. The world can't just move on because it happened in the past, it challenges the very idea of social order. Trump is a walking, talking, living monument to a part of USA that is horribly and terribly wrong on a fundamental and institutionalized scale. In the most literal sense of the word, there can not be peace in USA until Trump has gotten what is coming for him.

But there is also a more pragmatic reason why. The attempted coup on the 6th demonstrated an existential crisis to the very country. While it failed to ultimately achieve its goals it did however escape consequences which means that until the anvil drops on those who are responsible, such as Trump, it has established a very real precedent for overthrowing the democracy which both the Democrats and the Republicans can now freely do until they succeeds.

I do not know about you but I sure as hell would not want to see Biden use his vice president to give him the next election for free. So yeah, every American who cares about the election has a pretty good reason to want to see real consequences fall on Trump and his lackeys BEFORE the next election.

With that said I will acknowledge Trump was wrong about the mass election fraud. While I do believe there was some election fraud in 2020 there was nowhere near enough to overturn an election. Trump lost because he couldn’t help but self sabotage himself.

The reason why this is such a big threat is because they are just going to do this again.. and again.. and again.. After all, its not they who paid the price.
