The media says they are struggling.
the media lies so much.
Ukranians have been killing their own people since 2014.
our media tells us it was "russians"
yet look what happened now when the REAL russians came in, they slaughtered them, what is Ukraine doing? playing the victim and yelling for help.
if they had really fought the russians since 2014, the world would know it and they would have been screaming for help since then. but no. They were just killing innocent people in silence blaming russians.
now when finally the russians step in to stop that, then now the scream for help. just look at all the help ukraine is getting from all over the world just stop stop russia.
Perhaps they shouldn't have been killing their own people without thinking that there would be no consequences.
The Russian military is so good that Ukraine has to be aided by the entire world when they were already receiving lethal weapons by nato and usa since 2014 helping them kill off as many russian speaking cities in ukraine as possible.
don't just eat the bs that our media posts that it's because putin wants ussr back.
the real reason this happened is because Ukraine instilled russian hate in their schools teaching kids to hate russia since 2014 with help of usa because usa always scared of russia so much that they have placed bombs all around russia.
when the nazis from ukraine started bombing all those innocent children and their families, putin proposed a resolution against nazism, of which the entire world approved except 2 countries. Guess which 2? .. Ukraine and USA
Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
usa is using ukrine as middle man. this is really a war between usa and russia. usa being the aggressor in disguise.
sadly many people chose to ignore the facts. There's so much footage from 2014 of people being burned alive as the murderers sing the ukraine national anthem and scream Slava ukrania Slava nazi with nazi flags. .. as the bodies lay there dying..
but the news there in their country told them it's "russians"
our news here in usa never cared about those innocent people dying and so never covers it because it wasn't russians doing it.
now the biast dead bodies in our faces left and right anywhere you look to promote russian world hate without exposing the real truth why this happened because usa is culprit to it.
I stand with Russia. I do not stand for war or any killings but I understand the reason why this happened. too many people were dying in silence and are still being ignored when they post that those killings were not done by ukrine. Like a slap in the face to those people who suffered and are still suffering.
When the media has to lie and only report russian casualties while ukrine has to cry and pretend to be the victim yelling and asking for more weapons to kill desperately, it is clear Russian army is really that powerful.
they poked the beast and expected it to remain asleep.
Ukraine doesn't just kill, they toruture to the death. there's too much footage unlike what our media shows us.
Ukrine please stop killing innocent people.
World stop sending more weapons to help them continue their genocide only to set the blame elsewhere.
RIP to all the lives taken. 🙏🏻😔

One thing for sure is they've proven they are good at mass killings and raping innocent women and girls.
There is plenty of evidence of this going on now, early on it was strictly based on their past engagements of evidence of it happening other invasions and little evidence.
They are good at hiding evidence too, having a mobile crematorium to destroy bodies so no one can see that they were executed or gang raping is one way of saying, show me the evidence... where is it? uh you destroyed it all.
The world is learning what they are good at, mass killings and gang rapes and then burning their rape victims or burying in mass graves. We know what they are good at, terrorizing and hoping the other side will surrender to save lives.
The problems with Russia's military are more complicated than it seems at face value. The layman's terms version is the combination of political corruption, a largely conscripted and expendable rather than professional/volunteer force, and a lack of both doctrinal and technological advancement.
Politically, it's very likely that Russia's military leaders were feeding false information to to Putin in terms of both their own readiness and the intelligence reports regarding Ukraine, likely in fear of their own careers if they reported something he didn't want to hear. The military is pretty much at the bottom of the government totem pole in Russia, and purging leadership has been a regular thing since even before the Nazis invaded for the purpose of preventing a military coup. In regards to doctrine, everything the Russians have done from massed formations, constricted supply lines, disconnected coordination across units and branches, and the deliberate shelling and bombing of civilian targets is straight from WW2 era Soviet strategy. The Russians have produced a decent amount of "new tech" since the end of the Cold War, but the vast majority of it is basically only marginally more effective than what they had in the 1980s, and it's apparent that they haven't been training for large scale operations at all. Due to the constant abuse and purging of military veterans and leadership, the Russian military also doesn't have an NCO corps that is anything close to what you'd find in say the US or British military, which is very much the backbone of their respective forces. Without a strong mid-level leadership, just about any major endeavor is all but guaranteed to fail.
Modern wars are just unwinnable. All the big expensive toys - tanks, fighter jets, warships, etc - might do okay against third world insurgents armed only with AK47s and IEDs, but they're very vulnerable to cheap missiles and drones. And if you're reduced to fighting house to house, against a defender who has the support of the civilian population and is using guerilla tactics, you're never going to win.

The Russian military has historically mostly only been good at defending themselves from invasions but when it comes to invading other countries, they have a bad track record.
- They lost to the Japanese in the Russo-Japanese war
- They lost to the Germans in WWI
- They lost to the Germans and Finns in the Finnish Civil war
- They lost to the Polish in the Polish-Soviet war
- The Soviets barely won under a technicality in the Winter war but at the same time the Soviets failed to Conquer Finland as Finland inflicted too many casualties on the Soviets
- The Soviets lost the Soviet-Afghan war
- The Russians are currently struggling with the Ukrainians
It’s not that the Russian military is incompetent but rather that it’s better at defense than it is at offense.
They're good at their purpose, which is beating the crap out of unarmed civilians and brutalizing the locals if they disobey. RU forces are also good at committing atrocities towards same and poorly equipped, lightly trained opposition. That's what they do.
