Why do Americans express so much hate and anger toward one another?

It may be normal for people to disagree, but the hate, anger, and distrust liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans express toward each other goes far beyond disagreeing. Regardless of the facts, are there any liberal Democrats that don’t believe Trump won in 2016 because he conspired will Russia to interfere with the election? And, are there any conservative Republicans that don’t believe Biden won in 2020 due to voter fraud? Is it because people are basically very different than 70 or more years ago or is it because powerful people that own and/or control mainstream media are deliberately causing division in the American public?

Because of the impacts of social media, it gives people a voice and platform that they would of not otherwise have had, and politicians pander to them at the expense of the vast majority of the voting population. People are getting tried of seeing so much effort being put into improving the lives of such a small population of people, and doing nothing for the vast majority. Its never enough for the smallest segments of the population and it does absolutely nothing for the vast majority of the total population.

But in todays world all Democrats do is promote Woke type Social Injustice issues, or LGBTQ type crap. Well lets be honest people are getting sick of it. If you're a white voter in the Democratic party and your straight heterosexuals, and the 4th to 6th generation of European immigrants... well you feel under attack. They are rewriting our history, subjugating our values, killing our heroes and basically dismissing us as the vast majority of voters with in their own party.

- Transgenders total about 1.4 million in the US today that's less than 1 % of the population, like more exactly.4%.

- Blacks total 41.6 million in the US today that's only 12.6% of the total population in the Untied States.

-Black Voters make make up 19% of the total registered Democratic voters as of 2019, that's up form 17% in 1996.

They don't even call use white any more, we are Non-Hispanic Whites. That's insulting to us because we are White and identify as White. African Americans are no more African than I am European... their families have been her a lot longer than most whites. So that insulting to.

- White voters only make up 59% of registered Democratic voters in 2019/20, and that is down from 76% in 1996.

So the Democratic Party is bleeding white voters and they are not even trying to talk to or address their concerns. In stead they keep doubling down on Gays and Blacks and this it pushing more White voters away from the party. As you can see these votes are not necessarily going over to the to Republican Party. 94% of registered Republicans were white in 1996, but now that number is down to 81%.

Why do Americans express so much hate and anger toward one another?

On the above chart you see that numbers are down from 31% to 26% of white voters are solid democrat, were left leaning white voters are down from 46% to 39%. So that means over 10% of white voters are less likely to vote Democratic, where as looking at the the Republicans 10% more white voters are more likely to vote Republican.

That's a big deal because 76% of 240,000,000 eligible votes in the United States are white. That's 182,400,000 voters so losing 10% of the white vote means you are potentially 18 million voters.

- Only 52% of Democratic voters identify as being Christians, and that is down from 72% in in 2008.

-79% of Republication voters identify as being Christians, and that is down From 87% in 2008.

So why do the democrats pander so hard to the Woke social injustice and LGBTQ when its bleeding away white heterosexuals voters that make up 76% of the voting population?

For the Republicans it makes some sense because more white voters, Christians or not are leaning more Republican. They might not like the Christian agenda but they can't get behind all the social injustice or LGBTQ stuff. And that is because they are the overwhelming majority of the population and they are tried of these populations of people that together make up less than 20% of the total population getting so much attention when there is so little being done. They are getting pissed about it, and people act like they do know why? Trump won in 2016 because he went to key states and talked directly to White Voters, and Hillary did nothing. Biden only won because he is not Trump.

Everyone else is either just tired of the bullshit and pissed about seeing the country being ran by idiots that bail out major corporations while doing so little to improve the life's of the mass majority of the Americans. Seriously when comes to the pocket book and taxes, neither party is doing nothing for the American people regardless if they are white, black or Christian. But as long as they can keep us fight amongst ourselves then they can skate by doing nothing. And people are getting pissed.

You are right. There was a time in this country that people could disagree about things without wanting to kill each other. But the country has become polarized, to the point where family members who disagree about certain issues end up not speaking to each other! Conservatives think liberals are crazy, and liberals think conservatives are evil! The country really cannot go on like this!

I am really not so sure, I do know it was there for a very very long time
And with yhe internet becoming more avaible I belive it got wrost, not only you got 24 hour access to BS, you also got grouping locations like web sites, fourms, groups

Like what I mean is like when someone gets in a group that lets say is about the Dolphine party, all they hear is about the dulphines, about how good they are, how nice, and that becomes a loop, then the crab party has the same thing
Both groups seprated in a circle of "We are right" over and over, till when. they meet someone from outside the group from "the outher side" that at that point become a mystic creature they made a totem of wrong doing and evil, so when thdy meet one they try to show them the right way and they do the same

You can add on top of it news with ads, more drama more panic = more views
So news are encarge to help create a us vs them mentality at everone

Over all USA is a very split with tons of mysitcal evil monsters created in the minds of "Us vs them" that is where I belive it comes from

It's not an equal thing. In general, Republicans hate, Democrats are frustrated. Obviously there's some variation on both sides.

Democrats, the courts, the states' election officials, and multiple re-counts and audits say the election was not stolen. Trump says it was and many Republicans believe him.

