This is what i tend to notice lately, that many people just can't (or don't want?) to even imagine, what it is like, to be in someone else' shoes. Instead people suspect each other, accuse each other, insult each other. Refuse to even consider the other side. Sometimes, people are on opposites SO extreme, they are unable to form a conversation! The other person, with the 'opposite' opinion' is quickly labelled as the ENEMY! Often people are not even in the SAME conversation! It's easier to point the finger?Sometimes people forget that they are humans first. Race, gender, sexuality, political affiliation, etc, come second or third! Do people even care enough, to try and understand the other person? Not really. Considering when someone purposefully hurts another, doesn't knows what is she or he doing to that person. Doesn't know, because never questions how would feel in that person's shoes. This is where personal experience comes too - you don't know, if you never experienced it yourself. But what is scary, is that many don't even stop for a second to think about it. Women do not know what is it like, to be a Man, assaulted by woman/women and be afraid to defend himself, because society views (and assume) the man automatically as the wrongdoer. Men do not know what it is like, to more likely NOT be taken seriously and actually exist in weaker body, despite bein the one to carry the child. (And a lot of useful knowledge is kept away from them.) Many feminist women actually simply go along with the movement, when/if actually benefits them, personally. Most don't care about the other woman two houses down the street. Many MGTOW men actually do go on their OWN way. But the second they actually have a good chance with the woman they want, they will slap their 'comrades' with a wet towel across the face and choose another way. Politicians, powerful people, business (wo) men, people from the 'elite', often DO forget themselves and what is like for the ordinary citizen (s).

I have always said I wish that people could see and feel what I see and feel I can usually feel somebody's energy before they even walk into the room I can usually look into somebody's eyes until you quite a bit about them I cannot walk into a hospital without getting sick are feeling like I want to throw up because I take on everybody else's pain and misery If a friend is hurting all I have to do is look at them and I will say what's wrong When somebody's lying I knew it the first word that comes out of their mouth Every single one of us has an energy within us is who we truly are that energy it's our guy it's our teacher and it's warns us Most people don't know anything about this because they are caught up in the me me me world
We were all meant to be greater kinder help and give to each other but we are the reverse of that and it totally sucks it starts with our politicians all the way down to 5 year old that wants a cookie even if you late to get each and everything they would because they live in the me me me world
I agree whole-heartedly. People are sooooo engrossed into the me-me-me world, no one stops to try and understand another person or what they stand for. I've been trying to say something like this for a long time but failed in finding the appropriate way to word it. You nailed it on the head. Thank You!!!
No girls opinion so far. 0-12. Says a lot about shared ground and giving ground - estrogen and X-gender-chromosomes provide for much more sympathy and some empathy - sometimes a lot more. It's a deeply entrenched societal problems for North Americans that they don't give ground or share ground they have and then criticize others for it without any remorse. North American society is almost entirely based on industry (older people) and commercialism (younger people) and has been for some decades. What they did have they lost.
Humans need empathy to perceive. They need sympathy to understand. Without either you have no perception and no understanding - only robotic reactions. North American society - so ruled by artifice - doesn't allow these traits to develop any more.
It's not even a question. As time goes on and ones basic instincts are restrained and removed, our concerns become only compulsive - more wealth, more items, more clothes, more friends, more books, more connections. We become robots. What we have doesn't matter. The items we have, the friends we have, are only a shadow of what we were. They don't matter except in an extremely artificial way. That's all we have. All we know.
It's not even a question. Humans increasingly fail at humanity but look to the screens for their in interpretation of reality without seeing or advocating truth.
People in general are pretty self absorbed these days, but not everyone. There is still plenty of people that I see personally that empathize with someone else, regardless of gender.
I live rural though and its not like the cities, in the cities people don't seem to care about others, but here in the country we all watch out for each other.
I wold say that is generally true. People are spending more time online than in real life and seeing someone on a screen or worse as a screen name makes them less empathetic. That carries over into the real world.
Yes, I think its predominantly due to the media's exacerbation. I also think the impersonal nature of a lot of our communications (social media) makes it easier to be nasty.
