Obviously no one reasonable would be against gender equality in everyday life. Pay, opportunity, treatment, etcetera.
I admit, however, that I occasionally have difficulty when applying equality in more "social/dating" scenarios. I'll lay out a scenario with a few examples:
I ask you out on a date. We go to dinner. Do I pay for dinner? If you offer to pay half, or even to cover the tip, and I say, "Don't worry, I got it.", am I being a gentleman? Or am I stepping on your toes? If I say, "Okay thanks for covering the tip.", will I be seen as reasonable? Or cheap? If I hold a door for you and/or pull out your seat at the dinner table, am I again being a gentleman? Or am I perpetuating "outdated gender norms"?
Do the answers vary based on the girl? Do the answers vary on the day of the week? Do I even ask you out to begin with? Or do you ask me out instead?
If we're dating: Gifts for no specific reason: A lovely gesture? Or patronizing?
My examples and questions may seem silly, but these things do run through my mind. There may be no firm correct answers... but life experience has taught me that there are very many wrong answers... and my goal is to try and avoid the wrong answers.
When I was dating thoughts like that would give me anxiety lol. I would question everything on what I should or shouldn’t do. I think it’s best when people don’t really worry about it too much and just get to know the person for who they are but as humans we judge get judged and overthink.

Most women don’t want equality. They just want what they demand without earning it. Examples:
Women’s USA soccer. The wanted equal pay to the mens team. The men being in more fans and revenue so the checks are bigger but they don’t have retirement or health insurance. The woman whined until they got equal pay paid for by what the mens team earns. Oh.. they also whined in the press till they also got ti Jeep their health insurance and retirement plans. The men used to have to buy their own out of their extra earnings. No longer since all that money went to the ladies for a team that brings in less money to USA Soccer.
Very similar to the WMBA. The the ladies that play for the legue get the money to operate and all of the players salaries from the mens MBA legue. No one wants to pay to go watch them play. It’s a slower less exciting less skilled game. They can’t even give the tickets away. It’s really sad yet each year the lady players whine they want equal pay for an inferior product no one goes watch.
All facts! There are many more. And before the haute flies, look this all up for yourself. And also know I have a wife and three daughters that are highly educated and driven. In the office and hospitals they don’t ask nor expect concessions, token promotions, or unearned pay. They do it like the men. They compete head to head…. and win. I agree with having equality of opportunity, but men and women aren't equal. I can't get pregnant, you can't produce sperm. Lacking outside intervention or being an insignificant portion of the population, I'm likely to be stronger than you, as you're more likely to be more skilled in socializing.

There are also a lot of men, and some women that are fighting back because of how extreme this current, and the last, wave of feminism are, along with the impacts they've had. Anywho, men and women are inherently different, this is yelled out by feminism as well. Though they use words such as toxic masculinity. For the pendulum to swing back the other way is only natural, even the greenest of soy boys will fight back when cornered too much.

The law states that it is illegal to pay somone less because of gender.
That means if your contract say that your base pay will be 500, a man with the same contract will also have a base pay of 500.

I believe in gender equality of opportunities and rights. But I don't believe in equality of outcomes when it comes to biological sexes. I view biological females as inferior intellectually and physically. Biological females are more likely to have neuroticism, risk-aversion, physical weakness, and a victim complex rather than compete properly in the business world to build civilization. This is why biological males end up doing male-dominated jobs on average anyway to prevent society from economically collapsing. Pregnancy and taking care of children are why biological females get prone to having neuroticism, risk-aversion, physical weakness, a victim complex, etc. Not that I'm saying all women have never been victims, physically weak, risk-averse, and neurotic. But I'm just saying that due to circumstances, biological females tend to struggle in the business world more than biological males on average. The internet allows everyone to be a characterization of themselves. In real life they probably mostly just think some of the things they are being told about feminism are alarming. And in real life if you press thin on the things they've heard they'll eventually concede that their sources are biased and likely just pursuing a divisive agenda. But on the internet you don't have to look anyone in the eye when they talk to you so you can completely ignore every counter argument and just keep saying what makes you feel better. Moreover, the internet tends to reward those who attract the most attention rather than those who are the most accurate. So there is just no incentive to do anything but stay obnoxiously wrong.
I think it entails what you mean by gender equality, it seems that most people are not on the same page when it comes to the meaning. Now if you are saying equality under the law then yes most people will believe that we are all equal under the law. But when it comes to access and opportunity it would be amazing if we were equal, it sounds good on paper but sadly it is not proactive because women get certain privileges the way men get certain privileges. Know what I've noticed about the people who are most vocal about "gender equality?" They are selective in what type of equality they want for women. For example, you'll hear a lot of women vocal for gender equality always talking about leadership positions (political positions, CEO's, etc.), but what you will never hear from those same women is talking about equality in hard labor jobs such as bricklaying, oil-rigging, mining, etc. Never hear about feminists crying out for more work opportunities in those fields, do you? No, it's only the comfy desk jobs that pay six figures to ultimately screw over others.
Because it´s a topic guys have a hard time talking about in general. Like there are buzzwords or topics that guys like to avoid talking about because the topic is connected to negative emotions or issues a guy had in the past.

I am all for 100% equality, but that is what it should be: 100% equality. However, currently we are living in a society where men have it harder in some fields and women have it harder in others.
I think the reason why you hear these men talk so vocally against it, is because when people talk about gender equality, they usually talk about the fields where women/minorities (like lgbtq) have it harder. And on the other hand, they talk about the white straight men as a slur or the root of all evil.
If you are told long enough that you have it better while you can see other people obviously being treated better in some fields, you naturally grow agitated about that. That is probably why they are against such topics, because they are generally quite one sided.
