Obviously no one reasonable would be against gender equality in everyday life. Pay, opportunity, treatment, etcetera.
I admit, however, that I occasionally have difficulty when applying equality in more "social/dating" scenarios. I'll lay out a scenario with a few examples:
I ask you out on a date. We go to dinner. Do I pay for dinner? If you offer to pay half, or even to cover the tip, and I say, "Don't worry, I got it.", am I being a gentleman? Or am I stepping on your toes? If I say, "Okay thanks for covering the tip.", will I be seen as reasonable? Or cheap? If I hold a door for you and/or pull out your seat at the dinner table, am I again being a gentleman? Or am I perpetuating "outdated gender norms"?
Do the answers vary based on the girl? Do the answers vary on the day of the week? Do I even ask you out to begin with? Or do you ask me out instead?
If we're dating: Gifts for no specific reason: A lovely gesture? Or patronizing?
My examples and questions may seem silly, but these things do run through my mind. There may be no firm correct answers... but life experience has taught me that there are very many wrong answers... and my goal is to try and avoid the wrong answers.
Most women don’t want equality. They just want what they demand without earning it. Examples:
Women’s USA soccer. The wanted equal pay to the mens team. The men being in more fans and revenue so the checks are bigger but they don’t have retirement or health insurance. The woman whined until they got equal pay paid for by what the mens team earns. Oh.. they also whined in the press till they also got ti Jeep their health insurance and retirement plans. The men used to have to buy their own out of their extra earnings. No longer since all that money went to the ladies for a team that brings in less money to USA Soccer.
Very similar to the WMBA. The the ladies that play for the legue get the money to operate and all of the players salaries from the mens MBA legue. No one wants to pay to go watch them play. It’s a slower less exciting less skilled game. They can’t even give the tickets away. It’s really sad yet each year the lady players whine they want equal pay for an inferior product no one goes watch.
All facts! There are many more. And before the haute flies, look this all up for yourself. And also know I have a wife and three daughters that are highly educated and driven. In the office and hospitals they don’t ask nor expect concessions, token promotions, or unearned pay. They do it like the men. They compete head to head…. and win. They won’t take what they haven’t earned.
I think there is a few reasons
1. If you are not vocal you dont stand out, you may be frogetable
2. If someone is not caring about it they less likely to reply to topics about it, so if they do they likely care more and be more vocal about it
3. Trolls: Its a heated topic for some, so some may try to be vocal to blow it up and make it more messy
TL:DR Dont think so many are that vocal, but vocal just calls for it and memmory of it
I never understood why so many men hate feminists. I’m not a feminist myself - but I do believe each gender is worthy of respect - and I have no idea what makes men hate them with such a strong passion.

I agree with having equality of opportunity, but men and women aren't equal. I can't get pregnant, you can't produce sperm. Lacking outside intervention or being an insignificant portion of the population, I'm likely to be stronger than you, as you're more likely to be more skilled in socializing.
Outside intervention being steroids, or a job that makes you socialize. Like sales or what not.
There are also a lot of men, and some women that are fighting back because of how extreme this current, and the last, wave of feminism are, along with the impacts they've had. Anywho, men and women are inherently different, this is yelled out by feminism as well. Though they use words such as toxic masculinity. For the pendulum to swing back the other way is only natural, even the greenest of soy boys will fight back when cornered too much.
Kind of like police brutality is going to be coming back to a city near you because of these crime waves, it's just simple causality.
Ok here goes.
Equal pay.
The law states that it is illegal to pay somone less because of gender.
That means if your contract say that your base pay will be 500, a man with the same contract will also have a base pay of 500.
The gap appears die to work experience, efficiency, workload, work conditions and difficulty, time off work (sick leave, vacation etc)
Ladies, put your back into it.
I worked with women and very few could keep up.
Im gonna assume you also mean social equality... well i hope your a super genius with a phd in biology and chemistry so you can develop a drug that completely suppresses gender specific hormones that guide interactions between genders.(ex : womens tears give off a hormone that can lessen mens aggression)
I also hope that women who drive cars know how to change tires, oil and so on because men can do it themselves.
Affirmative action programs and gender quotas also have to go. Not only are they illegal since they specifically discriminate against men, there are no such things for men. I know its horrible, nigh on inhumane to expect a woman to prove themselves on their own merit. Total injustice.
Its legal to circumcise men but not women.
So whats it gonna be? Are we gonna stop slicing boys or start slicing girls? Pick one.

Im not against equality. Im just sick of women being so entitled, they think they can select where "equality" should be applied.

