Was President Trump a Trojan Horse?

Question

Trump was a registered Democrat longer than he has been a Republican and he donated more money to Democrats than Republicans.  The mentally challenged Trump supporters are too ignorant to realize that Trump was not a conservative Republican and that he totally supported the deep-state. Otherwise, he would have brought the troops home and pardoned Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, and Julian Assange.  If Hillary had been elected, the Republicans might have fought tooth and nail to prevent her and the Democrats from passing the deep-state agendas. However, since Trump was elected, the Republicans rolled over and voted with the Democrats to give the deep-state everything they wanted. If Trump was not a supporter of the deep-state, he would not have appointed deep-stators such as William Barr, his three Supreme Court appointees, and other federal judges. You know, judges that voted against him in the voting fraud lawsuits. Everything Trump did was for the benefit of the deep-state. That is the reason that the federal judges and Supreme Court justices he appointed have voted to support the deep state.  I know that in the last few weeks of his presidency, Trump fired a few members of the deep-state. That is only because Trump loves being president and didn’t realize that the deep-state would throw him under the bus in favor of Biden. However, it was too little and too late.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Trump having been a Democrat much longer than a Republican. There's a reason for that...

Trump is a "New Yorker" - a person, like me, born and raised in New York City and its metropolitan area. For over 100 years in the city of New York, Democrats are generally in power - especially by the time Trump took over the family company.

Since I was born in 1963, New York City has had only 3 Republican Mayors and none would be considered a "real Republican" in today's far-right GOP:
1. John Lindsay, who became a Democrat toward the end of his administration - a Rockefeller Republican. Such a Republican would be considered Republican In Name Only (RINO) to today's far-right GOP.
2. Rudolph Guiliani, who is a RINO but embraced Trumpworld because he needed a reason to live.
3. Michael Bloomberg, who was a Democrat until 2001 when he registered as a Republican because he wasn't going to win the Democratic primary. Really, Bloomberg is the epitome of RINO because he was only a Republican from 2001-2007 during the early years of his administration.

My point in this is that Trump's reality was based in NYC and to get along and wheel and deal, he had to be friendly with the powers that be in NYC which meant Democrats.

Meanwhile, Trump was always a bit looney and also a bit of a Republican because of his family's racist tendencies. However, he only really became a modern Republican over the past 20 years (*) or so, I am afraid, because he is losing his mind. Then again, he always was something of an evil narcissistic asshole and, on the web, there's plenty of evidence for that over the past 50 years. But, he has a good understanding of the dark side of human nature and is willing to "go there" whereas normal people with ethics do not.

(*) 9/11 affected many New Yorkers including me. It turned many people from more easy-going or liberal to becoming darker and more protective of "home". Trump would have taken 9/11 personally and that's probably when he actually started to give a shit about "America First". In that sense, he is patriotic a bit and I do believe that. As for caring for the rank and file GOP voter, no, I don't think he cared that much except for selling them his persona to get votes and power.

I'm sure most conservatives know that Trump was never a real conservative nor a real Republican. When he started doing well in his first primaries, a lot of Republicans freaked out. They didn't want him. Even as late as the Republican convention I was hoping they would pick someone else. I don't know if they can legally do that, but I was hoping they would.

Trump has ALWAYS been an asshole and an attention whore, ever since he first started getting in the news back in the 80s or whenever it was. And yes he was a Democrat. Many of his policies were and still are Democrat. And Democrats got him elected in 2016. He got a huge number of crossover votes, especially in the swing states and surprise states. Those states where he got heavy Democrat votes won the election for him.

Trump has changed parties at least five times in his life, but he was Democrat the longest. He switched to the Republican Party just before he ran. No doubt it was a tactical decision because he knew Hillary would be easy to beat.

He's a marketing guy. He markets whatever product he thinks people will buy. A big portion of his marketing is still Democrat.

Trump was recruited by very high level Democrats to run for president as a Democrat. I think one reason they hate him so much is because they wanted him to run as a Democrat and he ran as a Republican instead.

That doesn't seem to be the case. Look at his trade and foreign policies and his removal of some burdensome federal regulations. None of those were in alignment with the leftist bureaucrats. The personal attacks on Trump and the disruption of his time in office with the Russia Hoax and subsequent Mueller investigation and the faux impeachments make it clear that he wasn't some Deep State plant- the Deep State would not have subjected their Trojan Horse to that.

Much of your case rests on appointments, which had to be confirmed by the Senate, not merely appointed by him.

As for the potential pardons, remember that the process for requesting one goes through the DOJ, which is part of the federal bureaucracy nicknamed The Deep State. And do we know that any of those three actually submitted a request for a pardon? In reality, Trump was more of a conventional President than he wasn't and he was a hybrid, but the policies he was able to pursue didn't meet the approval of the leftist federal bureaucracy.

You can make a good case that Trump was a Trojan Horse because other than a few minor things that Trump supporters praise him far, what he did as president wasn't much different than what any conservative Democrat would have done. It appears the establishment both Democrats and Republicans didn't like him but, for all I know, that could have been show.

I never trusted him so didn't vote for him in either election. Of course, I didn't vote for for a Democrat either because, given the choices, voting was pointless.

Kinda was, his candidacy started out as sorta a joke, than Hillary and the DNC with the help of MSM, legitimized his campaign and elevated him as the pied piper candidate viewing him as the easiest Republican to beat. Than the plan back fired and Trump managed to win, instead of Hillary and DNC taking responsibility for losing, they screamed Russia interference. Wasn't Russia's fault Hillary choose a pro-choice corporate centrist as a running mate, and wasn't Russia's fault Hillary didn't campaign in the rust belt that cost her the election. Don't think actually campaigning in the rust belt would have made much of a difference as she supported shitty trade deals that shipped jobs over seas and Trump campaigned against them. I don't really think the GOP would have blocked deep state agenda, seeing as how Mitch McConnell threatened to impeach Trump if he pardoned Assange.

Trump wasn’t perfect, but he was better than any politician before. I started out hating him and cringing at his speeches, but eventually warmed up to him, especially when I saw that everyone in news media and politics that I hated couldn’t stand him.
Trump really wasn’t the problem. He was a bit naive but was as moderate as they come. Most of his policies were 90’s Democrat policies, but the establishment Left and Right are insufferable and worthless. The bloodsuckers in our government have drained this country of its wealth and still pretend to care about it and it’s people. We’re already screwed. Especially come winter.
