The issue is that people are being stupid about sex. Be it not using any from of contraceptives or not vetting their partners. Because it tames both a man and a woman to make a child both have a equal stake in being smart about sex. @MangoBob The right does the same. But a lot of the times it comes from the same illogical thinking. People on both sides get caught up in the idea that you can legislate something away. There are plenty of examples in history that show how such thinking never works. Also their are plenty of examples of how such thinking can make a issue even worse then it was before and possibly crate new issues. For example of this is the war on drugs. It lead to a massive expansion of the illegal drug trade both here in the states and internationally. Also it made the trade a hell of a lot more profitable.

Child support shouldn't be a thing at all. It is possible to support your child without the state being involved. If anything, it's tyrannical as if the spouse who must pay it loses their job, it's prison for them.
