I also remember when Dr. Fauci continued to insist that AIDS was transmitted via casual contact into the early and mid 1990s, long after his contemporaries figured out that it's only transmitted via unprotected sex. He never apologized for being wrong about that either.

Science can be wrong, contradictory, even nonsensical, but that's the nature of data interpretation, which is the foundation of science.

You can only work with the data and information that you have on the subjects. Everyone extrapolates from that differently.

Fauci gave the best advice that was available to him at the time. There is no clear evidence of him lying about anything. Sure he could have interpreted things differently and taken advice better. But in the middle of a pandemic - anything that could have worked, was tried.

The masks helped greatly, and had fuckwits worn masks on those first few weeks instead of arguing about them. The pandemic might not have went on as long.

The Science was made out to be an infallible fixed thing, rising to the status of a religion, people's health and livelihoods were being threatened and ruined and now you're indifferently acknowledging that the science can be wrong, it goes wrong, it can go badly wrong?
