Texas is trying to invoke the Guarantee Clause which requires the federal government to provide protection against foreign invasion. They claim that the federal government is not doing anything to protect them against an invasion of illegal aliens and drug smugglers. The democrats are claiming there is no invasion because the illegal aliens are not armed and are not a part of an invading army. There have been over 100,000 deaths from fentanyl overdoses during 2021, the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45. It this statistic alone enough to call this situation an invasion?Is this an invasion?

Comment 2. This may be a foreign policy issue.
Comment 3. Fentanyl is problem but the trafficking of illicit Fentanyl is not just an issue with Mexico but India and China as well. So, what are we going to do at the airports and shipping ports to thwart this "invasion"?
Comment 4. It's not an invasion in the Founder's sense [* See bottom.], but it is a criminal problem. Considering that it is criminal, why don't the Texas State Police get involved... or put together a voluntary force of "2nd Amendment Enthusiasts" with AR-15s to patrol the border... (I actually think they are doing something like that already.)
Comment 5. A major problem with our land borders is that normal people often own the land right on the border. You can't just send troops to people's property without some form of due process. This is partly covered under the 3rd Amendment: === No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. === Also, since there is not a declared war, the military force involved must be the National Guard... which Texas can call up on its own, I believe.
All comes down to votes, power, and oppression. We are losing our identity and values in America. And that is exactly what these liberal globalists want.
I guess if you want to split hairs, they are right. According to the Oxford dictionary invading another country requires the Invaders to be armed.
However, if any become violent then it is in fact an insurrection. We've had many insurrections at the border where the illegal aliens were throwing rocks at border patrol.
I'm guessing whoever pointed out that it's not an invasion, didn't offer any kind of description of what it is.
But if they're not violent you could still call them a swarm of marauders entering the country illegally.

Oh and I was going to tell you something else about fentanyl but forgot. More than likely, someone is going to say that Americans should just stop using fentanyl. I heard senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee say that there is a new thing the drug dealers are doing. They're lacing dollar bills with fentanyl. Then I guess they just throw them around town. Keep in mind that fentanyl is 100 times more powerful than heroin. And you can absorb it through the skin. And there's a new drug in Florida called ISO. It's 20 to 100 times more powerful than fentanyl. So I would say it's a chemical weapon. But I'm sure biden's press secretary would just call it a recreational drug or something. I don't know how Biden gets away with leaving the border wide open like this. That new press secretary said the border is closed. Well, we have had 2 million illegals come in through that closed border under biden's watch. Can you imagine how many millions it would be if the border was open?
It depends which dictionary you look at. Dictionary. com has this definition an act or instance of invading or entering as an enemy, especially by an army. 1) the entrance or advent of anything troublesome or harmful, as disease. 2) entrance as if to take possession or overrun: 3) the annual invasion of the resort by tourists. 4) infringement by intrusion. Take your pick.
It is an invasion of course. They don't do it like putin obvious, but 1,200 + people every single day year round just pouring over the border into our country without speaking one word of the language and with no intention to assimilate is of course an invasion. I have 1st generation immigrant friends (read that again) who puke when they see the southern border
All legal immigrants hate this shit. I've done the legal paperwork for two immigrants to come to America, and it's a fucking nightmare. They have to undergo FBI background checks, and see an America-approved doctor in their country to see if they have a clean bill of health.

These were both fiance visas. Two guy friends of mine were bringing girls to america. We got a lawyer for the first one, but he was really shitty at it. So we let him finish the visa, but later when it came time for the green card I just did it myself. And see the other guy I just did the whole thing myself. Maybe that's why your friends had a hard such a hard time because those lawyers just seem like they're making it up as they go.
I think that not counting airfare, each one was under $5,000. Maybe a little more for the first one because of that lawyer. And they both took under a year to do. The very first step in the process is that the guys have to fly to Thailand to meet them. You have to get pictures of them together and any other type of proof they can come up with that they actually went there. Like they keep their airplane tickets. After that you just start the k1 fiance visa. Once the girls get to America the guys get 3 months to change their mind, and the girls have to either leave or get married to them. I'll never do that again, because it's too much work to play by the rules. The government makes it much easier if you just break the rules.
It is 100% an invasion. I remember I was in elementary school and a kid was coming to school trying to sell pills from a bag. Of course kids talk and people found out. They were illegal immigrants and if the kid didn't sell enough of them he got beat. The dumbest part to me is what elementary school kids has money? This happened in the early 2000s. From then to now so many drug dealers around the same area have been busted and houses with 20 people in them have been cleared. I think you call them "illegal immigrants" not "invaders". They migrate - meaning they are moving from one place to another in hopes of either settling in temporarily or permanently.
They are not trying to conquer you or something related - they are trying to be a part of your country - albeit illegally.
It is more a function of giving them free food, housing , healthcare and a free iPhone 13. Each one costs the taxpayers between 35 and 45 thousand dollars per person per year. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Americans have not always been drug addicts. There has been a big spike in overdose deaths in 2020 and again in 2021. This is not a coincidence. The Border Patrol has seized record amounts of fentanyl at the border since Biden took office. It does not take a genius to see that it is all related.
