Right now, the way it is, these politicians like Congress, the House, Governor 's, Mayor's, vice president, president, speaker of the house, and anyone else that the shoe fits don't even work for the people in America 🇺🇸, yet they get paid to not work. Do you think they should have to prove they actually did some work and documenting it, and be accountable for their time they did actually do some work?

I don't know how it would be possible to monitor their productiveness when they are on the clock. As it is now, they work a lot, but their jobs are to constantly raise as much money for their respective parties.

I'd prefer to cut their salaries and eliminate their free benefits and pensions. Make is illegal to receive any benefits from elites or lobbyists, and monitor them closely. Crack down hard on special interest money.
These corrupt motherfuckers become multi-millionaires while in office.

Also mandate that they are subject to any legislation they pass. No exclusions or special privileges that don't apply to everyone else.

Like you said crack down on them and hold them accountable for any real work they do. And campaigning doesn't count as work. This is something the people can push back on them. I believe I read they just gave themselves a raise. For what? Making the rest of us poor?
I believe what I am proposing isn't out of reach. When I worked with salaried employees, they still had to fill out a legal sized paper accounting for their time.

@sage2021. I hear you. I don't know, though. It's such a huge question. Our two party system has become fubar. It's actually built on corruption; based on corruption. When politics is based on self interest and not the good of the country, how do you fix it? It's almost liking asking how do you make shit less shitty.

They put a lot of us in the poor house while giving themselves a raise. For doing what? Just because some people are salary employees doesn't mean they shouldn't have to be accountable for the work the MIGHT have done. They can fill out a timesheet and remain salaried employees but show what work they did. It's a brand new world and change is everywhere, so this can change as well.

Yes! ALL governmental operations and workers should have to report exactly what they do with our tax money! Furthermore, if you're not making use of any of those services, you shouldn't have to pay them!! I just got a school tax bill for nearly $3000 an hour ago and I wanna know first off, why I even have to pay it since I don't have any kids? And, secondly, even if I DID have kids, what am I getting for my money? With the TERRIBLE way kids are being "taught" (and I use that word VERY loosely) today, whatever money they're taking in through school taxes, it's NOT worth what we're forced to pay!! YOU show me some fucking GOOD results as far as what kids are learning, today, and I'll at least consider paying the taxes for it!!

Isn't there any way you can get out of paying that bill? If you are low income, you shouldn't have to pay. Period. This is infuriating to say the least.

As far as I know, there's no way I can get out of paying it! And, it IS unfair!!
At the moment, I'm less than no income!1 I get a monthly check for about $420 and have to pay $435 of that to my storage unit!! I'm gonna HAVE to get all the junk out of THIS house that my aunt held onto for the last 50-some years and start bring my stuff up here. BUT, the first thing I have to do is find a way to buy the house back from the bank! She mortgaged the place to give MORE money to her scammer buddies a couple weeks before she died and now, I'M stuck with having to use ALL of my money, plus more, to buy it back! People my age are retiring!! I'm still trying to find a fucking job!! Jobs and girlfriends are VERY hard to come by, for me, and I've never understood why!!

Not everyone is, or should be, an hourly worker. I spent almost my entire career as a salaried worker, working whatever hours were needed to get the job done. Congressman should do whatever it takes to get the job done.

They are in campaign mode now for the November elections and gave themselves a raise to campaign and not do actual work for the people while the rest of us won't be able to afford food and then the store shelves will be empty in the not so distant future. I remember when Trump was our President we heard about bills being passed a lot and they would show him signing the bill. His bills were for something good for America.
