Anonymous(36-45)+1 ySo, he took classified documents, said he sent them back but didn’t, and then when asked about them moved them instead, and now he wants people to believe that he “didn’t know about them” but that they were “planted” AFTER he had “declassified” them.
What?

Asker+1 yI know. It's also perfectly logical isn't it? 🙄

Given they took all the documents out of his home in boxes without any kind of supervision of lawyers we really have no way of knowing that any of the documents were ever there.
It really doesn't matter either way. A president has ultimate declassification power, so strictly speaking all documents are only classified if Trump agreed they were classified.
The real problem is the search and prosecution itself WILL undermine the case for all future presidents agreeing to surrender power to a political enemy after an ugly election going forward. This is going to be a very real problem that will destroy the republic sooner or later as it has every other country with such power and attitudes.
Like it or not there is a reason even after being CONVICTED in an impeachment the Constitution does not allow for any punishment beyond removal from office.
You either leave former top leaders alone or you may soon find it difficult getting them to agree to become former leaders.
Asker+1 y@monorprise His lawyers were present at Mar-A-Lago. Also if the FBI planted evidence, Trump's security cameras should reveal that. So why doesn't he released the video of them planting evidence? Because it's bullshit.
www.cbsnews.com/.../
The classification for top secret documents doesn't work that way And the Trump can't declassify nuclear secrets.
www.theatlantic.com/.../
The real problem is Trump's cult is a bunch of brainwashed, ignorant, fucking morons.

@Asker - Trump's lawyers may have been AT Mar-a-Lago, but they were NOT allowed to view or oversee the search the FBI performed. They were told to wait outside. Therefore, they don't know specifically what was taken. Today we heard Trump state they took his 3 passports (one of which was expired). That was needed by the FBI?
As for declassifying documents, the President CAN declassify ANY document or portion of it, they so choose, at ANY time. That's their prerogative. And like I've read multiple times, if these were SOOOOO damn important, then why wait 19 months later to come after them in a raid - especially since Trump had been working with the National Archives and Records Administration all along.
Finally, if it's the classified information that's really bothering you, then were you as pissed at Hillary for having classified info on her personal server? Just the possession of those in that situation is enough to get you jailed. Why was NOTHING done to her? I guarantee if I did the same thing as Hillary with my security clearance, I'd be in jail for the rest of my life. Yet, she's able to do whatever she wants. - +1 y
the entire story is fake. there is no classified information here
Asker+1 y@Goforit1010 There is no law either in the Constitution or Florida State law that says an attorney has the legal right to be present during the execution of a search warrant. So what difference does it make beyond peddling conspiracy theories?
You're completely wrong on how declassification works. There's a process by which it goes through especially for top secret documents and Trump did not go through that process for these documents. And the president can not declassify nuclear secrets.
www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-classified-records/
www.theatlantic.com/.../
And which is it? Were the documents declassified, or were they planted by the FBI?
This spring Trump received a subpoena for the documents from the justice department. He did not comply with the subpoena. so no, he wasn't cooperating with the investigation. And if he was complying, what was in those 20 boxes they took out of Mara Largo?

You guys are falling back on the greatest hits in desperation aren't you? But her emails! But her emails! LOL.
Asker+1 y@007kingifrit How do you know? Because your cult leader who told 30000 lies said so? Or because you're a delusional, brainwashed, fucking moron who believes whatever fascist propaganda tells you?
- +1 y
@Asker - You (or I) have no idea IF the documents ceased WERE classified or not. So your Q about who Trump was selling nuclear secrets to is complete bullshit.
Just because Trump received a subpoena and didn't comply with that, doesn't prove he wasn't cooperating with the NARA. They're the ones who requested he put an (additional) lock on the room where the documents were located. He did. Shows he WAS cooperating with someone!
And yeah - but her emails. There's a difference IF Trump actually had classified documents (locked up) vs. Hillary's private server (full of classified emails) that was proven to be hacked by multiple foreign countries. She wasn't selling any information, she was just giving it away to anyone who wanted to access her server. Damn traitor!
Asker+1 y@Goforit1010 We do know they were classified because the Justice Department's search warrant said they were. Trump also said he Declassified them. So how could he declassify something that wasn't classified? But he didn't go through the proper procedure, so his claim of declassification is bullshit.
Trump got a subpoena, but did not comply with the subpoena. So how the hell can you say he was cooperating? Are you really this stupid? If he was cooperating, he would have sent the documents they subpoenaed him for. Duh.
Asker+1 y@Goforit1010 By the way, it's funny how the Trump cult stopped the Obama kept 30 million classified documents whataboutism after Nara debunked that bullshit. and fell back on "but her emails".
A smart person would get that Trump is lying about everything.![Who was Trump selling nuclear secrets to?]()

It’s a good question- how much taxpayer money has been wasted by the Democrats pursuing political persecution for their own ends, including covering up their crimes? A lot. Many millions, probably hundreds of millions.
You’re not smart enough to recognize sarcasm. No surprise there, since you uncritically lap up any nonsense the Democrats tell you. But this is a lawless government and nothing would surprise me anymore that it does, which is the larger point you’re too dumb to realize.
Asker+1 y@Avicenna Did the possibility that Trump illegally took top secret documents and he's being investigated for that crime ever cross your mind? or do you just immediately venture into absurd conspiracy theory land for everything you don't want to believe?
- +1 y
Does the possibility that you haven't considered everything ever pass your mind?
The FBI doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because they illegally wiretapped his 2016 campaign as and pushed the Russia Hoax and was never held accountable for that. The national security thing is a red herring- the search warrant covered every document from his administration, which is overly broad and covers a lot more than national security possibly could. The Jan. 6 committee would love to have access to documents they aren't supposed to have access to due to attorney/client and executive privilege and Trump has sued Hillary Clinton, so there are at least two groups of people who'd love to see what he has. Makes more sense to me than the weak claims of "national security" when the site was inspected as recently as June.
So no, I don't believe the BS when it doesn't stand up to even the mildest scrutiny.
Loony claims like him allegedly selling nuclear secrets are not to be taken seriously without some serious evidence, especially given the mountains of false claims already made and debunked in the past six years.
Asker+1 y@Avicenna No, those possibilities never occurred to me because they're all based on lies and conspiracy theories.
Asker+1 y@Avicenna Lol, what facts? Everything you said was a lie or conspiracy theory.
Asker+1 y@Avicenna I could debunk every single lie and conspiracy theory in this mountain of bullshit you've peddled. But what's the point? You'll just deny reality, peddle more conspiracy theories, or call it fake news.
For example conspiracy theory about Trump's campaign being spied on is complete bullshit, and does it have a single fact to support it. The only “evidence” you have is the word of Donald Trump, Trump sycophants.
Chris Wray, the FBI director appointed by Donald Trump, said there was no evidence of illegal spying on trump.