Republicans say that the problems with the power grid in Texas are due to the Green New Deal. Democrats say it's because it hasn't been properly maintained and hardened against bad weather, despite it happening before, in 2011. People died when the power grid failed again in cold weather ten years later. The Green New Deal was never enacted. Now they're blaming windmills, when every power source in the state failed.

60% of the country wanted to keep the right to an abortion. 88% of the country wants firearm sales background checks. Support for Medicare covering dental, vision, and hearing, or for allowing it to negotiate drug prices is in the 80%+ range, including high-70% numbers of Republican voters. 70% of Americans support gay marriage. 80% of people think the rich and corporations aren't paying their fair share of taxes (and their proportion has decreased significantly over the last few decades).

Republicans say small children are being taught a university level course on racial discrimination (CRT). They pretend teaching kids not to be bigoted is the same thing.

Law enforcementinvestigate people making death threats against school board members. Republicans pretend they're calling civil disagreement with the board "terrorism".

Democrats are crap at representing the people, especially their voters, but Republicans don't even bother to try any more.

Of course, now you will dismiss this opinion, which is backed up with facts, as being the mirror image of someone saying, say: "It started shortly before joey Biden became president. It wasn't like this until then. The left is a bunch of wild and crazy people!!"

I loathe ignorance, no matter who it comes from or what your political party is or isn't. Used to be there was a meeting ground that could be had by the parties as a whole, and individuals with each other, who differed. However, Newt Gingrich took care of that when he made the word "compromise" akin to "weakness", and turned the parties totally against each other.

This separatist attitude grew and festered through the Bush, Clinton & Obama era's. Majority leaders like Boehner and Moscow Mitch fanned the flames and Trump threw gasoline on the fire. Along the way, millions of people lost their sense of propriety and decency and became Trumpers, doing pretty much anything he wanted and believing anything he said. Conversation became impossible as facts meant nothing, everything against him was fake news, and you either fell in line or not.

It hasn't improved much, although more Republicans are turning away from him but too many Trumpers remain entrenched, despite all evidence that their fuhrer is mentally ill. There are still Trumpers who think nothing of import happened on Jan. 6th, and the whole thing was mostly peaceful except for a "few folks".

This is one reason why the hate festers, but there are more and it is another story for another question.

Because we are not one culture.

It's funny. The Founding Fathers created this nation founded on the principle of freedom. That you can be whoever you wanted. You could participate in any religion. You could identify with any culture or ethnic group.

Now in the beginning these freedoms were only for "White" males. But this was the foundation we had a nation for building this concept of Constitutional rights and freedoms that would eventually be a goal for everyone who came here or was brought here against their will.

But that's our starting point. That we didn't need to be one culture or one ethnic group. We just had to acknowledge that each one of us has Constitutional rights that cannot be taken away. Well, that has pissed off a group of racist and misogynists. And they have basically been pissed about this expanding of freedoms and rights since we have been a nation.

We are on the brink of another civil war, though it would be much more problematic to fight. It would be like pitched battles here and there. Chaos and craziness in the streets. It seems like that is what we are being bred for with all these mass killings everyday. We are being prepared for something much worse. Something like Iraq back in 2003. The Sunni insurgency was responsible for pitched battles, mass killings, etc.

Mainly because for almost 200 years we had the best country and culture the world has ever seen and we had created the most peaceful, in general, time the world had ever seen. In a matter of about 25 years the cohesion that allowed for these incredible accomplishments has disappeared. For the last 15 years the left, primarily held up by manipulation women into voting for policies that don’t even benefit themselves, has eroded the culture and weaponized social media to the point that politics has become culture and most peoples identities. With culture being politics now the only language that politics truly understands is power. If you have power you will use it as you see fit; if you don’t have power you will do anything to get it. Think about this, the USA is virtually the size of Europe. Sure Europe is older but the amount of diversity is comparable. So imagine fitting all those countries into one and on top of that have a system where there's basically only 2 political parties.
There's a lot of decent people and communities in the US, but they're sooo many that there is always going to be super fanatic people. And because of their system you end up having the extremes be super loud, while most people (which are moderate) are rather quiet.

Obama started this over 10 years ago. He made everything about race. He said white people were racist, America is a racist country, all cops are racist, black people are killed for the white man's sport. His policies gave minorities advantages in getting jobs and lucrative government contracts. This created the animosity between the races that we have today. Biden has made it 10X worse with his racist policies. His appointees are all affirmative action rejects. We have vast geographic circumstantial, economic, ideological, and cultural differences. We are forced to fight each other every few years over mutually exclusive policies to address every different issues and priorities set by Washington D. C.

It’s a purposeful divide that the elite / powerful individuals (including politicians from both sides) and mainstream media that has cultivated the divide for the past 40+ years. It’s much easier to divide a population and conquer than try to conquer the entire population. The elites / politicians also use the constant divide to distract most of the population from their main goal: self enrichment.

There will always be the nut jobs on both the far left and far right….. but I feel the majority of the free thinking individuals are moderate / down the middle and sway slightly left or right depending on a given topic.