I believe in gender equality of opportunities and rights. But I don't believe in equality of outcomes when it comes to biological sexes. I view biological females as inferior intellectually and physically. Biological females are more likely to have neuroticism, risk-aversion, physical weakness, and a victim complex rather than compete properly in the business world to build civilization. This is why biological males end up doing male-dominated jobs on average anyway to prevent society from economically collapsing. Pregnancy and taking care of children are why biological females get prone to having neuroticism, risk-aversion, physical weakness, a victim complex, etc. Not that I'm saying all women have never been victims, physically weak, risk-averse, and neurotic. But I'm just saying that due to circumstances, biological females tend to struggle in the business world more than biological males on average. This is why there are more biological males being geniuses having abnormally high I. Qs and skipping grades compared to biological females.
The internet allows everyone to be a characterization of themselves. In real life they probably mostly just think some of the things they are being told about feminism are alarming. And in real life if you press thin on the things they've heard they'll eventually concede that their sources are biased and likely just pursuing a divisive agenda. But on the internet you don't have to look anyone in the eye when they talk to you so you can completely ignore every counter argument and just keep saying what makes you feel better. Moreover, the internet tends to reward those who attract the most attention rather than those who are the most accurate. So there is just no incentive to do anything but stay obnoxiously wrong.
I think it entails what you mean by gender equality, it seems that most people are not on the same page when it comes to the meaning. Now if you are saying equality under the law then yes most people will believe that we are all equal under the law. But when it comes to access and opportunity it would be amazing if we were equal, it sounds good on paper but sadly it is not proactive because women get certain privileges the way men get certain privileges. But in today's era, a lot of men are coming to the realization that women are getting much more privilege nowadays when things are supposed to be equal, which is why you are seeing a small minority of men that are against it because I think they realize that equal means they get the short end of the stick.
Know what I've noticed about the people who are most vocal about "gender equality?" They are selective in what type of equality they want for women. For example, you'll hear a lot of women vocal for gender equality always talking about leadership positions (political positions, CEO's, etc.), but what you will never hear from those same women is talking about equality in hard labor jobs such as bricklaying, oil-rigging, mining, etc. Never hear about feminists crying out for more work opportunities in those fields, do you? No, it's only the comfy desk jobs that pay six figures to ultimately screw over others.
Because it´s a topic guys have a hard time talking about in general. Like there are buzzwords or topics that guys like to avoid talking about because the topic is connected to negative emotions or issues a guy had in the past.
Other words might be "feminism", "toxic masculinity" or "therapy" but depending on each guy those could vary.
The problem guys have with such words is that many of us have a negative interpretation of it so hearing those topics leads to us talking its importance or avoiding talking about it also by insults. Meaning guys often here such topics as an attack and not as someone who´s actually asked for their opinion.
I therefore would say because many guys are frustrated and they kind of lack a knowledge how to date and what a woman wants they use topics as this as vessel for their emotions.
It therefore looks like a guys are naturally against it while they actually might have something different mind than you.
I have no idea. Many are just trolls I think. I am not for superior rights either like some feminists think women should get SPECIAL treatment and so do many people who are too far conservative. What exactly those are depends on which side you're on.
But equal rights I support 100 percent!

I have seen some very sexist people on this site both misogynist and misandrist. I hope they are just trolling... That is bad enough. You wonder if people are really stupid enough to believe the things they do. But you get into their circular logic and they can't even see they make a bigger fool out of themselves.
I am all for 100% equality, but that is what it should be: 100% equality. However, currently we are living in a society where men have it harder in some fields and women have it harder in others.
I think the reason why you hear these men talk so vocally against it, is because when people talk about gender equality, they usually talk about the fields where women/minorities (like lgbtq) have it harder. And on the other hand, they talk about the white straight men as a slur or the root of all evil.
If you are told long enough that you have it better while you can see other people obviously being treated better in some fields, you naturally grow agitated about that. That is probably why they are against such topics, because they are generally quite one sided.
Again, I am all for 100% equality. I think everyone is, as long as it is 100% equality.
What equality are you referring to exactly. Are you taking a very top few percentage of men and comparing women to that group? Because of women really want equality you got to realizing men predominantly make a lower grades than women, men have lower numbers of graduation and high School than women men are less likely to succeed in college that women men are more likely to end up in prison and women men are more likely to be murdered than women what part of this are you wanting to be an equal part of exactly?

All I can say is women can have it all but good luck keeping any of it. Historically speaking matriarchies never last, this one won't either. I perceive what's happened to be communists replaced workers party with gender & this will be MUCH more devastating.

I’m not opposed to it just as I’m sure a lot of men aren’t. But what I am against is when women want things when it benefits them but don’t want it when it goes against them. Trust me I don’t care if women are in charge, let them take the wheel for a while so a lot of us men can take a break from it. There’s no equality in a lot of things especially when it comes to family courts, alimony, etc. Women are required to register for selective services. If we want equality all that needs to change. A lot of men these days are realizing that they aren’t getting equality as well. But it need to be fixed for both sides.
I assume you mean they are against feminism. Modern feminism literally has nothing to do with gender quality. It's a divisive, sexist and and gynocentric movement. Anyone who says being against modern feminism is against gender equality is being very dishonest.

Don't get me wrong when it comes to opportunity, I am 100% for that. However I don't see that happening for either men/women. Simply because people like having benefits that only they can have. Fairness for a lot of people isn't what they want or appeal to want. They want power and power isn't fair. A true society base off of gender equality would be incredible but also unlikely with today's point of view. As long as theirs a chance for being better than someone else or having more power ( wealth, race, or whatever else you can think of ) I really don't see equality of genders or people happening anytime soon. Selfishness and greed are rout problems of everything
