I’m white and, by a factor of three, the most expensive concert ticket I’ve ever purchased was $200 to sit ten feet from B. B. King. I’ve also seen Diana Ross in concert.

I listen to country and Hawaiian music, but I also love jazz, blues, some older Mo Town and 50’s rock, which was once heavily influenced by black artists. (Buddy Holly was once booked at The Apollo because they thought he was black.)

It’s nothing new. I also know a lot of white teenagers who listen to rap noise. Rap doesn’t count here, you’re question was about music.

In reality White people make up the biggest demographic with disposable income so Black artists are likely very excited when some White people start buying their music. That's how someone like Rihanna becomes a billionaire.
