Only screwed if she cheats and gets away with it. Nobody likes her, and more importantly, nothing of value would actually change for the better with her in office; she walks the same circles and collaborates with the same global interests as every other establishment elite in the country that is screwing everything up now. Running Hillary would basically hand 2024 to the Republicans (assuming the Republicans don't metaphorically shoot themselves in the head during the campaigning).

The best thing the Democrats could do is unearth a mostly obscure but charismatic and young candidate who doesn't have their hands dirty with the current administration, and can pass for a common sense thinker, or at least more moderate; basically a pre-president Obama 2.0. If they try to rally behind Biden, Harris, Newsom, Clinton, Buttigieg, or AOC, they're screwing themselves, but these seem to be the names they're testing the waters with.

@MikeInHawaii That would certainly be interesting, but she has pissed off virtually every major democratic party benefactor, so it's extremely unlikely the party would even let her become the nominee. The party is extremely vigorant and ensuring they can control whoever the nominee is, and Tulsi goes against the grain too much for them. This is also why they twice torpedoed Bernie Sanders despite the fact they fundamentally want most of the same things he does; if they can't be controlled, then they can't be allowed.

Nothing new about the puppet masters wanting candidates they can control, even in the local races. My father ran for county commissioner in 1972. A political action committee offered to donate $10,000 to his campaign (a new Cadillac was about $6,000 at the time). My father was invited to come to their meeting and they would tell him what positions to take on the issues.

My father said “I’ll come to your meeting, I’ll tell you where I stand on the issues, and you can decide whether or not you still want to donate to my campaign.”

They had no interest in my father at that point. His positions didn’t matter, if they couldn’t dictate to him.

And beyond personal aspirations, if she's dividing the party then she's not really doing what's best for her party. Sometimes to help your party you have to make that sacrifice.