Rosgvardia is just riot police, so in combat they got cut to shreds. VDV (paratroopers) is an expeditionary force to go beat up whoever is causing problems - they have a fearsome rep, but force-on-force are ineffective. The vaunted Chechens are a joke - they keep posting vids of themselves prancing about obviously firing at empty buildings without even aiming.
Even the most elite spec ops unit, the pseudo-mercenary Wagner Group, is little different. They avoid actual combat because any reasonable opposition goes right through them, but boast about their effectiveness in Syria, Mali, and etc, not mentioning to opposition they were so effective against were villages and neighborhoods of frightened, unarmed civilians.
The forces sent into Ukraine were expecting to roll right in, then set about beating and shooting disobedient Ukrainians. You can see that in some of the supply cargo.
When that failed, along with everything else they tried, they started shelling apartment buildings, since they're only really effective against unarmed civilians. The Russian military is incompetent, but they're so huge that they can overwhelm with numbers. The biggest problem for them is lack of communication between grunts and officers. The grunts are largely sent in with no details about what's going on. They were told by their superiors to dig in to hold Chernobyl, and had NEVER been told that the soil around Chernobyl is contaminated with radiation.
In the Soviet days, they were good at projecting themselves as being so powerful, and satellite surveys showed all these huge battleships and cruisers anchored in their ports. The thing was, only a handful of these ships were actually seaworthy. The Russians are "all teeth and no tail". Meaning they have fire power but don't have the infrastructure to support a major mobilisation. Also, Russia has distributed their military spend across a variety of fronts and vanity projects, which means they aren't capable of doing any one thing very well IMHO.
Russia spends quite a bit on strategic nuclear weapons maintenance, development of latest generation fighters (but they can't mass produce them), nuclear submarines, and arms specifically dedicated to export. Russia developed a new tank, but it has performed poorly when faves with the patron saint Javelina ;) The result is that Russia wasn't prepared for this specific type of land campaign. The fact that Russia doesn't have a first rate ATGM (anti tank guided missile), is indicative of their poorly defined priorities.
It's important to remember that the Russian economy (pre covid at least) was/is smaller than Italy's.If they are overrated because they struggle, it's just that they had a bad organisation and used very inexperienced forced at the beginning.
It's not comparable to other military attacks in the past decades Like the US invading Afghanistan or Iraq because their military is way worse.
The Ukraine gets military weapons from many countries in the world and they also have a big number of troops.
In fact there number of troops is even higher than Germany so it was never realistic that Russia could achieve a quick winDo not underestimate their military. The military is not bad. The issue is with Putin. He did not give his generals proper notice nor did he make his goals defined enough for the military to form an effective strategy. Putin was overconfident. It is NOT that the Russian military is weak. They were just not used to their full potential. Remember, Russia has not been in heavy combat for the past quarter century like the U. S. until Ukraine. Russia's military is still a very lethal force and not to be underestimated.
Yes, actually they've proven that one in past conflicts and are notoriously barberic in warfare. This is no reflection of Russian people but the government military is generally brudish and uncivilized. Proving to be a major downfall in the modern era.
You can tell expendionary invasions is not Russia's forte. They make so many costly blunders, it's almost like they are inviting other hostile nation to attack them. I think Russia can be destroyed easily.
But, they have a lot of nuclear bombs. That's all they have going for them.yes. but also they intentionally fought with 1 arm behind their back to try and avoid international blowback. they avoided big bombing raids the first few weeks. didn't use their artillery as they could have.
so it's not as cut and dry as a simple yes
on the other hand the same thing happened in 1940 when russia invaded finland and they shaped up pretty quickly in response to their own failuresThey have really struggled!
Russian losses in the invasion have been around twice as many as the United States lost in 20 years of conflict.
It is quite extreme and shows a great level of incompetent for a military that is commonly viewed as the 2nd best on the planet. That's the thing with authoritarian leadership, they only have "yes" men advisors. Say no and find yourself in jail or killed on the spot. That's why they are out of touch with reality when exposed to global insight.
-It’s not the Army. It’s Putin as he did not let his troops operate around a specific Plan. This is fine if one is in a defensive posture such as the 82 are in Poland.
-Oh shit 💩, we’ve been ordered to move suddenly…is not going to be effective.Be careful taking what the media from either side say at face value. There is a ton of propaganda. We won’t know who wins for awhile. If Ukraine ends up intact and with US bases and NATO membership, then the US wins. If Ukraine is partitioned and neutral, Russia wins.
Some 2000 years earlier ''my own people'' successfully banded together to kick arses of the Roman Empire. ''We'' were mere Barbarians back then.
An ''Army's'' performance can be very poor when it's facing a sufficient amount of anger.
Even nukes won't change that.Think war is over rated over all. Wish for all wars to end
Not entirely under rated since people tend to forgot that Russian fight the war with restricted war. If not we might already seeing higher casualties among the Ukrainian especially the civilians.
While its true that Russia might be a little bit incompetent during this war. Remember that Russia-Ukraine war can be said modern at least on par on term of technology (since western are flooding them with high tech weaponry). Compare it with US-Iraq war, those are one sided war.Yea, i thought their military was way more powerful.
Well seeing how fast the Taliban retook Afghanistan I think that's what Putin expected. Reality has set in now. It had been said during the cold war that Russia technology and equipment was poor quality.
They are good at mass rapes of women and children. Its not a professional army its an army of dogs who if they can capture women and little girls and tape them. Its no different that the red army in ww2.
For the Ukrainians sake I hope the statement runs true.
