Thank the US Supreme Court. Georgia, Louisiana, Texas and Florida all have laws on the books allowing the death penalty for raping a child. Georgia law allows the death penalty for all rapes. The Supreme Court won’t let them enforce these laws.

I think dogs tend to have better minds and souls than many of the people I know. There were 19,000 murders in this country last year and about 40 fatal dog bites. Children are 12 times as likely to be killed by a parent than by a dog.

I wish people could elevate their behavior to the level of some dogs.

@WhiteBoyChill No matter what you accuse them of they are indeed humans and we had previously agreed they are entitled to the same protection of the same rights you are.
Dogs by contrasts are not human, we did not agree they are entitled to the protection of any rights and are indeed put down on a regular basis simply because they have no humans to look after them.

Anyone can call anyone else anything and claim they deserve nothing, true or not we had already agreed otherwise.

According to my late father, we can. The Eight Amendment is usually interpreted as forbidding cruel OR unusual punishment. It forbids cruel AND unusual punishment. That means you can have unusual punishment as long as it isn’t cruel and cruel punishment if it isn’t unusual.

For child molesters, I’m okay with castration with a cheese grater.
