I mean I totally get not wanting abortions to be legal beyond a certain point, like when the baby is in the last few months and basically is a practically fully formed human being (i personally don't think they should be legal beyond 6 months unless in extreme cases).

But i don't get why people are so so against and so emotional about aborting a foetus when they're 1cm big or at the stage where they look like a human lizard hybrid who doesn't even have a functionning brain. Like seriously what's so wrong about aborting a 1-3 month yo foetus? they're barely human
Like why would you want tens of thousands of mainly young people's lives to be ruined for some 3cm proto human who can't even think, feel pain, or anything

I'm pro life... and I hate even the idea of "GOD"

As a civilized human the idea of killing another human because of selfish reasons no matter what excuse is used to internally justify taking another life doesn't make it no more morally or ethnically justifiable

Compromise needs to obtained in a catch22 situation like this
It's wrong to murder PERIOD... there is no debate about it so don't try
Just because the life being took isn't documented in the US data base doesn't make that life exempt from the right to live

now the compromise comes in when the life of the fetus has become a danger to the mother or if the fetus is no longer living of if it will be suffering in pain if kept alive only then should abortion be thought of as an option... in my opinion

Because from a strictly scientific point of view, technology has advanced to the point where we can actually watch the creation of life almost instantaneously when sperm reaches an egg. This means that in terms of when life begins, the abrahamic religions and biology have essentially identical verdicts on the subject, and it just took the latter about 1800 years to reach the same conclusion through technology. The only honest even if grotesque argument in favor of abortion is from the standpoint of going to extreme lengths to avoid responsibility for a child. The reality (at least in the US - can't speak for other countries which overwhelmingly have much less liberal standards outside of where genocides are taking place) is that less than 1% of abortions carried out are due to rape, incest, or danger to the mother's life, which generally make up the go-to emotional arguments to justify loose abortion laws.

It all comes down to what constitute a living human being? How is a 1month old fetus different to a 8 months old? What about 2 months old baby? What's your definition of human life?

Is it being able to live on it's own? Well, a baby isn't either.
Is it being able to be conscious? Then what about people with reduced or non-existent conscious?
Is it stage of development? Any line here drawn is arbitrary.
Is it the ability to feel pain? What about people that can't feel pain due to a genetical defect?

Essentially there is no logical line to be drawn. And due to that the logical conclusion is to consider the fetus a human life at the moment of conception.

For me... aside from the life or death aspect of it women have this amazing gift to have children... And they squander it. For what a moment of fun? Dont have sex and you dont even need this question. I have been having sex for 12 years and have never had a child. But if i did abortions not an option. Ide take the child before i let her kill it.

Uhh because its a baby? Because its logically consistent position when also considering things like child support or say someone punches you and it kills your baby/clump of cells. Do you want them to get probation for a year for smooshing some cells or go to prison for involuntary manslaughter? Its not just one thing in a vacuum and many people like to be logical and make sense.

if you're the girl you'd have 9 months pregnancy, which really really sucks especially if you're in your teens/early 20s because you're waisting precious time you can't get back being pregnant (especially for a kid you don't want). Plus once you're done and lets say you want to give them up for adoption, it's actually a complicated and hard process apparently. so you'd have to deal with the kid for maybe a little while. If you're the guy and lets say your girlfriend/a random girl you got pregnant wants to keep the kid and raise it, you might have to pay child support, help raise the kid or stuff like that, which can be life ruining
