It kind of depends on the situation, and how old.

The main priority of any war is to protect the freedom and life of as much of the population as possible both current and future.

Therefore the point at which you have to send kids out to fight is often not the point where you should be fighting that way at all.

If your soo out numbered and cannot fight conventionally with the men you have then you should be fighting unconventionally not bleeding your population for a Pyrrhic victory at best.

They cannot be armed without training first. Ordinary people joined the Ukraine army and had to be trained when receiving their first ever weapons. I have not found any evidence of children being armed. If the Ukrainian army which has always been small prior to the war does not arm the kids then I'm sure the United States will not arm the kids here. Our army is big and strong already.

Interesting question considering the US gun laws. How is letting kids own (but not buy) long guns a moral decision? In 30 states there is no minimum age, in 1 other 14 years old and in 2, 16 years old. What possible justification can there be for a kid to legally be in possession of a long Uzi sub-machine gun?
