Should it be quicker to change sex?

The Gender Recognition Reform Bill currently being proposed in Scotland is designed speed up the application for a gender recognition certificate (GRC).

The Bill would cut the length of time a person has to live in their acquired gender before applying from two years to three months. A medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria would no longer be required, removing the need for doctors' reports.

Opponents argue that a move to self-identification and the removal of medical involvement in obtaining a gender recognition certificate will pose a risk to women in single-sex spaces.

But where do you stand on the issue?

I never thought nor imagined I'd see the day I had to actually make a decision on this... that we had to make laws about it.

We've screwed up our hormonal environment... remember that "caveat emptor" and "carpe diem"... yep, were paying for it... and maybe all those "nuclear tests" had some negative effects we didn't anticipate.

I have no idea... I'd definitely not allow kids to do this.

It just says people are hormonally unstable or emotionally confused. why they don't choose the sex that their body has, I don't understand.

More often than not these people are suffering form an unrelated psychological condition and self diagnose it as gender dysphoria. Also medical clinics and surgeons are making tons of money pushing gender transition.

But once you make a full transition that’s it. Can get back that penis you cut off if you regret it later.

So expediting this is crazy and extremely dangerous.

I don’t think it’s possible to change an X chromosome to a Y chromosome or vice versa. To change gender, I think so.
