If you were born between 1993-1998, which generation do you claim?

I was born 96 so always felt more in between like (zillennial) maybe slightly leaning towards gen z. Just can't really vibe with millennials for some reason.

I'm just wondering if anyone else born during that time has a hard time choosing which generation they belong to?

Everyone else that doesn't fall into those years what do you think about zillenials?

there's no such thing as Zilennial. Its not official. I know my age says 31, but i'm actually 28. I wasn't being serious in the birth date section of this account and just was too lazy to put my real birthdate because I get asked that shit too many times and I just don't care at this point, but i'll try to make it close as possible, although 31 isn't that far off from 28 anyway. I never associated myself with Gen Z folks at all. Nor do I feel like I am remotely part of that generation or a "zillenial." When I was

in high school and middle school people in my grade did not have smart phones. It only became a thing once I left high school. Gen Z people started using phones as kids in middle school or earlier. I'm also not that absorbed into social media BS and only use Facebook and Instagram. I've noticed Gen z kids like to do tik tok crap and snap chats, not my cup of tea. I think the real cutoff for Milennials is 1996. People born 1994 - 1996 grew up the same way I did. But people born 1997 or later grew up differently and weren't familiar with a lot of things when I was a kid. Its pretty interesting.

Millennials are from 1982 to 1997. Full stop. Anyone born January 1st, 1998 would be Generation Z/a Zoomer.

"Zillenials" is stupid. That's like claiming you're the worst of both worlds: A woke moron who believes in made-up sexualities and genders, but also obsessed with TikTok and mumble rap. I'd rather just call myself a Zoomer, cause Zoomers are nowhere near as bad as Millennials, and they're the worst generation to ever exist in modern history.

I was born in 1986 and would rather call myself a Zoomer if I could get away with it. At least 60% of Zoomers aren't liberal/progressive/woke.

Zillenial here. I used to think I was more millenial because I always looked up to older peers, but they're at the point of starting families...

Gen z experienced covid education or tried to land their first Job during covid, so I don't relate to them in that way. I've also paid off my student loans, know how to adult, and coown property. So I have a bit more direction and stability in life than my gen z younger peers.

I think Zillenial is a great label for me as I have older friends/cousins starting families and I have younger friends in their first job and moving into their first apartment. I feel very equidistant between the two.

Really I’m a Zillennial? 1993 same day Ruth Bader Gansburg was nominated to the Supreme Court a very very very very very very dark day in American history she was a terrible justice ended up dividing the country even more, Amy Coney Barrett will be a lot better Supreme Court justice then Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

obviously I’m a guy because there’s only two genders and you cannot switch between genders that idea is stupid trans people do not exist because you can’t be a man and transition into a woman that is stupid I don’t want to live in a country or a society that thinks that way.

I was born 1990 and I see myself as a Millennial but I don't think it's very important. Generations are just something made up. Yes some people will have similar experiences if they were born around the same time but my life is very different than most peoples lives. Most people don't understand what I'm dealing with no matter what generation they're from so it's something handy if you have to write a bunch of news articles every day but is there really that much meaning to it? I pretty much saw the entire development of computers and mp3 players and then smart phones etc. And I think it's a great perspective to have how things were before and how they are now. But it's not something that defines my life.

I was born in 1995, so I’m a Zillennial. I was born in the last years of the “Good Ol’ Days.” I grew up without internet, cell phones, iPods and tablets. I never owned anything that was operated by a battery other than a basic wristwatch when I was growing up. It wasn’t until I was 13 till I got my first iPod. And I worked to get my own phone and iPod touch.

Interesting... I was born early in the Gen X era so I am curious if there is sub-generation between Gen X and Boomers... but, no disrespect to my slightly older folks, but I'd rather stick with Gen X as it feels younger and hipper lol

As for "zillenials", it's a got a nice ring to it - and kind of gives you the best of both gen worlds :)

Born in '92. My formative years were at the turn if the millennium, so I'm a millennial. Although quite honestly I differentiate people but the earliest major event they remember. Like for me it's 9-11. Since 1994 (people don't have memory until about age 3), there have been several major events that differentiate people. Remembering 9-11, remembering Obama's election, remembering Jaunary 6. So the generation before me would remember the fall of The Berlin Wall.

Strauss and Howe, the people who came up with the term, set it as "those who graduated [high school] in 2000, and those born in 2000, and all in-between". In the US, that's September of 81 through December of 2000. 96 is in the later half, but still clearly Millennial.

Technically, everyone who was born in the early 80s, to middle 90s (1995) is by definition: a millenial. GenZ (1995-2010); although, there is really no universal study that defines the generations.
