Why can't past criminal history be used in court for a current trial?

Amazing a guy convicted of same type crimes 10 times before , can not be used in a current trial. It shows past history and operation. So , if he has done it 10 times before , you can bet he did it for the eleventh time. When you go for a job interview , the employer wants to see your past experience , so if you have done a good job last 5 jobs , he can assume you will do a good job for him. What is the difference. ?

I also love how perfect people are when they get arrested for crimes. Family describe a saint , and when you look into their history , they have conviction sheet as long as your leg. But that was all just a set up by the man to trick these people into committing crimes.

One example was George Floyd. I mean yes he was killed and cop was wrong, but don't put him on a cross next to Jesus. He wasn't father of the year. He didn't help old women across the street. He took drugs. He assaulted people. He kicked his pregnant girl friend. He had a prison record. I mean when will he get a star on Hollywood walk of fame? They have a worship statue already.

It's called "Double Jeopardy" and is unconstitutional for our legal courts to do so. We think of jeopardy as a timeless game show but the legal definition is "danger arising from being on trial for a criminal offense." Which is unavoidable pursuing rightful justice even for a wrongfully accused individual.

The United States constitution gives the benefit of the doubt to the defense in every way. The prosecution has to shoulder all the burden of proving an offensive act happened. "Double Jeopardy" is apart of this Constitutional stipulations. Someones found not guilty on a trial you can't get a do over and over again untill you win.

The prosecution needs to be rock solid and head and shoulders better then the defense. That's the Bare minimal to sentence someone of a crime.

Nothing to do with double jeopardy. It is past convictions not being told to jury. If you ask a surgeon how many times he had operated before , ? with this law he does not have to say. Would you allow a surgeon who wouldn't tell you to cut on you?
