Obviously beauty is objective but half the indoctrinated mentally challenged Americans don't know it. Three primary characteristics of beauty that can easily be measured is bilateral symmetry, athletic ability, and good health.
both, there are a few subjective elements but most of it has a biological root

I think it would be ignoring reality to say beauty wasn't largely objective. I mean we have supermodels, influencers and celebrities that we hold up as examples of what to strive to look like. If beauty was largely subjective we wouldn't agree about this as a society.
Now that's not to say that someone that doesn't fit society's beauty standards can't attain a level of notoriety or fame.
Case in point. Look at Melissa McCarthy she's funny, she's got personality (she might even be a good person). But she's NEVER going to be the leading lady. She has too many strikes against her physically.
And to anyone who reads this and get mad. Remember the question was "BEAUTY". I didn't make the rules. If society changes I'll change my answer.
I think it's subjective, because we aren't all exactly into the same things, especially as what's attractive in one culture, may not be in another.
At the same time though, there are times when most people will be attracted to one person or the same kind of people.
i think there is an objective part that is very broad and basically focuses on things like a symmetric face and a body that appears to be healthy i. e. not extremely overweight or underweight and then there is the way bigger and more important subjective part.
the way we define beauty is also influenced by society, the media and probably some fetishes people have (for example those that are attracted to extremely overweight people)
it's a complex subject and hard to define
I say subjective but that depends. There are things that are more universally either attractive or unattractive.
But yea there are some people who are really attractive to some and to others not so much. You can see it even with some questions on here. Part of people find something attractive. Some find it really unattractive. While others don't give a shit either way
Beauty is fully and entirely subjective, but facial symmetry is objective. And it is subjective whether one needs to have a scientifically symmetrical clean face or not in order to be considered beautiful.
It’s actually both. Extensive research suggests symmetry is the most universal indicator of beauty. So that’s going to be objective. Other characteristics will be more subjective, generally, and even tend to change with time.
I think it's subjective. I might think that someone is beautiful and you might think that the person is ugly and vice versa.
It all comes down to one preferences and definitions of beauty.
I'd say on a base level it's fairly objective, but perhaps up to a third of the 'ranking' is subjective. Of course there are always outliers, like some tribes with unusual beauty standards/customs.
Determining what is beautiful or isn't beautiful has always been a matter of personal opinion and judgement.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... subjective based on the viewer.
There's a reason fat people say they get treated better when their skinny.
There common knowledge of beautiful and who's ugly.
There some small. mjrorty that likes weird stuff. But they are a fraction
Generally speaking their is general concensus on what physically looks good, but their is definitely a element of subjective when it comes to physical beauty as well.
