It depends on the braid but generally no! Braids are hot no matter your skin tone is. I mean my brother did some work in Haiti not that long ago and when he came back his hair was in cornrows. I don’t even know what the proper name is because I am white… but I know that was what he did. And it looked goofy aF. That being said he was trying to feel the culture and brake down the barriers while he was there. And it worked! Until he came home. Lol! He looked fine but it still looked weird. And I feel like that is the issues we all have with all of this weird braid business. It is fine for white peoples to do black peoples things too just like it is fine for black people to do white peoples things… and the second we start judging each other is when we get racist AF and need to shut our faces. Because then we are doing the same thing we are all firing against.

Unfortunately as the other guy was saying it could also be taken to be talking about say French braids and that is just clearly a European look. Some people just want something to be offended by and pissed off about. I don't get it but you are seeing it more and more. All I can do is laugh about it and you better believe I'll laugh at you in public when I see it. Because I have seen more and been through the kind of crap that the majority of people can only imagine. So if something as simple as someone wearing braids is enough to set you off, then I hope life never throws something serious at you. As you said, depends on the person, the hair and face. I've seen some black women with braids that just don't look good. You gotta keep in mind that you can't say shit this days without getting almost everyone offended and feeling victim of whatever, don't let them brainwash you, keep your ideas, your point of view and talk about it freely.
They do not. People have been braiding their hair for tens of thousands of years, although braiding styles vary across cultures, largely due to differences in hair texture. British sailors around 1800 used to ir hair in a long braid, and the length was a point of pride.
Depends on the kind of braids. If its one that us black people wear e. g. box braids, faux locs, etc. Then YES weird and it used to stir a visceral reaction within me but now I quelled down on that part but its still strange to see to me.

why is that? I'm neither black nor white and I braid my hair to prevent hair loss. In fact, many women in my country have been doing so for ages. Heck, it was mandatory in my school to wear two plaits.
