I'd say my generation, Millennials. At least the other retards are ignorant and don't realize how retarded they're being. We saw our parents work hard, succeed, and then decided we would fuck it all up for the luls. The other bastards couldn't exist without our retarded G8 riots from when we were children, knowing the money isn't evil, and just wanting to watch it all burn.
Anyway, I think we're just cynical hypocrites, while this next wave truly believes in their hopeless causes, while we'll fake cry for money and attention, their tears of frustration and helplessness are real, while more amusing, is also more scary.
It's my belief that from the hypocrisy and hardcore liberalism, the next generation is going to be scary disciplined in whatever paradigm they believe in, simply to not screw themselves over as we have. Looking at these pictures of zoomers though, looks like the next few years will be fruitful. It takes balls to make babies, and none of those guys have them lol
Well thanks man, I wanted to see how things have changed, seems like more radicals, less moderates, sigh, and as much as I don't want to consider myself part of "them", lack of active participation is all I've got. Profiting off other situations when I was younger and goading people on to reap the benefits from the sidelines, yeah, I'm no angel and have to own that.
Millennials hands down. We invented much of the absolute crap that’s being inflicted upon Zoomers.
I don’t really have an opinion, but I figured I would share this quote that I’m not quoting/phrasing correctly but you’ll get my gist: “Each strong generation is followed by a weak one, followed by another strong one because they say how pathetic their parent’s generation was and their need to do better.” (Said some wise man). Not all might agree with this, but I would argue that “A new ‘silent generation’ is emerging for those born during the early 2000’s, since like their great grandparents in the silent generation, their childhood is also deemed to be marked by war and economic recession. I was born in 2001, and we were at war with Iraq, Pakistan, & Afghanistan (War on Terror). Not to mention the record high inflation and supply chain/gasoline shortages that are currently rocking the country. I was blessed to grow up in a situation where I learned the truth about the American government and how harsh this world is at an early age. Not everyone is/was as lucky as I.
You might be thinking of this or something similar.
"Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”
I was born in 86 and was in the 9th grade when 9/11 happened. Before 9/11, America seemed to be on top and most everyone was proud to be an American and there were virtually no issues in society. Then the War on Terror happened and started this divide between the political left and right (it was mostly the overzealous, cult-like right who were causing problems, at the time). This pushback lead to Obama becoming president during this time, under the (now false) promise of "Hope" and Change. ... That never happened. Things actually got WORSE under Obama, although the recession was mostly the Bush administration's fault. But Obama pushed for woke culture and gave this divisive hateful BS a platform, starting in 2011 when Occupy Wall Street got co-opted by crazy far-left psychos, crumbling the very movement in on itself. Then the Trevyon Martin killing happened in 2013, leading to BLM becoming a thing. And by 2015, most universities in America became indoctrination camps for far-left hatred and bigotry. It's now been a minimum of SEVEN years of this sh*t, and nothing really changed even when Trump was in office.
If someone was born in America after 1999, then they likely never knew a time when they could be proud of their country and see how awesome the US was. Yes, I fully know this is all part of Active Measures put in place by people trying to destroy America (and succeeding though not necessarily the KGB; en.wikipedia.org/.../Active_measures I just feel bad that Zoomers could never know how great the US once was and how you could unironically be proud to be an American.
That is the quote! Many thanks 🙂 I completely agree with all that you said. I think it’s a shame that we’ll probably never know how America was back in the good ol’ days before all the events occurred (as you said) after 1999 and snowballed into today’s US. Personally, I am proud to be American even though our country isn’t as great as it used to be. There are a lot of things I wish we could play the reverse card on in our history.
To be quite frank, my own generation hands down. I was born in 1984 so I’m a millennial but my attitude tends to lean more towards Gen X. Also worth noting, most older millennials I know don’t want any affiliation with the younger millennials just because the behaviors and attitudes are too different. My parents are baby boomers and my mom blames a lot of millennials’ fucked up-ness on her own generation.

The zoomers I know, can't seem to hold jobs down. They jump constantly and have lousy work ethics. Maybe it is just them, but if a lot are like that, then I'd have to go with them.
That might actually be true, because I've noticed that with the people at my work.
It's generally accepted throughout the world that millennials covers anyone born from the 80s and 90s. Only in the West, particularly North America and Western Europe, is where people are divided. Some believe those in the late 70s should be counted as millennials while others agree that those born into the mid 00s count too. Why is 1997 the cutoff year and not say 1996 or 1995, when those born in 1997 would have almost no recollection of living in the 90s? How convenient that you fail to mention how zoomers are the most conservative since WW2 (so only silent generation are more traditional).
"It's generally accepted throughout the world that millennials covers anyone born from the 80s and 90s."
Yeah, nobody else believes that. Even Indians and South Koreans. Generations are always in 15-year cycles. A specific month in '97 is the cutoff date, but I don't know what month that is.
And I know Zoomers are more conservative; but what does that have to do with anything? Most Zoomers are still left-leaning; it's like 60/40, as opposed to 75/25 with Millennials. So it's moot bringing that up.
Please don't come on here complaining and whining to every other user on here you disagree with, cause I don't even know who you are and I don't like dealing with overly annoying/nitpicky/negative people on GAG. Did you even answer the question?
And where's your proof that generations are always in a 15 year cycle? If you don't want to believe what I write without evidence, I can easily dismiss your claims without evidence too.
If you want to make such specific claims without evidence, you can do so on 4Chan or Reddit
@bingbongbangbung Why is ‘97 the cut off year? I’m just guessing, but:
“By 1995, the Internet was fully commercialized in the U. S. when the NSFNet was decommissioned, removing the last restrictions on use of the Internet to carry commercial traffic.”
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet
By 1997 a good number of people had gotten onto the internet and more and more people had personal computers in their home. I grew up in those times. I got my first computer in 1996. Around that time of 96-97 you had A LOT of young people getting into the internet for the very first time. A generational epoch.
Also, by the beginning of 1997, it was the very start of Bill Clinton’s second term in office. Essentially the middle of his presidency, with four years behind him, and four years ahead to the 2000 election when Bush came in. By winning his re-election Bill Clinton became only the second Democrat in history to win a second full term since FDR. This was another generational epoch.
I mean I’m just guessing here. 🤷♂️
If I'm to be completely honest, I'm slightly more hopeful for Gen Z.
I was born in '85 but I think these kids today have more hope b/c technology is taking over.
I was born on this day 2003. That makes mee?….. oh ye I don’t care. I hate labeling and judging. If I read it correctly,.. I’m the complete opposite of my generation. Also most that I know.
Both are bad! So glad I was born on a cusp so I don't have to identify as either. Technically a "Zillennial" but hate saying that.
It feels a dinasours name 🤣

This generation is awful and lazy and they live their life throughout a computer screen. This generation has nothing to offer even the music is awful
Just when I thought there couldn't be anything worse than millenials.
Millennials are the most woke 😂
Baby Boomers - for driving up the price of housing and healthcare and demanding Millennials pay for their retirement. Also Gen X for doing stuff and then blaming it on their Millennial siblings.
@exitseven True. I do exclude GaGers from this list of people I blame though. Plus I am Gen X so I do blame myself for this.
Boomers are also the first generation to go woke and give into the post modern crap like CRT and intersectionality, later becoming the college professors who would indoctrinate millennials and zoomers
Doesn't have to do with the years but more on parenting styles, the local mentality and society, intellect and people they hang around
Every generation has its Pros and Cons and if the world bothers you that must... then move to Mars and pipe Down 🙄
“And oh yea I Freaking Love Trevor Noah”
Wow. I’ve honestly never known of a single person that likes that guy. Not one. I’m not even exaggerating. Even other comedians hate him 😂
Every generation sucks
I would say Millennials cause I'm a Zoomers so XD
both and the next one will worst of all
Both are bad but Zoomers are worst
You're literally a zoomer based on OP's standards, so good job embarrassing yourself
@bingbongbangbung You’re not familiar with the concept of self-loathing or misanthropy? One can hate that which one belongs to.
Just look at white people and “white guilt.” 🤷♂️
@Agagagagaga who said I’m white? Or self-loathing?
@bingbongbangbung yes, I am. That doesn’t mean I can’t get to criticize my generation. Second, if you see a problem you’d call it out too
The Z is weird
